Good tasting smoothies, bad parts and warranty
I have mixed feelings about my Vacublend from Versapers. I really like the intense taste of the vacuum blended smoothies, but I'm not a big fan of the quality of the small parts and the customer service / warranty.
The lid of the container already broke twice (different parts) in less than 2 years during the vacuum process and the blue backflow prevention cap also teared up 3 times now. Customer support says I'm not careful enough.
Well.. After 2 teared caps, I've gotten much more careful on how firm I put the cap on the inside of the lid. It still teared. They say they never heard this problem before, I should be more careful and this
is not covered by the warranty.
The screw thread (where you put to cap on) of the second lid just kinda fell off at some point, which is something I don't even use (screw the cap on and off) that often anymore, I just let the cap on the screw thread. They say they never heard this problem before, I should be more careful and this
is not covered by the warranty.
Really? Because I've never had similar experiences with other blenders and electronics, and I take good care of my stuff. How well you're asking? Well.. I'm 35 years old and my current phone is the 4th I've ever owned, my laptop is 8 years old and still looks perfect and works like a charm. I've had my previous blender for 6.5 years without any issues.
And if it really comes down to the nanometer on how tight I screw a cap on the inside of the lid, this should be explicitly on the box / manual, because it seems vital information in my opinion.
