Don’t Buy from here. It’s a Scam.
BE ADVISED, Triathlonkits.com is the same as Lovethepain.com which is operated by Ben Haas and has previous reviews from Trust Pilot for the same problems I outline below.
My purchase was placed on Oct. 30th, 2022 at Love the Pain Web Store. There was a 50% coupon available and I'd been thinking of purchasing from LTP before, but couldn't justify a $350.00+ price tag, per item.
When I placed the order (Be Awesome Today Men's S Trisuit) I was informed the item was in stock, at the outlet, and ready to ship by the LTP staff. The product had finished production, and I should expect the receive the item within 6 weeks, top. Well, fast forward almost 12 weeks to December 3rd, I requested an update by e-mail, to which I was told it would ship by Dec 12th. I requested two updates thereafter and received not response from LTP staff. Because of this I submitted a dispute with my financial institution for failing to receive my merchandise within the specified time-frame. LTP staff sent a scathing e-mail...["You made a credit card dispute??? Why would you do such a thing??? This is not ok. You ordered a hand made garment which is being made now. Lead time is 6-8 weeks as posted without delay. our suit was to ship Tuesday. We will be forced to place you in collections for the amount disputed, fees, and losses."]. my response: ["This order was placed on Oct 31st, which you replied to a estimated 4-6 weeks working time, in writing. Additionally, I asked for an update on the product on Dec. 3rd for which you replied it would be shipped on Dec, 14th the Tuesday after my inquiry. After that nothing else was said nor was the product shipped. Out of good faith I waited an additional two weeks and requested an update, to which I received no response, so I submitted a dispute for not receiving the product as promised, in writing. I’d rather, at this point, you can keep the item, and cancel the entire order. I do not wish to do business with you due to your unprofessionalism at this point in the relationship. It’s interesting that it took a credit card dispute to get your attention and I’m just happy to cancel the order and you provide a refund, after which I’ll be happy to cancel the pending litigation."] - Additionally, LTP finally sent the product and I received it today.
A couple things...I'm so glad I did not pay full retail ($350.00) for this item! The quality is not what I was expecting and feel the product is far less superior than it's competitors (i.e. Eliel Cycling, Spaero, Trimtex), all of which I own TriSuits from. 1) The stitching is sub-par to what I would expect from a "high-quality" piece in that I can see both pieces of fabric through the stitching and the fabric is separating. 2) the piece wreaks of smoke, yes! As in someone smoked during the production process and failed to at least wash the garment. 3) The chamois pad which is built in is poorly sewn into the suit and does not fit/form well to the body from front to rear. 4) The fit is not exemplarly of a high-end tri-suit (I race in Tri-Suits often!). The leg grippers are extremely tight around the thigh and the arm sleeves are also very tight and constricting. I wear a size small from competitors and have never run into this situation. 5) The zipper is a YKK 2 zipper, but there is no protector which separates the zipper from skin contact. This makes for uncomfortable wear and the zipper continually rubs against the skin.
Overall, do not give LTP your business unless you want a sub-par product. Spend your hard earned cash somewhere else. I am throwing away the LTP trisuit because Ben Haas most definitely not take this product back and I'm ok with that..I know for sure I will not recommend this company to my fellow racers.
UPDATE:
Since having this product, it has completely fallen apart and the materials are completely destroyed from a few washes. It’s disintegrated and the materials are extremely thin. 4/16/23
