Excellent communication! Great products. They made a custom pad for my ICD due to my martial arts training. I was in need of a pad that covered the majority of my upper left chest and shoulder region. They knocked it right out of the park!

Just received, and soft feel shirt fits perfectly with pocket positioned exactly right . Protection for pacemaker couldn’t be better for all activities.
Even tried sleeping with it on as have not been able to sleep on my left side since pacemaker was fitted . Much better sleeping pattern!

I have a pacemaker on my left and I bought 6 shirts and a shield 5 years ago in June 2018 from Vital Beat. September 2022 while paragliding in Chamonix,I did a Superman take off impression running down a stoney grassy bowl at a height 2050 metres, when the wind changed direction coming from behind. I simultaneously hit several parts of my body, face & hands on the unforgiving ground. I felt my protective shield roll over a stone rather than my pacemaker being bashed by it. I was bruised on my knees, abdomen, hands and face and also damaged my shoulder as it snagged on the ground with the rough terrain. So what was not damaged was my pacemaker.

5 years later I have had a melanoma removed above the old site of my pacemaker. My new pacemaker is now switched to my right side. I contacted Vital Beat to say I needed two shields, one to protect the skin graft and one for the new pacemaker. They explained I could also have the shields repositioned to suit my needs (they are now inverted). The new set of six sports shirts are a stretch fabric and the pockets for the shields, custom sewn for me, based on the measurements vital beat requested from me.

Really happy with new shirts and the fitting of the shields. April 2023.

I ordered the vitalbeat last minute for a ski holiday as I thought I would feel vulnerable on the slopes and could do with a little extra protection around my pacemaker. It was despatched immediately and received extremely quickly and well packaged.

The vitalbeat and vest was comfortable to wear and felt it gave me the added protection I was looking for.

As it happens I only wore the vitalbeat for 1.1/2 days as I was involved in a ski accident which stopped me skiing for the remainder of the holiday!

Ordering was easy. The pacemaker protector and shirts are good quality. This was the only pacemaker protector that I found.

We ordered this shirt for my son who just transitioned from a pacer in his abdomen to one below his collar bone. He plays baseball for his 8th grade team and requires protection to play, and your shirt was exactly what we were looking for.

Even to the United States, shipping took less than a week, which was beneficial because he needed it to be allowed to practice the following week.

Sizing seems in line with regular clothing.

Would probably recommend a second shirt if it’s something you’re wearing on a regular basis unless you enjoy nightly washings-an oversight on my part.

Overall very happy with the shirt and will purchase again in the future.

It's a great idea... but the price is a rip off and they seem to be hoping that you won't do your homework and find products like Demon United, Demon D3O Chest Plate.

Which only costs $75 Canadian dollars, for full chest protection with a D3O pad, instead of the Vital Beat, which is maybe a quarter of the size, for $300 Canadian dollars.

Hopefully this helps others not make the same costly mistake as I did.

Vital beat were easy and efficient to deal with. Instructions for getting the correct size were clear. Payment was easy. Delivery was timely (to New Zealand). The shirt is high quality and fits well. The shield covers my pacemaker and will protect it while I am wearing a heavy backpack.

Works as advertised. Top quality and worth the investment. Could actually be marketed to broader segment of users, if you consider that even sedentary pacemaker patients use seatbelts and risk pacemaker related injuries in auto accidents!

Still having to come to terms with having an ICD. The protector has given me the confidence to enjoy the snowy and icy conditions of Squamish.
The sizing was spot on, and the tee shirt comfortably to wear, well fitting, washes well, and is odourless if worn for days without washing. Delivered in a timely manner and on opening the box, the little personal note was lovely.
Expensive yes, would I recommend yes, would I purchase again yes.
