I booked a package holiday to Rhodes (Evita Bay Hotel) through Travelodeal from a deal I found on Wowcher and it has been a nightmare. I paid for a room upgrade only to be provided with a blanket that was stained with blood. I was exposed to this biohazard for hours before discovering it.

​When I contacted Travelodeal’s 'support' team, I was met with total indifference from the agent I dealt with, Peter. Rather than advocating for me as the 'Organiser' under the Package Travel Regulations, Travelodeal acted simply as a messenger for the hotel, relaying their dishonest claims and excuses - The hotel didn't change all bed linen as promised after the incident and made wild claims of me putting a separate blanket on the floor when I didn't, which is something totally irrelevant to the issue of me being exposed to a contaminated sheet in a room unfit for purpose! A classic deflect and distract tactic which I pointed out to Travelodeal's indifference again.

Travelodeal and the hotel have refused to refund my room upgrade fee or offer any meaningful compensation for the distress of being exposed to bodily fluids.

​If you book with Travelodeal, be warned: if anything goes wrong, you are on your own. They prioritise their relationship with the hotel over the safety and health of their customers. I am currently seeking a Section 75 claim and an ABTA escalation.

The person we worked with, Jeff, was very nice and patient with us as he explained our travel and tour choices.
