Incredible Support Team
I described to company that I wanted them to take care of the accommodations and I go and explore Japan on my own and they did exactly that! My experience was adventurous and fun but what made it happen was the awesome support I got throughout the trip. Highly recommend for first time travelers or even returning travelers like myself.

There was a lot to consider when planning the trip; we wanted to learn about the Japanese education system and visit schools, see historical sites, gain insight into the country and its people, and also have a reasonable amount of free time. Our trip to Japan in the spring of 2026
Our trip to Japan in the spring of 2026 was a great success, and the travel agency Trip to Japan played a big part in that. It's challenging to go to a foreign country on one’s own for the first time, so finding TriptoJapan.com was crucial. We had specific ideas about what we wanted to see and do in Japan, including going on a bike tour, going to a ryokan and onsen baths.
Trip to Japan helped us streamline those ideas, including how much was realistic to do in the time we had available. In a briefing, where we were shown over 70 slides, we immediately felt that they were experienced and at home in terms of culture and conditions, as the travel agency's staff has lived in Japan for a long time or has family ties there.
The location of the hotels they chose for us was particularly convenient with regard to our needs and travel options. This created a good framework for our trip. They also booked Shinkansen and bus trips, as well as renting us bikes to cycle the wonderful Shimanami Kaido route. Everything went smoothly and we quickly found that we didn’t need to worry about anything.
The office provided us with a detailed information pack, day by day, which we could consult online along the way. It not only contained practical information but also welcomed suggestions on what to see at our destinations, and suggested good restaurants and dishes.
The entire approach was exemplary and the communication was most pleasant. We were invited to contact them if anything was unclear or if something came up during the trip. Although we only had to use it once – we got a reply right away – it was a good safety valve. During the trip, we were sent text messages to remind us of certain things we needed to do well in advance, which was appreciated.
We wholeheartedly recommend Trip to Japan to anyone who wants to travel to the Land of the Rising Sun.

We had a 3 weeks tour to Japan organized by "Trip To Japan". It was really a pleasure dealing with this company.
Every thing we asked for was catered for. All the suggestions for what to do on the trip and where to go were brilliant. The itinerary was put on our cell phone and was easy to follow. Location of hotels were fantastic (very important in Japan). This company knows Japan very well, very reasonably priced and they really know how to make your trip very enjoyable and hassle free. Lovely easy evening ride around the city. …
I signed up because I just wanted a light bus trip thru the evening night in Tokyo. To my great surprise it also included a stop at Tokyo Tower and a ride up to the viewing platform, which was a great treat. It was a lovely way to see a bit of Tokyo that you don't see when you are dragging yourself on the sidewalks and trains, so highly recommended. The guide only spoke Japanese and I was the only non-Japanese speaker on the bus but she made a lot of effort to make sure I knew when to meet back at the bus from the Tower climb. Oh, and forgot to mention that the guide sang us a very beautiful song while we were gliding along in the fresh night air.

The booking process was very unclear
The booking process was very unclear. You’re not actually getting a ticket to the class/event right away, but they’ll ‘try’ to get you into the class. Once they succeed they then capture the payment.
They were nice, but there was a lot of unnecessary stress in arranging what should have been an easy booking. Lots of emails going back and forth while we were on a holiday.
We got there in the end and had a great experience.
