do not trust these people,they will tell you a pack of mistruths when selling you a vehicle. I recently bought a vehicle from them that was supposedly serviced(it hadn't been touched(needed a new battery from the off as the stop start system wouldn't function as the voltage of battery was too low11.9 volts and so was in a fail safe mode), front pads were seized on 1 side each, there's a lot more to it which I won't put here, but always follow that old adage of "buyer beware", fortunately I have the skill set required to sort the issues that happened. Complaints procedure is a white wash where they tell you to use the supplied warranty, no warranty would ever be honoured for worn out service parts, honestly I will never ever deal with this company again and would recommend everyone has the vehicle they're purchasing independently assessed if you haven't got the skills to put things right.

The one thing I will say for them is that they were helpful in delivering the vehicle I wanted to their dealer closer to where I lived.

Ask yourself this question, if a seller won't even put a battery on a vehicle or have it serviced/checked properly, do you want to do business with them?.

My biggest concern which I pointed out to them was if someone had bought a car from them and knew nothing about cars, they would have taken as gospel that a service had been done as it was fully stamped up in the service history, they wouldn't have known about the brakes(until it was possibly too late), there are reputable dealers out there that will actually do all these things to ensure the car you buy is road worthy, I spent nearly 9.5k on a vehicle with full service history and in good condition.

Please please please heed my warning. Use a reputable dealer or at least have your vehicle checked by an independent company or mechanic. It's not worth the risk. This review hasn't been written to be horrible, just an honest review of my experience. They didn't even bother coming back to me with their response to my formal complaint, I had to contact the director who initially responded to my complaint.

Big thanks to the Hyde branch. Thank you Lewis, Nathan, Alex and Leyton. Great lads and they secured me a nice car. I will use Ucan again for my next car. They can even get certain cars for returning customers.

I rang ucan on the Monday they asked me which car I wanted. They said we should have 2 cars for you to see, so we went on Saturday instead of 2 there was 3 cars to choose from we were spoilt for choice! But the one we got was a SEAT LEON BLUE really beautiful went for a test drive and credit went through straight away,car was delivered to us on the following Monday! Quick service efficient and good sales people. Omar and Reiss did the paperwork. So do highly recommend them! Were going again for a second car!

**Please Read I can save you a lot of stress & outgoing finance**

I purchased a car on finance from UCAN in 2022. First couple of months the car kept cutting out when driving. Had to challenge this matter via both the finance co & UCAN to get this issue resolved.

Then I had the car at approx just over 2 years & the car was well & truly knackered ! Cost me £1,750 for a new oil pump, water coolant & cam belt change. Which I couldn’t drive my car for approx 8/10 weeks.

Then the DPF filter needed a full clean & a regen required - another £450. And to date the car is in the garage as there is an issue with the emissions & is costing me by each “elimination” job to resolve this emission issue.

Please, Please, please, I beg you whoever reads this … please take my advice / experience do not deal with UCAN.

And I’m not being disrespectful posting this towards UCAN I’m just being genuine & honest. From the 2.5 years I’ve had the car I’ve used it for like 2 years in total.

Don’t make the mistake I have, I do not want anyone go through the stress I have ! I’ve been paying & still paying to date each month for a car I couldn’t / can’t use … !!

UCAN explain i was happy to use their service until December 2024. This is totally incorrect. UCAN actually contacted me (evidence with phone calls etc available), I did not contact them.

After 2 years UCAN will contact you with new deals etc as they want you to carry on making further finance payments after the 2.5 year agreement stage. This basically, enables UCAN staff commission.

And you can clearly see UCAN are putting the blame towards me by explaining “it is your fault you have not maintained your car”? Is this the way to highlight details publicly? How do they know I have or haven’t maintained the car ? & UCAN then further outline personal details about me missing payments & I can’t get further finance etc? Is that necessary to make such untrue details towards a customer publicly ?

However, I do have invoices as evidence for payments regarding work that has been carried out on the car, MOT’s, services etc. Also I have emails as evidence which offers me car finance.

So for UCAN to try & publicly outline that I have not been maintaining the car & I can’t get finance arranged is absurd ! As you can clearly see with their reply to my original post UCAN obviously push any issues back on to the customer.

As you can also see in my original post I have not been directly disrespectful towards UCAN I have just explained my situation & given my opinion on dealing with a car from UCAN & if I’m wrong for being honest then so be it.

However, anyone reading this & possibly purchasing a car from UCAN please seek thorough advice & take a mechanic with you to thoroughly check any car over.

I’m only looking out for customers with the post as I don’t want anyone to experience my experience. This is nothing to do with “my responsibilities” according to UCAN. This is about not being able use something that you are paying out for within the agreement period (5 years). And I do not want any further customers to experience my experience.
