The cottage we stayed in we had visited before so we knew what we were getting. It is home from home providing everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It is in a great location and no doubt we will stay there again.

Pulling up outside of Lemara in Port Appin, our hearts sank. The grounds are unkempt and the outside of the property requires maintenance to say the least. Both my husband and I hoped that things would improve once inside. Sadly this was not the case. The entrance (which is described as a sun room) is nothing but a glorified entrance porch, where there is seating for 3 people. This area came with its very own cobweb and spider hanging above the seating. The tv is mounted so high on the wall that you end up with neck pain trying to watch it. The seating in the open plan living area is in fact 2 seats, so should we have invited our 2 friends there would have been insufficient seats for us all. The accommodation is in fact a ground floor flat! This is not clearly stated in the advert had it been we would certainly not have booked it! The property is furnished to a reasonable standard but was not thoroughly cleaned in our opinion. There is a gap under the step in the kitchen area, which leads out of the back door where debris has gathered. Corners and skirting had not been cleaned thoroughly. Nor had the shower tray. Laminate flooring at the side of the bed (in the room with the bath) is poorly fitted and moves when stood on. In addition the steps down into this bedroom are a hazard, I nearly broke my ankle falling off them. No power point near the dressing table area. Having used unique cottages many times in the past, we were struggling to find the standard of accommodation that your company usually offers. We are extremely disappointed with the standard of accommodation this time around and it is doubtful we will stay more than a couple of days as there is very little comfort. It is also doubtful whether we would use unique cottages again.

It was our stay at Gardners Cottage, Old Melrose and we again loved it. The cottage is set in a beautiful private estate with lots of walks local or around Melrose. It’s well maintained, immaculate and has everything you need.

The owners are welcoming and provide help and advice if needed. A fabulous welcome pack with local produce and homemade brownies was a nice touch.

….. same time next year? Absolutely!

The house was as described and all went smoothly.

This is a magnificent property, really well appointed and beautifully maintained. Would be 5* but the underfloor heating broke on second day which meant with outside temperature dropping it wasn't as comfortable. Sheena worked really hard to get plumber and brought some extra heaters which helped.
Even so we had a great time there walking , cycling, and paddle boarding and would happily stay there again.

Lovely cottage and stay in Scotland. After 2 weeks I had heard nothing on the deposit refund so I called them. Was told that "Due to an upgrade in card provider authentication, we are currently unable to refund your housekeeping deposit to your debit or credit card (if you have paid by an alternative method you will not be affected)." - and that an email would be sent out asking if I wished for a cheque or a bank transfer. The lady I spoke to sent out the email straight away....I wonder how long I would have waited for that email if I hadn't called? Have to wait and see if they manage to transfer the funds within the advised 2-3 working days now! Update I requested a bank transfer a week ago .......and today I received a cheque!!!

A lovely, spacious house with wonderful views across Loch Linnhe to the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The house was very clean and warm.

The Net Store is gorgeous property in a lovely location. The property has everything you need and more to enjoy your holiday. The welcome gifts and beautiful flowers were a lovely touch and there’s a generous supply of wood for the easy to operate log burner. We had a fabulous week and will definitely return.

We had a fabulous holiday, Nick and Lindsay very welcoming and left treats for us in the studio cottage. It was in a great place to travel and explore beautiful Scotland.

The holiday home was superb-the comfort and attention to detail that the owners had given to the accommodation was second to none .Waking each morning to the outstanding views and having breakfast looking at the beautiful vista was very special.We were sad to leave .

I have used Unique Cottages for several years. Each booking has been easy, stress-free and non-complicated. The website is easy to use. Payments are simple and confirmation is received quickly. Each cottage has been as described. The office staff, when contacted by phone, have been pleasant and helpful. Prices are appropriate and any housekeeping deposits are refunded on time.

Loch Awe boathouse was everything and some, first class accommodation magnificent setting nice toys to explore the loch went away to relax and we certainly achieved that even with inclement weather 😂

We booked a beautiful hideaway in the Scottish Highlands through Unique Cottages in 2020. Because of the Pandemic we had to postpone our visit until 2021.
Unique Cottages liaised closely with us to facilitate alternative dates with the owner, and even provided a refund to cover the reduced rent for a ‘more off season week’.
We have dealt with many holiday home letting agents, and would rate this company very highly.

We have just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday at The Folly at Old Melrose. A lovely cottage in an idyllic location. The owners William and Frankie were very welcoming. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise.
As a regular customer of Unique Cottages, once again we found this to be a very pleasurable experience.
