Please avoid this firm, they are useless at best. I really can’t think of a single good thing to say about them. It’s taken 3 years to get a compensation payout, despite the other party admitting l... Toon meer

Waste of time and unprofessional
I had my accident in September 2024, contacted Union Line in October 2024 and after several people looking at my claim it did not get submitted until February 2025. Why it took 4 months to submit my claim I will never know. The communication was so poor and whenever I was lucky enough to receive any communication it just seemed so rude like they didn't care about my claim at all. Now in April I receive a letter from them saying my claim has been unsuccessful and pretty much calling me a liar with my accident. This law firm is unprofessional and do not care about what you have gone through at all. 7 months of this, just so disgusting. Do not use this firm!
I had a problem at my local hospital…
I had a problem at my local hospital within a subcontractor's scanning unit. I was injured as a result and contacted my union. I was then put in contact with Meya Phiri at Union Line. She guided me through the process and helped to advise and negotiate a better outcome.
I was impressed by her professional but sympathetic approach, and when business was concluded, she added a little bit of humour to lighten the mood.
I won't rush to use her expertise again but would certainly recommend her if needed.
Incompetent.
After being dismissed for supporting a colleague with mental health problems, the Unionline solicitor wrote to me saying they would not support me as I had not worked there for a year. (I had recieved a ten year service award the month before!) I was also told that the decision was made without two crucial documents being provided. At no time did I communicate directly with the solicitor. After raising the issues with Unionline six months ago I still have had no contact with them.
Just awful
Don’t bother. The claim will be dealt with unprofessionally and not to a high standard for what is best for you. They simply want the file closed as soon as possible even if that means pretending a bad offer is a good one for you so as to get the file closed and marked as a win. This also means that you lose out on thousands of pounds on a settlement because they don’t know how to properly work out the correct compensation rates and how to deal with third parties when negotiating. The other parties must rub their hands and dance around their office when they see these are acting for the claim. Go somewhere who knows the law, give these a miss.
Zero stars if possible.
Despite having medically diagnosed hearing loss from work and employer admitting fault my case was refused.
Only went with UnionLine as I was referred by the union. Would not advise anybody to go this route. Never once spoke to a solicitor about the case despite having a folder of information.
seems to be a running trend with them
seems to be a running trend with them. Have been advised by 2 different solicitors that i have a case against a manufacturer, but to discuss it with the union as im a member.
Legal had to speak to a supervisor, who then advised her that they cannot take case as there has to be a person "injured" (ME!) and a person they can go after for damages (THE PEOPLE WHO MADE IT!)
and apparently they dont have that in my case.......will go back to original slicitors and get case opened
The Solicitor that was allocated to me…
The Solicitor that was allocated to me for my injury claim in the first instance was Meya Phiri. Now How does one start to describe her determination, drive and due diligence for her clients.
Words escape me on how knowledgable, professional and dedicated to compete client satisfaction. Her attention to detail is second to none, yet her compassion and understanding of what you have experienced through injuries sustained is nothing but exemplary.
Her dedication to fight for the maximum possible resolution and also to break everything down to the smallest of details, and some of which you wouldn’t even think of being part of the process.
Meya Phiri is nothing but Outstanding in her field. And I’m glad to have her as my solicitor dealing with all my cases.
I thank you for all your support and dedication, most of all your determination to fight to the very last breath on the matter at hand.

Had a accident at work which was there…
Had a accident at work which was there fault rang union line up they took the bear minimum details and said ring for more details, which never happened
I rang them to find out what was going on and told by rude member of staff they were not going to take it on
I asked to speak to a supervisor and got told that won’t be ringing me back
The call handler was so rude with chip on there shoulder
I would not trust them or use them ever again they are a joke
I was involved in a car collision in…
I was involved in a car collision in February and called the union. My Solicitor Meya was absolutely phenomenal. If I could have awarded 10 stars I would have. Meya is extremely professional and very easy to talk to too. And every time I needed her she was always available. Thank you Meya for everything
One star is one too many !!!

Wish I had read these reviews while I was going through years of an injury claim battle.
