UPDATING MY 3/16/2026 REVIEW OF WATCH CHECK AS OF TODAY, 3/28/2026 .. DAD'S ROLEX WATCH HAS FINALLY BEEN SERVICED AND IS ON ITS WAY BACK TO ME .. MAY UPGRADE TO 5 STARS AFTER I WEAR THE WATCH TO SEE HOW IT PERFORMS .. BIG $$ SPENT FOR THE OVERHAUL, COMMUNICATION ONGOING FROM WATCH CHECK WAS SPOTTY AND THEY RESPONDED BEST TO BEING BEAT UP A LITTLE BIT .. PROOF WILL BE IN THE PUDDING, RIGHT? .. This may become a one star review pretty soon. Watch Check has had my late father's circa 1958 Rolex in for overhaul and repair at their subcontractor watch repair facility (Scholl & Company) since December 5, 2025. I paid them $795 on November 10, 2025 for their initial assessment fee and an additional $1,695 on December 2, 2025 for additional, need parts to return the watch to manufacturer original new standard. Watch Check has been inconsistent and lagging on providing me with ongoing timely updates about the status of the watch repair and I have had to initiate communication with them ongoing in order to get any updates. Apparently the needed parts have been at Scholl & Company since February 9, 2026, but as of March 16, 2026 I still have no further updates from Watch Check about repair progress and I certainly have not received the repaired watch back that Watch Check has been handsomely paid for. The 120 calendar day window for me to dispute credit card charges made by Watch Check has already passed for the initial $795 payment and is about to expire for the subsequent $1,695 payment made by me to Watch Check and I must contact my credit card company today to discuss filing a dispute and requesting an extension of the dispute filing calendar day timeline available to me. Barring satisfactory completion of our contract, my next steps must be to file complaints with the attorneys general of California (Watch Check state of residence, Illinois (School & Company state of residence) and Maine (my state of residence) for fraud.

Initially with reservations in having case restoration services rendered for my IWC chronograph Flieger, my mind was set at ease with the frequency of status updates from the concierge. Moreover, the results of the lug fix (included laser welding) exceeded all expectations.

It is now been over 12 weeks since watch check has received my watch which is an omega mark two chronometer that needed a very simple repair of it replace replaced crown and gasket. Is now apparent that watch had my watch for over two months before even looking at it because they did not inform me that they even needed to order extra parts until after two months at which time they also charge me an additional $356 on top of the $1200 they charge for the service for the parts two weeks after that they informed me that the parts were ordered and that the repairs were going smoothly and then as of today, January The 19th. I have yet to receive my watch and I’ve now been informed that the parts in fact were not ordered or received. To summarize watch check has now have my watch for over three months watch check has either been completely misinformed or miscommunicated or been purposefully deceptive about the actual process of what’s going on with the watch and to reiterate, even further they have now had my watch over three months. It is not repaired and it has not been returned to me.
This is an update. It is now February 4. I have yet to receive my watch. I’ve now been in receipt of multiple conflicting messages about whether parts have been ordered or when and now I’ve been told that the parts perhaps were ordered, but they did not arrive and they are having to order parts again the what follows is a formal demand for resolution sent to the company on this date February 4th, 2026:
To Whom It May Concern,
This correspondence serves as a formal demand for immediate resolution regarding my Omega watch that was entrusted to WatchCheck for remote service in early November 2025.
As of today—nearly four months later—I remain without my property, without a completed repair, and without a credible or consistent explanation for the delay. Despite repeated inquiries and multiple support tickets, it has become apparent that:
• My watch was not meaningfully assessed for approximately the first two months after receipt
• Parts were not allegedly ordered until early January
• I am now being told, over a month later, that those parts have still not been received and that WatchCheck is “attempting to reorder”
• No documentation, tracking, manufacturer confirmation, or substantiation of these claims has been provided
This pattern reflects, at minimum, negligent handling, failure to perform services within a reasonable timeframe, and lack of good-faith communication. At worst, it raises serious concerns regarding custody, chain-of-possession, and misrepresentation relating to my property.
To be clear: I entrusted WatchCheck with an expensive Omega timepiece under the reasonable expectation of competent service, transparent communication, and timely return. That expectation has not been met. The continued retention of my watch without substantiated progress or verifiable status now constitutes a material breach of your obligations.
Accordingly, I hereby demand the following within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of this notice:
Written confirmation of the current physical location and condition of my watch
A documented service status, including proof of parts ordered from Omega or authorized suppliers (dates, references, or confirmations)
A definitive timeline for completion and return
OR
Immediate return of my watch in its current condition, fully insured, at WatchCheck’s expense
If WatchCheck is unable or unwilling to comply, I will proceed without further notice to pursue all available remedies, including but not limited to claims for breach of contract, negligence, conversion, and bad-faith business practices, as well as complaints to consumer protection authorities and formal legal action.
You are further directed to preserve all records, communications, internal notes, shipping logs, and third-party correspondence related to my watch, as these may be relevant to future proceedings.
I would strongly prefer to resolve this matter promptly and professionally. However, continued delay, obfuscation, or non-responsiveness will be interpreted as intentional and will be treated accordingly.
I expect a substantive written response no later than ten (10) calendar days from today.

After several years, I decided to have my "old friend," an Omega Speedmaster 321 caliber (ST105.003.65), serviced. My first choice was WatchCheck. I have the watch back home now, and I can tell you I was a little worried about the spare parts since this watch is very old (I bought it 58 years ago) and wasn't working very well. The service took a little longer than expected due to replacement parts, but there was nothing to worry about; these people took care of everything and delivered a watch in perfect condition, like new. I am very happy with their service and their attention to detail. They kept me informed about the progress of the maintenance every step of the way. I highly recommend them and will definitely use their services again in the future.

I decided to use Watch Check based on articles and reviews. The process was exactly as described, and the communication was great for my Rolex Datejust which has great sentimental value.
In the case of my watch, the reversers needed replacement at an additional charge, which was reasonable, so I approved it. The service took a bit longer than originally planned, but this was due to their testing and subsequent return to the service technician for additional adjustment. It's reassuring that their testing and recalibrating isn't just lip service...they want to assure the watch is working correctly.
The bottom line is that the watch is performing perfectly, and literally looks new.

I brought a '70s Girard-Perregaux watch I inherited from my father to two different Swiss watch shops, and both refused to work on it, saying it wasn’t worth their time because it was vintage. I then reached out to WatchCheck, and not only did they accept the job, they made the entire process incredibly easy—including insured shipping. They kept me updated throughout the service and even provided a two-year warranty when the watch was returned.
