My 5th trip with Vagabond (Wild atlantic way) was amazing as usual:genuine experiences,unforgettable landscapes inspiring insider stories,local traditional culture folklore,wonderfull people making every single day both enriching and entertaining.The Vagaguides are amazing they effortlessly bring the group together and are full of knowledge and genuingly caring.The accomodations are full of caracter and charme, we had 2 of them as 2nightsstays, each day perfectly organized while still allowing enough free time to explore indepently or with your new friends. You'll see also little gem's not reachable for big coaches, so if you look for more than just a holyday choose Vagabond,you'll not regret it!

My sister and I have just completed the 11day Discover Ireland tour which covered both Northern Ireland and the republic. Of Ireland . Loved it . Tom , our tour leader and driver did a stellar job handling 12 Americans and us two Aussies with humor and lots of stories filled with facts (& some good ol’ Irish tales). Great accommodation throughout, covered all our bucket list items as well as spending time with a sheep farmer & his very well trained dogs. Amazing. We stopped at local places and heard stories about why Ireland is unique and their amazing ability to survive through various “troubled times”. Some of the facts were very sobering and sad but out of it comes an appreciation for the resilience of the Irish. Down to earth . Loved the entire trip and if you’re lucky enough to get Tom as your leader be sure to give him a hard time 🤣😂

Highly recommend Vagabond & Driftwood Tours of Ireland. Just returned from the 7 day Driftwood Treasure Ireland tour and loved everything about it. Our Guide and driver, Sarah, made sure everyone was having a great time. Since it was a 16 person vehicle, we were able to go to boutique hotels and experience sites that don't accommodate larger bus groups. We learned about the history, people and music of Ireland from Sarah, stayed in beautiful accommodations and enjoyed great food and music. The company stays in touch with you from the time you book the trip until you end it. You are well prepared before you arrive for what to bring and not bring which was extremely helpful. I would definitely book with Vagabond for our next Ireland trip.

They might be great if you don’t mind upsetting the locals, but the driver was totally inconsiderate. Pulled up on a fuel station forecourt. Taking up all the pumps on that side. Then rather than paying and pulling forward. Got himself an ice cream and stood talking to his passengers who had also piled out and were doing the same. Completely oblivious to the queue forming. He’s probably confused by the hand gestures his passengers said they were getting as he finally drove off. So if you don’t mind upsetting the locals. They’re probably a great company

No hassle, great guide, easy-going, relaxing and active at the same time, “no-drama-lama” fellow travelers/new friends :)

Our tour (from 27 April to 3rd May), led by Paddy Fahy, was outstanding from start to finish! Paddy was a great communicator, very knowledgeable about Irish history, flora and fauna, topography - almost everything! He recounted family stories that brought the history of the country to life. He listened to his group and was very flexible in making a few detours to accommodate the interests of our group.
Most of the hotels in which we stayed were very comfortable and some were quite quaint. The food was very good across the board and the meals at the Gougane Barra Hotel (ESPECIALLY THE DINNER!) were world class. Helped with wonderful weather, all of the sites, the hikes and visits to the historical sites were very interesting and meaningful. The several hikes and the two activities (horseback riding and biking) WERE CHALLENGING BUT ULTIMATELY VERY SATISFYING for a couple of 68 year-olds!

This was an amazing adventure. Brian was extremely helpful. He is so knowledgable and very accommodating. He made sure we had the best tour ever. I saw so many places and experienced so much I can’t wait to share with my friends. Brian has set the bar so high I don’t know if anyone will be able to make another tour as enjoyable and informative as he did. Take the tour!!!!!!

My husband and I enjoyed the 6 day Southern tour last October. We liked being part of a smaller tour group. Our guide was knowledgeable and charming. We were very pleased with the accommodations, meals, and experiences. We certainly recommend touring with this company.

Our tour guide LISA was amazing. Great sense of humor and a wonderful blend of history and fun!! I would 100% recommend touring with Vagabond it was Grand :)

My first trip to Ireland will be a cherished memory for the rest of my life because of my Vagabond experience. I was on the eight day wild Rover with Vaga-guide Jasper. Our guides knowledge of the country was inspiring as our tour was unique and unlike anything I’ve ever been on before. We had our eight day itinerary, but it honestly felt like Jasper made it such a personalized experience for our small group of 14 people. He always checked in on us! I was on the tour with my sister, but the other people that were on the tour were from three other family groups. By the end of it, we felt like family. I love The off the beaten path hikes, E-bike ride, kayaking in Dingle Bay, Skellig Islands boat tour, sheepdog demo, historical landmarks (I loved Aughnanure Castle), the pubs (music and a pint of Guinness almost daily). Our hotel (and castle) accommodations were amazing with breakfasts every morning. I’m writing this review almost 6 months later and I think about this trip everyday due to Vagabond being an amazing tour company!!

Everything was wonderful, in fact, I would go back again soon! I loved most the variety of castles, ruins, manor houses, stone circles, waterfalls etc etc etc. Our guide/driver even took us to places nearby that weren’t even on the tour agenda.
Best investment in my enjoyment of Ireland…Trip of a Lifetime 🍀

Great tour. I would have enjoyed some more time for exploring shops and towns instead of so many castles. Not much time allotted for exploring towns. Very beautiful views. Loved our tour, fellow bus mates and guide.

The tour guides and the small group size really make the experience special. The visit to the working sheep farm and Molly Galivans were very memorable. I enjoyed the village accommodations and time to mix with the locals. I have a much better understanding of the Irish people and their history.

Hotels were great, van was very comfy, but mostly, we had an amazing group and the best ever tour guide (Brendan)!

This is a very late response to a request to rate my trip in September 2024! It was my 1st trip to Ireland and 1st with Vagabond for a GREAT experience! I enjoyed both the small van with "just the right number of passengers" and the exceptional guide who was both knowledgeable and fun! When I am ready to travel again I will for sure look into all the other trips Vagabond offers!

Tour staff from the initial query, through booking, and especially our tour guide were all efficient, friendly, attentive to client individual needs while remaining flexible and professional throughout. The itinerary included a wealth of variety for accommodations as well as a range of individual options allowing us to personalize activities at some select destinations.

The organization of the whole experience was spot on.

Our Vagabond guide Jason was fantastic! He has a wonderful sense of humor and speaks very well to his audience. I was truly impressed with his knowledge of all the locations that we visited. Prior to each location he would give use a little background on what to expect. Once at the location he would give us a more in-depth overview of the location and exactly what to expect. Before the end of each day Jason made sure we were given a quick overview of what to expect the next day. By the second or third day he had all on the trip feeling like a family!

Our guide Dave was awesome plus the itinerary and sites were great
