Misleading Policies and Poor Service — Be Warned

I bought the Scylla x CurrieGOAT chain from Vitaly and was told by the store staff that I could return or exchange it within 30 days. The chain failed on the first try — yet Vitaly refused a refund and claimed they “don’t offer refunds under any circumstances,” despite their website stating otherwise.

There was no mention at purchase that this was a final sale. No signs in the store, no warning — just policies hidden at the bottom of their site. That’s misleading and, under Ontario law, may be illegal.

Vitaly does not honor their 30-day return policy. They hide behind vague wording and refuse accountability even for defective items.

⚠️ If this happens to you, file a complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario and initiate a chargeback through your credit card provider. That’s the only way companies like this will learn to respect their customers.

What’s the point of a 30 days return and exchange guarantee if they fail on Day 1 and still deflect responsibility?

We're sorry that you were unhappy with our provided solutions for your damaged items. Unfortunately, the items you were trying to return were not eligible for standard returns after they became damaged, but we were more than happy to assist you with a warranty claim.

We understand that you didn't want to submit a warranty claim, however due to the damage to your items in your care, a standard return was not possible.

Approved warranty claims provide a direct replacement, or in this case, would have given you store credit to put toward another item as is normal within our policy for out-of-stock items.

I had an issue with my order and reached out to have it resolved, the Vitaly team answered each of my emails within about an hour. They were very helpful in getting my issue resolved and have beautiful jewelry.

I recently had to exchange something because I didn’t love the color and it was super easy and smooth. Very friendly helpful team. Highly recommend :)

Versand und Verpackung grandios

Ich habe mir die V1_LUAR_CHAIN_01 Chain gekauft und bin mit allen sehr zufrieden. Die Fotos auf der Website waren sehr gut und dadurch konnte ich mich besser entscheiden ob ich die auch haben möchte.
Etwas dass mich sehr interessiert hat war das die Kette ein Mann und eine Frau anhatten und man so denn unterschied der Kette sehen konnte, auch wenn es die gleiche ist hatte es trotzdem anders ausgesehen.
Die Chain habe ich mich am 04.04 gekauft und ist nach 3 Tagen Versand angekommen am 07.04. Das Paket wurde sehr schön Verpackt und man hat gemerkt das sehr viel Wert darauf gelegt worden ist diese gut zu verpacken. Alles war sehr schön und recht angenehm.

This is the best brand that you can purchase beautiful excited piece of jewelry in the customer service Is incredible. I’ve been shopping with them for 10 years now I’ve never been disappointed with anything. Thank you, Vitaly for being such a standup brand.

Very understanding and supportive

I ordered two items from Vitaly for my son's birthday. He lives far from me and I planned to give it to him when he visited. When he visited it was past the 30 day return window and unfortunately the bracelet was a size too small. Fortunately, however, Vitaly stepped up and honored the return for me and I was able to get my son the correct size.

Customer service (Miguel, Richard, and Aimee) was VERY prompt, friendly, and supportive.

Thanks Vitaly for being such a stand up company.

My original shipment never arrived and…

My original shipment never arrived and the company refused a reimbursement of my order, sending me only 1 of 3 articles and giving the rest via gift card so I have to spend the money on other things and cannot return my wares. They claim it's not their fault so they take no responsibility and offer no goodwill. But of course they will get their money back from the carrier, and they want me stuck with a gift card so they don't lose revenue. I've never seen such bad practice for an online store, and I sadly cannot recommend buying there except you like endless discussions.

No pride in their products

No pride in their products whatsoever. Bought from them many times prior, but this time around there was a quality control issue with one of the necklaces that I got. The necklace has a rough edge on the connecting ring which caught onto my sweater and ripped a hole in it. Reached out to them, and they simply sent me an automated email to file for a warranty claim. Clicked on the page they’ve provided, but it takes me to product return page instead. No more email response from them after that. This company is a disappointment, and I will not spend another dime on them.

necklace warped out of shape after less…

necklace warped out of shape after less than one month of wear. When I reported the issue I was told that "the warranty does not cover wear and tear". The whole experience was icky, poor customer service, and disingenuous communication, I did not get the impression they wanted to help me at all. I have no idea what warranty would cover if not something that breaks immediately.

Never order from Vitaly.

Never ordering from Vitaly again.

The first time, spent $80 on a pair of earrings, and they arrived as such. Perfectly fine.