At best incompetent, but for me they were complicit in railroading my injury claim, they did everything in their power to stop me going to court, which was the main objective for my case.
I had reported ( all documented) vehicle and machinery failings on full fleet of vehicles being unfit in their current state, after three years of this and many many issues! I sustained a back injury because of same reason.
Unionline after 3 years of running me around only agreed to allowing me to take it to court because I asked for all my file and documentation, only to be offered a paltry settlement and when I refused and told them I want to go to court was told categorically if the judge offers less that gmb would not pick up the tab and it could cost me my home.
I had stuck to my guns refusing to be ignored making complaints about the way my case was being handled.
Now I have been emailing a telephoning since then for my file so I can make a formal complaint and surprise surprise no reply
Avoid at all cost
Disgusting service
Disgusting service, staff rude (advisor Keeley) and patronising. Don't fight your case just palm you off, dismissive 3 years on after RTA and still no further on, oh tell a lie they've asked if I need a psychologist for the issues sustained from accident (yes 3years post accident and only just been asked)
Avoid at all costs these are useless.
Where to start 🤔 19 months of sending emails to a privately owned company that allows the staff members to get asulted by service users they don't get a response so unionline drag their feet numerous case handlers and nothing wish I had read trust pilot reviews and found a different law firm that knows what they are doing from the start.
I know that GMB will say to use unionline but it's just a waste of your time they send you a text message to say still awaiting a response every couple of months if that you phone the office and they palm you off with legal jargon but will say they are making progress and give reassurance but they don't want to work for it they want easy money or you too do most of the research for them it's beyond a joke the amount of information they can't find and 2 minutes on Google and I send them everything they needed.
Unionline should be union useless.
Avoid at all costs worth getting a different firm from the start.
Useless
I called Unionline to get advise upon suggestion given to me by my union.
Initially, I was caller number 3 and there was an estimate waiting time of 1min.
The time kept increasing to 3min, 5 min and then all the way to 10 min despite I had already been on hold for 17 min.
At some point, a pre-recorded voice told me that they were busy and that I should call another time from Mon-Fri between 8am and 6pm.
Guess what? It's friday and its 4pm and they wasted 20min of my time.
USELESS
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE
Employees simply haven't a clue what they are doing. They do not run cases in the client's best interest. it seems to be the easiest option so they have less work which i can only assume is because they are not qualified solicitors and do not have the experience needed for high cost cases, mostly seem to be paralegals or Legal assistants as they like to call them now and god forbid you should raise a concern as they then become aggressive and flippant in their responses as if they would rather you seek alternative solicitors so the bad feedback doesn't get to their employers. Would not recommend and would not use again. I would rather pay the 25% to a reputable company who is qualified in this field of work and know what they are doing and want the best for their client's outcomes. I would have transferred my case if it had not gone too far.
Injury claim likely to be cancelled by their mistakes.
Having had a injury claim ongoing for the last 4 1/2 years I have just had confirmation of a date to determine who is responsible for my severe injuries.
There is a big massive problem though, unionline and trade union legal LLP have made several glowing procedural errors in the court communication where the claim is likely to be struck out (their words) so I may need to get another solicitor to claim professional negligence and hopefully help me in the future.
thanks Unionline/Trade union legal LLP for making my life hell and my mental health so poor I've been thinking of ending my life.
Do yourself a favour and find your own…
Do yourself a favour and find your own solicitor. Don't go with the unionline. Horrendous.
Really poor service
Really poor service. I am a union member and although I sent sufficient evidence of disgusting treatment from an employer, they won't help me as they said at best it's low value, so my treatment was low value? I am low value? My experiences were low value? This is my second bad experience with Unionline who also failed to assist me with poor the substandard medical care my father received prior to his unexpected death. Such a disappointing service, I think GMB should audit if they are worthy of functioning. I'm sure that if I was of a different ethnicity, they would be all over my case, but I'm not and as such they are not interested. Right now, they disgust me.

Very upsetting experience dealing with this company , as if I wasn’t going through enough . Treated me awfully and spoke to me in a disgusting manner and don’t seem to know what they are doing
DO NOT USE THESE MORONS
DO NOT USE THESE MORONS
They are a bunch of teenagers in a call centre who have no knowledge of driving, the Highway Code or the law.
