Payout rejected and account…
Payout rejected and account hard-breached over a 7-second accidental click
I want to share my full experience with Alpha Trader and I sincerely hope their Risk Team will manually review my case.
I had this funded account for approximately 20 days and put a lot of time, patience, and effort into following the rules. I completed 5 profitable trading days and successfully met the 15% consistency requirement, which is one of the most difficult consistency requirements I have experienced with prop firms.
I carefully managed the account, completed the required trading period, respected the account limits, achieved the required consistency, and eventually became eligible for my first payout.
My dashboard showed that I was eligible to withdraw, and my payout share was approximately $3,910.
I submitted my payout request expecting my trading history to be reviewed. Instead, the payout was rejected and my account was marked as a Hard Breach for hedging because of one trade.
Here is exactly what happened:
I already had an XAUUSD Sell position open. I wanted to open another position in the same Sell direction, but I accidentally pressed Buy instead of Sell.
I immediately realized that I had clicked the wrong direction and closed the Buy position after only 7 seconds.
This was not an intentional hedge. It was not part of my strategy. I was not trying to profit from holding positions in opposite directions. It was simply an accidental click that I noticed and corrected almost immediately.
The most important point is that Alpha Trader can verify this themselves from my complete trading history. They can see the exact timestamps showing that the opposite trade existed for only 7 seconds, and they can also review what I did afterward and see that I continued trading in the direction I had originally intended.
After maintaining this account for around 20 days, completing 5 profitable trading days, meeting the difficult 15% consistency requirement, waiting for my payout eligibility date, and finally reaching a payout of approximately $3,910, losing both the payout and the account because of one accidental click lasting only 7 seconds feels extremely disproportionate.
I understand and respect that Alpha Trader prohibits hedging. I am not asking them to remove their rules or ignore genuine violations.
I am asking them to distinguish between someone intentionally using a hedging strategy and a trader who pressed the wrong button once, realized it immediately, and corrected the mistake within 7 seconds.
I have contacted Alpha Trader and specifically requested a manual review by a human member of the Risk Team. I hope they review the entire sequence of trades and timestamps rather than treating this accidental 7-second trade as intentional hedging.
I genuinely worked hard to comply with their rules, and I hope Alpha Trader gives me a fair manual review instead of allowing one small execution mistake to erase all of that work.
I will update this review with the company’s response and the final outcome of my appeal.
