Stay away. They have something called the verification department that acts way over the top causing upset and inconvenience. I was refused the activation of a pre-paid phone over a verification, really? The representative was rude, confusing (both to my husband and I) and refused to help or clarify the situation. I offered proof of purchase, also I was the person of the information needed to be verified?, she still refused, keep repeating same thing like I was committing identity theft with a pre-paid service, I asked name to report her she refused. She was not nice and I even lost my cool. I don't recommend this company to anyone, why a verification department acting like a government agency for a pre-paid phone? My proof of purchase and me on the phone should have been enough, how do I get our money back?

The internet sometimes very slow when I am out of my home.

I can’t get ahold of customer support when my phone is off. I can’t pay my bill without service, customer support is next to impossible to get. Service is sub par. Pretty sure I can get a cheaper line through a competitor by now too

I had a 12-month 500 MB plan with Ultra Mobile for $120/year with automatic renewal set for January 25, 2026. Without my authorization, Ultra Mobile upgraded my plan to a higher tier at $46.63/month and charged me for several months.
I only discovered this when reviewing my quarterly bank statements. When I contacted customer service (as ultra will recommend below in their generic response), they agreed to restore my original plan but refused to issue a full refund, claiming it was my responsibility to monitor account changes.
Be aware: Ultra Mobile can change your plan and charge significantly more than you agreed to — without your explicit consent. Review your statements regularly if you are a customer.

this is a case of you get what you pay for. I thought I got a deal when I prepaid for a year. But they throttle your bandwidth. My hotspot is 270 KBPS. basically slow enough that instagram wont load. That sucks. so you get a one star. wish I could upload a screen capture to prove it.

The due date arrived and the payment was withdrawn but not posted until the next day or perhaps after business hours. That resulted in a very stern email. Obviously your system has some major deficiencies. It left a bad taste in my mouth and raised my hackles