They randomly = 2 monthly intervals call from No Caller ID numbers, do not reply to emails this includes their COMPLAINTS department who just send an acknowledgement then nothing.
18 months I’ve wasted on a very simple RTC been told on 3 different occasions they are taking it to court then last call , third person involved says it’s only my word against theirs WOW , Ombudsman next hopefully they will reply to my email
Zero help,. just stress from people who has lack of knowledge
The Unionline does not care about about you or your case or your health. They have only one aim, to close it whatever is the outcome. They perfectly feels ok with lies. My torture started with them when I was naive and I thought they will help with my personal injury claim. They sent me an ortopedic expert who applied by Premex same zero quality organisation (just read the feedbacks) So, when this ortopedic expert was done with his zero quality of exams and consultation, I sent two emails within a few minutes as a health care worker and told the Unionline this doctor absolutely does not follow the procedure that he must including questions and all 20mins seemed unreal. I have recorded evidence a to prove I told this man will not be able to provide professional summary about my health, injury and basically about my life changes. What happened? I asked Unionline to get a different doctor but the solicitor (that was the second solicitor within a year who handled the case) said we need to wait the doctor opinion after we will see... Also she said if he make factual mistakes he will needs to change it. So, his 'opinion' came out full with mistakes I found around 19problems. This doctor was not bothering to put into my summary that not happened with me he put lies, untrue and untold things on paper. He probably mixed mine with someone else's case in that poor quality of work that he provided. He put opposite side to injured however not possible to find in may medical history to even mentioned or put treatment CBT that I having that time and other insane things... Recorded calls to Unionline prove I told them these things are not mine. They said first the doctor need to change the factual mistakes so I collected all and the solicitor sent it to correction. The doctor changed nothing,he sticked to his lies. I told the Unionline I want a real doctor who does real exams and asking real question and probably read my recorded medical history and will not put someone else's medical history on my summary. I told I will pay for it. They refused it however I told ,ten times these are lies. They said no problems with this report however they also noticed the mistakes
Premex emailed me they can provide a doctor if I will pay for it, that is how Unionline instructed them, but the Unionline denied this. Professional liars well done me. The top of it when A.B. who said 'I following this case since the start ' but when the second solicitor told me I don't need psychologist to see and she said 'this is will not effect the case' so this is came up twice. So someone who cannot walk, sleep, drive or do any activities for 1.5-2 years who lost the ability to do everyday sports however he is a trainer and his life is the sport that person does not need mental health support. I can tell you there is no phone call recorded when I could talk about my daily difficulties without crying. Fact I was depressed and I had suicide thoughts but this professional team who followed my case advise was over 1.5years to not visit a psychologist. This is not just something that a professional team must offer as help and support first when you cannot talk about your life that you lost that would be the first thing to visit a psychologist. Above this everyone knows your claim compensation absolutely influenced on that fact how the injury effects your life and your physical and mental health. THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY IGNORED BY UNIONLINE. The people who said/lied we followed my case they pretended did not hear about the solicitor refused this request at least twice regarding the psychologist. Other way it shows your health doesn't matter and also the amount of your compensation which could be much more increased on this fact, also does not care the Unionline. Earlier they said the doctor must change the factual mistakes after they did not care how may lies, untold ,untrue facts are in the summary. When I asked what if we lose this case based on the insane amount of mistakes? Because the other side clearly aware which things are not happened with me ,they have footage too. I asked what they will do if we lose it based on the lies and mistakes that contains the summary - I got zero answer. I think the same liar who said earlier she followed my case A.B. said 'How could you lose it' something similar. So, this is the professional answer if you asking the organisation who does not support you to get the truth, does not support you to stay alive during your daily physical and mental health suffer who employees people with this knowledge and who once said yes those mistakes need to be changed and after denied that. After this they threaten you and tells you, must use the doctor opinion which absolutely garbage full with lies. This is the Unionline, zero help, zero guarantee after they want to support a fake opinion. This will goes to public.
