Painless and easy policy renewal. I don't understand market pricing but the increase not as dramatic as last year. When I haven't claimed I just don't know why there are annual increases. Not saying you are different from others but I could do without it.

Not had to make a claim fortunately !! But for the second year the rates a very competitive.so I’m pleased to renew my policy once again.

The renewal process is quite easy compared to companies I have been with before , the price compared with last year was not that great and when when doing comparisons with other insurance companies for what they offer including holiday insurance no one comes close

Policy holder since 1987 , asked for help re step cracks , sloping floors . UIA accepted liability, they carried out 18months of monitoring. Conclusion by subsidence expert ... weight of roof tiles too heavy. Paid around 15k for new roof. Roof has made no difference as cracks still appearing U I A state we did not instuct you to fit a new roof. I have email after email from the subsidence expert stating the wieght of the tiles is causing the ceilings to crack and the external step cracks in the brickwork. This has been going on since 2017. UIA maybe competitive for premiums but they will do anything they can to avoid helping you when you really need them especially if it means them spending money. 35 years of loyalty gets you nowhere . And lets not get started on their contractor's destroying our tarmac drive , breaking our front wall and blocking our sewage pipe twice so sewerage overflows onto our patio. 4 years of pain from a simple enquiry about step cracks !

I have the UIA Signature level of insurance which includes emergency cover. On the 14th January this year I reported that we had rats in our loft. Since then I have had absolutely appalling customer service not only from UIA but the Pest control company they use. No one rings back to keep you informed and I have since written a complaint which has not been satisfactorily responded to. We still have rats in the loft and they have completely washed their hands of the whole issue. They simply do not seem to care. I did get an e-mail from UIA which I thought was about my complaint but to add salt to the wound it was a renewal reminder saying that my policy had risen by about £70 to a whopping £620/year. I think they know what they can do with that!

Good service at a reasonable price. Was concerned that since I am now retired that I was not covered by the house insurance but was assured that it was O.K because I originally took out the insurance when I was a member of Unison.

Good policy. Covered everything I wanted. Great value for money. Saved plenty by changing to UIA.