This time, I ordered WHAT I THOUGHT was a pair of earrings for another $80. When it arrived, it was a single earring. $80 for a single piece of stainless steel garbage. Nowhere on the site at the time did I see this being advertised as a single earring, nor was it any cheaper than the PAIR that I had previously bought. One would assume that a single earring would cost noticeably less than a pair. Hard Jewelry does this without issue.

When I went to return the earring that I had essentially been scammed on, all I was met with was a message that said this item is "final sale" and can not be returned. 80$ that I just flushed down the toilet. Never buy from Vitaly, overpriced pieces of metal. Buy from Bodyartform, the materials are exactly the same, the designs look good, and the pricing is far more reasonable for what you are given.

On our website, all of our earrings sold as pairs are shown as pairs, and likewise those sold in singles and displayed as single earrings. In the product page descriptions, earrings are also described as being pairs or single earrings. Unfortunately, the reason your earring could not be returned is in fact due to the hygiene-related risks and restrictions which are stipulated on the product pages and in the help center. All of our earrings are final sale.

DONT BUY NOTHING

Hi,

My 9214490347125904022932 order has not arrived. It’s been 11 days and when I look it appears to be in New Zealand.I am at USA California Visalia. I thought you were a good company. Your website says delivery within 3-5 days.

Charged duties for merchandise I will return

I ordered a number of items intending to return most of them; the shipment was from Vitaly in Canada to the United States.

I ended up being charged $212.10 of import duties for the shipment. When I reached out to Vitaly, they said that there was no way they could predict the duties required for their goods, which is absurd – FedEx, their shipper, offers an online calculator.

Now I'm stuck filing forms with Customs & Border Protection the government to try to reclaim the duties on these items. I'll never order from them again.

Don’t buy anything from these scammers

Don’t buy anything from these scammers! I purchased a chain as a gift, and the color of the marbles changed in less than two weeks, even without being worn, while it was still in the box. I took the chain to the store and asked for an exchange or warranty, but they refused to help and referred me to their website. I also received no support from their website. The chain cost $120 and was supposed to have a lifetime warranty. I wasted my money. Don’t buy from a brand that has no customer support and makes fake promises!

Ordered a size 7 and was shipped a size…

Ordered a size 7 and was shipped a size 4. After ordering I was sent a confirmation email. The confirmation email told me that a size 4 was being shipped. I contacted the company by email twice within an hour of ordering. I was ignored until they shipped the ring then when I returned the item they charged me $8 for their system error. Poor customer service and I think they are not looking for any repeat business by reading alot of their reviews.

For context, if the order confirmation email you received stated a size 4, then that is the size you selected during checkout for your order, perhaps by mistake. We cannot change order confirmations within our system, and our system is setup to be extremely precise regarding customer order details.

It also worth mentioning that while our support teams try to address all customer inquiries as soon as possible, during the holiday season our team experiences extremely high peak volumes of customer inquiries which may result in temporary delays. You were certainly not ignored, but there may have been a delay in getting to your support case due to high seasonal volumes of customer support cases.

A Very Honest Review

I picked up a few pieces from Vitaly Design recently—the Tensho Earrings, Resonator Earrings, Keshi Bracelet, and the Ravish Necklace—and honestly, they blew me away. All of them are super well-made and feel like they’ll last forever, but the Ravish Necklace? That one is next level. It’s bold, elegant, and just pulls everything together. You can tell there’s so much thought put into the details of each piece. If you’re into jewelry that’s unique and modern without being over-the-top, Vitaly’s definitely worth checking out.

Great products but buying experience could be improved for EU customers

I bought the shimmer necklace and 2 rings during the black friday sale, they're all lovely and really stand out. Unfortunately the 2 rings were too big so I had to return them, then re-order them in the right size (since you can't exchange discounted items otherwise they make you pay full price).

I have some mixed feelings about the whole buying experience because of this. Thought I would take a chance since there are 30 days to return… but it’s up to the customer to pay for return costs (which are insanely expensive, 15€ for a 80 grams package??? and that was the cheapest option). And then I had to pay shipping fees for the 2nd order, even if I was just re-ordering the same items I needed in the right size. The first order had free shipping... I reached out to customer service to see if we could work something out, to no avail. Sometimes a small commercial gesture goes a long way...
The support was very quick in answering though.

In the end I lost a big chunk of the “savings” I was supposed to make with the Black Friday sale on shipping costs back and forth. I love the products, but I’ll be hesitant to order again from this website, especially for rings. I hope that one day Vitaly products make their way back to Zalando (or other marketplace) where I used to buy them, because it was a lot easier and less headache-inducing, at least for European customers.
