Now, the bad, to me anyway:
Tried using their highly touted “buy-back” policy recently with gold I purchased and wanted to sell back to them due to a run up in price.
By the time they got back to me, gold had dropped about $700/oz, so I didn’t feel like selling anymore. Not much of a buy back policy. Actually a joke.
I use their sister company TXBD to hold some of my investment coins and bullion and if I had the gold here at home, I could have gotten my price from a local dealer. Buyer beware concerning their buy back policy. It took them 10 days to 2 weeks to get back to me after my initial buy back request. Makes me think they didn’t want to buy it back at the higher price, so they delayed until gold came down quite a bit. Not a good way to treat someone who’s done a lot of business with you.
I also find their pricing to be much higher than competing companies, so while I do use USGB for certain investment grade coins once in a while, for the above reasons, I have moved ALL of my bullion (all metals)buys to other suppliers and almost 95% of my investment grade coins business elsewhere as well. They charge too much for the same coin products available much cheaper elsewhere. Same coins, same PF70 grade, PCGS/NGC certified, and signed, yet consistently 20+% more $$ from USGB. Why?
Just one man’s opinion, YMMV.

I was told I could pay in 2 payments then when the first payment was due it was not taken I then called and found that deal was not allowed but the coin was still available at full price. This is the second time this type of “deal”has happened in the past year. After this I will expect a deal made is a deal done.

Dealing with Anthony is educational. The only thing i don't like is 2-3 weeks to get product after you run my card.

Sales agent was knowledgeable and understanding. He worked with me to maximize my order within my budget. My order was prepared quickly and appropriately packaged. Shipper was slow to acknowledge receipt of package at local office.

Competent personnel who seem to care about customers
