I like the visual learning aspect
I like the visual learning aspect. Questions are explained fairly well. Cons would be the online site is clunky, it doesn't track accurate progress when reviewing lectures and working through questions. The "ask Joey" box doesn't work so that should be removed. Customer service isn't the greatest, I'm still waiting on a question I've asked twice now. Limited amount of mcq and sims unlike other cpa study prep programs.

I recently used Universal CPA Review for my CPA exam prep. Overall, I found it to be a solid resource. The study videos were one of the standout features for me. They were short, clear, and easy to understand, which made it easy to stay engaged and absorb key concepts. They also manage to inject humor to keep you going. They were especially helpful in areas like FAR, Auditing, and TCP, where I’d previously been struggling. Their materials helped me push past the barriers I had in these areas. I would suggest signing up for bootcamps in areas that you may have greater difficulty. I used Universal CPA Review in conjuction with Surgent and Superfast CPA. My instructor was wonderful and their Student Success Admin Corinne was top notch as well. Thanks for helping me pass all four exams. I am grateful.

LMS doesn't keep track of watched videos, need to keep track manually on note pad.
I must add content is amazing, more easy to understand because of step by step analysis of concept.

I have been using Universal CPA Review now for a couple weeks. I wish this was around during my undergrad, I would've sat for the CPA exam sooner. The video lessons and the practice tests are fantastic - they explain concepts if you answer the MCQ's wrong which helps you understand the why behind the correct answers and provides you with the correct line of thinking to navigate you to the correct answers. Easy to navigate and simple videos
Easy to navigate and simple videos. Passed first exam, REG, on first try. Failed first attempt at TCP and waiting for results of second try. Currently studying AUD.
I would say you pay for what you get. It’s a less expensive program versus competitors, but technology could be improved while still delivering value.

Concept Retention & Effect on University Studies
Universal CPA has been a huge help so far! I feel like I'm making process with my studies--actually retaining what I'm learning instead of memorizing. All of the concepts are simplified while not losing out on valuable information. As a full-time university student as well, I have been using Universal CPA to study instead of my course material offered by my professors, and it has helped exponentially for me to understand and execute the concepts.

It’s been a rough few months facing the biggest ordeal of my life. At times, I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I believe everything happens for a reason. They make topics that are difficult, easy to understand. Along with the course, the boot camps are amazing. They are topic driven intense reviews given by an outstanding instructor. (Dexter). So far, I really like the content, videos, questions, and explanations. It’s way better than GLEIM’s confusing book, which overcomplicates everything for no reason. The material here is easy to digest, and you actually understand the logic behind how everything is taught.
That said, the interface feels a little clunky, especially after finishing a set of multiple-choice questions. Instead of being able to continue directly, you have to click back to the dashboard, then go into Chapter 1, Module 1 again. It would be much smoother if there were an option to simply “keep going” from the same question set.
Finally, an iPhone app would be a great addition, so the multiple-choice questions are always accessible on the go.
