Nice watches, poor customer service
To anyone considering Vaer for your next purchase, reconsider.
Their watches appear to be decent quality and value for the money. But their customer service is terrible.
Long ship times on items they claim are in stock. Takes 1-2 DAYS for them to reply to emails, which tells me that they are woefully understaffed.
I placed an order for a watch they claimed was in stock, and it took a full week to create a shipping label.
I have been emailing them for days saying I needed it by tomorrow, as I am leaving the country for a week and a half, and didn't want it arriving and sitting on my porch outdoors during that time.
They couldn't tell me when it was going to ship, and offered to cancel my order for a full refund. I replied within 5 minutes, asking them to please cancel the order as it would not arrive in time with all of their delays.
No response, and today I get a notice that it is shipped(being picked up today) and delivered while I am out of the country and unable to sign for the package.
If business is so good that they are this backed up on shipping and responses to customer inquiries, then they are busy enough to justify a few folks to help keep up with demand and deliver on their promise of customer service that their website claims.
Or, maybe there are other issues at work and business isn't as good as it seems?
Either way, it doesn't bode well for the overall customer experience in the short, or long term.
To Vaer, maybe spend less money on social media advertising and more on proper staffing and internal processes?
If you want to see how customer service is done properly, look to a US based brand like LIV Watches.
Vaer has a nice website that says all the right things, but when you deal with them, you get the feeling that this is a business run by the two founders out of their living room.
