We’re sorry for the frustration caused by this experience.
Your order was placed at 6pm and dispatched the following day. Unfortunately, the delivery address provided at checkout was incomplete, which meant Royal Mail was unable to deliver the parcel.
Once a parcel has been dispatched, Royal Mail does not allow us to amend the delivery address, even if an omission or error is identified. We therefore had to arrange for the order to be returned before we could resend it to the corrected address.
We appreciate that this was inconvenient, and we did dispatch your dog food promptly once the correct address was available. We’re sorry that the delivery updates also caused confusion and frustration.

False delivery promises, ruined temperature-sensitive medicine, zero accountability
I ordered Solensia - a temperature-sensitive cat medication requiring 2°C–8°C storage - from VetMedi. Their product page explicitly promised dispatch via "Royal Mail Special Delivery pre-1pm service" (I have screenshot evidence of this), for which I paid a £12.99 shipping fee. Relying on this pre-1pm commitment, I arranged to be home during the day. However, Royal Mail did not attempt delivery until 19:28, by which time I was not home to receive the delivery. When the parcel finally arrived the following day, the internal temperature measured 19.3°C - completely spoiling the medicine. When I contacted customer service, they refused a refund or replacement, falsely blaming me for the missed evening delivery and claiming they do not guarantee delivery times (despite me providing screenshot evidence of their website at the time the order was placed). Shortly after my complaint, they updated their website copy to remove the "pre-1pm" promise. Failing to use the advertised delivery service caused a total break in the cold chain, rendering expensive medicine useless. Very disappointing service and a total refusal to take responsibility under consumer rights law.

We use Royal Mail Special Delivery, which aims to deliver before 1pm; however, this service does not guarantee delivery by a specific time. We can guarantee the delivery date selected, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a particular delivery time. Tracking information, including an estimated delivery window, is provided on the day of delivery to help customers plan accordingly.
We appreciate that you were expecting an earlier delivery and are sorry for the inconvenience caused when the parcel arrived later than anticipated. However, where a delivery is missed because the recipient is unavailable, we are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or replacement for medication subsequently reported as having been stored outside the required temperature range.
We take the handling and delivery of temperature-sensitive medication seriously and are sorry that this experience has not met your expectations.
