tutorchase.com Reviews

Good customer management. Michael was always helpful, doing check-in regularly, offering information when needed

Everything went well.My son found the lessons very useful and he was very happy with the teacher Mrs Harvey -Wilcox who helped him have a much better understanding of the exams. The website interface was also easy to use. Michael also did a good job guiding and making all the arrangements for the lessons.

Excellent tutor, went from low 4s in psych to high 6s!!! Thank you so much for preparing me for my exams :)

We had an excellent experience with TutorChase. From the very beginning, we felt fully supported, Michael at TutorChase was incredibly attentive and proactive in helping us find the right fit for my daughter, who is studying IB Biology HL.

Thanks to his guidance, we were matched with Yasar, who turned out to be an exceptional tutor. He explains concepts clearly and in great detail, making even the more complex parts of the Biology curriculum much easier to understand. What really stood out is how passionate he is about supporting his students,he was always patient, engaged, and willing to work through every question my daughter had.

Yasar’s dedication and teaching style made a real difference in her confidence and understanding of the subject. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I would highly recommend TutorChase to anyone looking for high-quality, personalized academic support.

I went from a grade D to an A in my unit 2 A level chemistry exam, due Kyla’s help. She’s very sweet and great at explaining things in an understandable way even when looking at new and difficult concepts. She is very flexible in her teaching and has helped in more ways than one. She provided me with thorough exam specific lessons, chapter specific worksheets and exam question guides using my actual past papers! I now feel I have a much stronger base in chemistry, which used to be my weakest subject, thanks to her help!

Very helpful. Very clear in explaining everything.

I had a really positive experience with TutorChase and would definitely recommend them for IB exam preparation. Michael, the academic consultant, was very accommodating and made the whole process of finding the right tutor easy and stress-free. He was always responsive and easy to communicate with. Justin, my ESS tutor is highly recommended aswell. He explained things clearly, focused on the areas I needed the most help with, and really improved my confidence and understanding before the exams. Overall, it was a smooth and supportive experience.

Wonderful Physics tutor experience - I can only recommend the tutor - even though he was on the other side of the world he found the right way to teach my son gaps and motivation!

Jason is the first English teacher that I have agreed with more than half of the time so that is a very good sign.
He answers questions by text very quickly and thoroughly.
He has given me very helpful advice on how to write my IB english papers and does not give unreasonable suggestions or demands.
Therefore excellent IB tutor overall!

As for tutor chase, they price too high. AI can do the tutor searching part for free.

Very responsive, organized quickly, professional. Followed up.

Fiona is an exceptional teacher—dedicated, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about her work. We feel very fortunate to have her supporting our son with his IB English, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive impact she has had.

Firstly, the customer service was excellent. I had Jethro Smith as my customer service agent, and he was very helpful and flexible with my request, even helping me to change tutors, etc.

However, my actual tutoring experience was very subpar.
1. The tutor, when teaching, was just reading from a textbook word-for-word at a very fast pace, becoming very robotic.
2. The tutor did not understand the content. When asking questions, it is evident that the tutor has to input the question into the AI and receive an answer. Every time a question was asked, there would be a pause, and then the tutor typed the question back into the AI and then waited around a minute for the AI to respond with an answer. One time I asked a simple question, and we waited for around 15 minutes because their AI was not working. I believe this is disingenuous, as I myself can also input questions into AI. It is important for the tutor to actually know what they are teaching.
3. They did not know the specific IB syllabus; it is advertised that the tutors are familiar with the specific syllabus they are teaching. However, this tutor did not provide specific information, often teaching content from past syllabuses or other exam boards, which is a problem when you are studying for an exam.

Because of the points listed above, I believe tutorchase tutoring is not worth the money, keeping in mind I paid £730 for the tutoring. What I received was a tutor who did not understand the material and had to constantly resort to AI for help. While there are some areas where the tutor understood, the majority of the time, teaching or answering questions, it would be read from AI or a textbook.

I was everything I needed. Mr Trent was very helpful.

Michael is proactive and is very helpful. Tutor Nesta is a great tutor and her classes are interesting.

Michael is very efficient and polite in the communication and I’m very grateful for recommending an excellent tutor for our son.

I have studied chemistry sl with Batool for quite some time now and it was honestly worth it my grade went from a 4 to a 7. Also Michael has been a great help with the entire process of finding good teachers and everything!

I looked into tutorchase for my younger sister as she was having a hard time communicating her questions and confusions at school. Michael was in touch with me throughout the whole process, I talked to him about our main priorities with tutoring and he suggested a tutor that he thought what be a good match, and he was right! My sister adjusted really well to the tutor (Hamilton) and we’ve seen improvement even when she does her independent revision. I’d definitely recommend tutorchase; clear communication, Michael particularly checks in to make sure if there any concerns and if it’s all going well. We’ve had a pretty solid experience.

I had a very positive experience with Tutor Chase. They helped me find a highly suitable physics tutor for my son, who is preparing for his A Levels.

Jethro was the person I contacted, and he was extremely helpful throughout the process—professional, responsive, and attentive to our specific needs. He made the whole experience smooth and efficient.

I would definitely recommend Tutor Chase to anyone looking for tailored academic support.

I've been doing the IB and struggled with Maths AI HL. I found Andrei especially helpful here, as he managed to explain complex topics to me in a simple, understandable way. Even if you still haven't understood it the first time, Andrei always tries to find another way to explain the topic. I am very grateful for his effort to line out some of these technical parts into understandable topics .

I took tutoring from Bob Creamer for nearly two years. He was always available and helped me break-down complex math topics. I am an IB DP student and take Math AI HL.
