I love working with Marlin! She is a wonderful teacher with a great sense of humor. Learning to speak a new language can feel vulnerable and difficult, but Marlin always makes me feel comfortable.

Verbalicity is - by far - the best online language learning program I've experienced. I've tried Rosetta Stone, Dual Lingo, and other apps/platforms such as YouTube. Each was effective in its own way, especially YouTube as you can pause, rewind, post questions, et cetera. But, Verbalicity easily leads the pack. It's convenient, personal, structured and you can really develop a relationship with your instructor.

One critical and differentiating component, is the emphasis on understanding the Spanish language. As a novice/sub-novice speaker, there's a tendency to focus on the speaking aspect. A huge fraction of the battle is listening and reading comprehension. My instructor does an amazing job of placing a balanced focus on each component.

That being said, my experience with Verbalicity is easily a 5 star experience. If you're on the fence, hop off and give it a try... you will not regret it.

I love learning with my instructor at Verbalicity. She is very patient and encourages me. She is especially helping me with pronunciation. I do not feel any stress during the lessons. I enjoy learning and have found the instructor not only flexible and accommodating but is able to communicate well in English. I highly recommend Verbalicity.

I love independent study, and the flexibility to do it on my schedule is fantastic. I appreciate that the lessons are one-on-one, and tailored specifically toward my needs. Being able to pause and ask a question is extremely helpful.

I am connecting well with my teacher, and every lesson is a major confidence boost because at the end of it, I’m like, “Wow, did I just speak and listen in Spanish for an entire hour?” Before I started, I didn’t realize I could do that. :)

My teacher’s accent is easy for me to understand, she speaks my target dialect clearly and at a conversational pace that’s easy to follow. The resources she sends me for homework are extremely helpful and informative.

Brilliant! Just brilliant. This is a very professional, structured learning system. My teacher is Carolina and every lesson is prepared in advance which has meant that every lesson flows on from the last. It has made it easy to build the knowledge rather than be overwhelmed. I wasn't sure how easy it would be over Skype with the accent, but my teacher types through Skype when difficult words come up so that I can visually see them as well. I can choose when I want my next lesson each week, I don't have to stick to a strict schedule - we decide at the end of each lesson with no min or max timeframes. Super flexible, loving it. Highly recommend Carolina she is patient and friendly and let's you have a good go.

So far, I am loving Verbalicity! Carolina is so wonderful. She’s patient and really helping me improve with my Spanish. It has only been a few weeks and I already feel more confident.

Lucrecia has been great. Very patient with me. She is organized, her lesson plan makes sense to me, and I feel like I’m making progress. She is very friendly, prompt, and quick to smile. Very pleased!

I've been learning Spanish from various sources for the past 4 months. I've had 3 classes thus far with Julia and so far they have helped me learn more Spanish than in those months combined. Julia is a keen instructor.

Carolina has been great! We are just getting started but I am really enjoying working with her!

I have been taking Spanish lessons through Verbalicity for just under a year. I love that you can schedule as you see fit. I am an avid traveler and when I'm home, I schedule a weekly session. For me, this allows me to study and practice what I learned the previous week in between sessions. The lessons are well structured and are a great mix of conversation, vocabulary, grammatic structure, and writing. I also like that there is a book that is used which creates intention and organization. I am extremely please with Verbalicity!

I feel I will learn a great deal from Lucrecia. I'm very comfortable with the one-on-one lesson, and she puts a nervous speaker at ease. In just 2 lessons I've learned a ton!

The lesson is well rounded; it has conversation, grammar, pronunciation, writing, and comprehension. Paolo, my instructor, is excellent at challenging me, but also keeping progressing without getting lost. I feel like this is going to be the final time I have to attempt to learn Spanish!

I've had 3 sessions with my tutor, Julia so far and she is wonderful. Very engaging and customizing the lessons around how i learn best, which is by writing and reading. It's a perfect amount of work outside of my classes which I have twice a week. I would definitely recommend. :)

Great teacher (Marilin) and an easy to use website!

My son really enjoy learning Spanish with his tutor Marlin. She's so patient and engaging. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn Spanish!

I really enjoyed taking lessons with Marlin through Verbalicity. The textbook she sent me was very helpful, and the homework was useful without being overwhelming. I would have liked to have more say over the teacher I was assigned, even though Marlin was great, and the Skype connection was not always reliable, but overall Verbalicity is a great service and I would absolutely recommend it.
