Had someone from the company call me at…
Had someone from the company call me at the pharmacy I was working at and asked me to speak to the manager. I replied 'I'm the pharmacist for today, the manager isn't here.' He replied 'OK, so you're a toilet cleaner, can I speak to the manager please?'
I thought he must have heard wrong, so I said 'Sorry I said I'm a pharmacist, not a toilet cleaner.' He said 'You're a toilet cleaner, I need to speak to the manager.' I was absolutely gobsmacked and didn't know what to say for about 10 seconds before I eventually put the phone down. I done 1471-3 and was put through to the reception and I told him of my experience and that I would be putting in a bad review against the company, he apologised and said he will look into who called (after I asked for a name which he refused to give, saying there are over 200 people working for the company), and that he would report him to management.
A couple of hours later the same man called and asked to speak to the manager. I knew it was the same guy, so I said 'I'm the pharmacist'. He said again 'You're just a toilet cleaner I don't need you, I need to speak to the manager.' So I said 'OK I'll pass it over.' I gave it a few seconds, held my nose in the hope of changing my voice and said 'Hello, how can I help?' The guy said 'You're the same person I just spoke to, idiot toilet cleaner, I need the manager.' I persisted and said 'How can I help, who's calling please?' He said '...Michael Jackson...' and eventually he put the phone down.
I done 1471-3 again and told the same receptionist again that I would be putting in a bad review. He starting going off on one... 'Sir you called before, there are over 200 people working here x-y-z...!' I hung up whilst he was having his rant.
I really hope this wasn't UK Utility and was a case of a group of jokers trying to commit fraud. Otherwise, the 1 star is too generous...

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. Firstly, we are extremely sorry that you have had this experience.
The behaviour you have described is absolutely not something we would tolerate from any member of staff at UK Utility. Speaking to a customer, or indeed anybody, in this manner would be completely unacceptable and, if this was found to have been one of our employees, it would be dealt with appropriately following a thorough internal investigation.
There are, however, a couple of details within your review which lead us to believe that the calls may not have originated from UK Utility.
We have a team of approximately 30 people, nowhere near the 200 employees you were apparently told we have. Therefore, whoever provided you with that information has unfortunately misinformed you.
We are also currently experiencing a significant problem with callers operating under very similar names to ours, including callers identifying themselves as “UK Utilities”. We have received reports regarding this type of activity previously, and unfortunately the similarity in names can result in UK Utility being associated with calls that have not originated from our company.
That being said, we do not want to simply assume this was somebody else. We would genuinely like to investigate this properly.
If you were given the name of the person who called you, or if you have any further information regarding the calls, such as the telephone number, approximate date and time, or anything else that may help us identify the caller, we would be extremely grateful if you could provide it. If it does relate to a member of our team, it absolutely will be dealt with in the correct manner.
You are also very welcome to speak to us directly about your experience. Please call our main office on 0116 23 33 003 and we will ensure your concerns are handled with complete professionalism and taken seriously.
We completely understand why you were unhappy following the experience you have described. We would simply appreciate the opportunity to establish exactly who contacted you and, hopefully, reassure you that this was not a representative of UK Utility.

Brilliant service. Callum Harrold helped me and my small business switch energy suppliers and made the whole process completely stress free. As a small business admin tasks can become overwhelming but Callum took the stress out of switching suppliers and was so reassuring throughout the whole process, allowing me to make informed decisions whilst being patient, caring and understanding. All his calls were so helpful and he always made sure it fitted around my needs and business schedule, again which is massively helpful when running a busy business! So much praise for his support and service , we get so many spam callers and people offering they can give us the best offer but Callum truly did and was patient and understanding that I needed to ensure he wasn't a spam caller and he was genuine. Callum checked in regularly throughout the process and gave me time and space to answer any questions. Even months later he followed up to see how things were going and was keen to help me get sorted with a smart meter, another job off my very long to do list helped and supported with!

Very good service
We used James Price at UK Utility for our energy contracts for many years before we retired. He always found us the best deals, was very patient and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble.

Avoid this company they are fraudsters. They try to trick you into contracts that cannot go through and then threaten legal action when they don't complete.
The ombudsman will be in touch. I am sick of the harassment from the legal company you use to threaten customers so action has been taken

Avoid at all cost! Signed me up initially and all looked ok. After a year our business found out the contracts never went out to 2 of the utility companies even though contracts were signed. Caused a great deal of issues and would not take responsibility! 0/10 for professionalism!
