First rate company that prioritises enjoyment of an exciting growing sport that I’ve played now for many years (since 2011).

Their representative organisers James Price & Paul Evitt are my two favourites because as both players & staff - they go the extra mile to make things work well!

James has been so amazing with our group in Peckham, training up novices from scratch, hearing us out, reiterating the rules, rocking up at practice sessions, and all with a calm and professional demeanour. Love rugby, but love James more (only just)

Tag rugby is such a great way to socialise and keep/get fit. I play the thurs London Bridge league and hands down it’s the most fun and social, it’s due to the venue manager James Price who encourages us not just on the pitch but emphasise the social aspect and it’s about having fun . I have made some great friends and had great experiences.

The game is great! It's essentially low stakes rugby with a mix of people that used to play full contact and individuals who have never played the game before. The levelling out becomes an entertaining run-around on weekdays and the occasional tournament a few times per year. Having an organisation that is focused on putting events together and furthering the sport makes things move forward.

Convenience naturally plays a role and finding the right league is crucial. This is where, in my view, the biggest differences come up. The league organiser is a fundamental piece of the puzzle. They are the heart and soul of it all, incentivising everyone to come together and have fun. I play in two leagues and the organiser of my Thursday one, James, is the reason I keep coming back. He's organised, passionate, interested and it really shows. End of season celebratory events are practically standing room only!

Great for those who still want competitive sports but may not be able to play contact rugby anymore.
Very well organised league with James being very helpful with finding ringers or finding people teams to play in.

This Bermondsey winter TTR league is fantastic. It is organised very well and I’ve always had fun. The teams and people playing are great and friendly. Even the refs are good (which isn’t always the case). James Price the organiser is one of the best in my opinion. Everything is extremely well organised and he goes above and beyond to make the league fun. He organised a number of events within the league (Christmas and six nations) and is always on hand to cheer and shout encouragement for teams. His enthusiasm is infectious which adds to the fun. Great league, great organiser. Join if you can!

Really enjoy our weekly tag games with TTR. James Price is a wonderful league organiser that has built a great community on Thursday nights.

I've been playing tag rugby since 2019 and have loved every minute of it. I got my wife into it in 2021 and she loves it too. It's great that we can play on the same team and we have met so many friends through it. The league organisers are brilliant, especially Pricey who goes above and beyond to make the league special.

Have had a great first couple of seasons playing Try Tag Rugby. The game is easy to learn, everyone is friendly, it’s great fitness and importantly so much fun! Would absolutely recommend to anyone to give it a go because it’s a game for everyone

Try Tag Rugby Newcastle is the most fun I've had this summer! Jack is such a welcoming and energetic host. He has created an excellent rugby and social community. I've made a host of new friends and contact, and it is an excellent way to stay fit. I'm already looking forward to the autumn league, which is also very good value for money!

Really well organised and a great bunch of people. Recommend giving it a go for some fun and then join a team!

As soon as I heard Tag Rugby Newcastle was available and they were looking to host some taster days I decided to sign up.

I had heard about tag rugby from friends and family who lived in areas where it was available and felt excited that it was being established in Newcastle.

Taster of days are amazing because they allow you to meet new people and get a feel for what tag rugby is about before you sign up. There were many different dates you could choose from with different times that who did you which was great because I work 9 to 5. I needed something in the evening.

On the day you get to meet people and the organisers of the event walk-through some of the rules of tag and tell you what you will be doing on that day. They had an amazing way of creating interactive games to help you meet people, socialise but also learn about the game in a fun way, later on during the day we got to play a game of tag to really get a feel for what it would be like.

One thing that is obvious on taster days is how friendly and welcoming everyone is, there are people of all ages, sizes, physical fitness, rugby experience, cultures and abilities, so you really do feel comfortable. It’s also great that tag is a mixed sport.

After the game is done, the organisers had planned to take everyone to the local pub so we could have a drink and socialise and get to know each other that little bit more. This was an amazing way to get to speak to different people in a more relaxing environment.

I have been playing tag rugby now for four months and I have enjoyed every single minute of it. I have made lifelong friends and cannot imagine my week without tag. We’ve done some amazing things since I joined like travel to Bristol for a tag festival, meet at the beach for a dip or even going for a 10k run and of course going out for a drink.

Last but not least, the owners of Newcastle tag Jack and Natasha are two of the most amazing, and welcoming lovely people I have ever met the work really hard to make sure everyone is comfortable, safe and most importantly have fun. They have created a community where strangers get together to play sports, and socialise. These are some of the kindness and most generous people I know.

I am so glad to be part of this amazing community that helps me keep fit meet new people and create new experiences. I could not recommend this enough to anyone.

From the moment I joined Try Tag Rugby, I was impressed by how welcoming and inclusive the community is. The organisers (Jack and Natasha) do an excellent job of making newcomers feel comfortable, ensuring a smooth transition into the game, regardless of skill level.

The league is exceptionally well-organised, with clear communication regarding schedules and rules. Whenever I have had any questions or issues, Jack and Natasha have been quick to respond, usually addressing concerns within a day. This level of responsiveness adds to the overall positive experience and makes participating enjoyable and stress-free.

Overall, Try Tag Rugby provides a fantastic environment for anyone looking to engage in a fun, social sport, with a supportive community and top-notch organisation.

Tag is great fun. The game is really quick and the ball is in a a lot so you get lots of touches and chances to run with the ball. The atmosphere is great, when games are on people sit on the sidelines and support the games. It’s just brilliant.

Joining the TTR league in Sheffield has been such a brilliant experience! Great bit of fitness and great socials!
