Enttäuschende Erfahrung – lange Lieferzeit und defekte Uhr

Leider bin ich mit meiner Bestellung sehr unzufrieden. Während des gesamten Bestellprozesses wurde ich nicht ausreichend über den aktuellen Status meiner Bestellung und die zu erwartende Lieferzeit informiert. Zudem erfolgte die Lieferung nicht annähernd pünktlich, sondern erst etwa zwei Monate nach der Bestellung.

Noch enttäuschender ist, dass die Uhr nach Erhalt bereits defekt war und stehen blieb.

Bei einer neuen Uhr erwarte ich sowohl eine zuverlässige Abwicklung und transparente Kommunikation als auch ein einwandfrei funktionierendes Produkt. Leider wurden diese Erwartungen in keinem der genannten Punkte erfüllt. Insgesamt eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung, die ich mir deutlich anders vorgestellt hatte.

Absolutely flawless customer service, only bettered by the watch itself!

My Galo Super200 Dark arrived yesterday, after a long gestation period and it was worth every single second of the wait! It delivers exactly what it promised - the look, size, feel, and charm of a vintage skin diver but with the reliability and specification of a modern timepiece.

A few reviews on here mention a long delivery time for their watches but that was made very clear and visible from the outset. I can only imagine that those individuals didn’t take the time to read the projected delivery schedules when they placed their orders.

I hadn’t selected an additional leather strap for my watch at point of purchase (feeling the bracelet and tropic strap would suffice) but when I wanted to add one to my order, Carolina & the team could not have been more helpful in making that process as smooth as could be. The emails back and forth were always polite, friendly, engaging, and “up”! They’ve been a genuine pleasure to correspond with.

The watch is a great piece of kit, full stop. When you then consider the price they are charging it becomes phenomenal - tremendous value for money. To think that mindless hordes are blindly wasting equivalent budgets (or more!) on mass-produced, soul-less articles, churned out by faceless corporations, when they could invest in something that has style, character, individuality, AND is practical - it blows my mind and saddens my heart.

Galo Watches deserve your attention, your consideration, and your custom!

Months since I ordered my watch and they still can’t sell me when it will arrive. Dishonest and poor communication. Can’t tell you if the watch is any good.

No delivery + no real update about any delivery after months.

Excellent and consistent communication from the team throughout the experience of the initial order to the watch arriving. As for the watch itself, it is of very high quality. The beads of steel strap looks unique and I like the fact that I was provided an alternative strap for different occasions. I'm already receiving compliments on my new watch from friends and colleagues.

Do not hesitate on purchasing from this company. My experience from the day the order was placed to the day it arrived was great. It took just over three weeks to arrive to me in the north west of the UK.

La montre a été commandée immédiatement lors de l'ouverture des commandes. Ensuite il nous est déjà indiqué que nous sommes dans le 2eme Batch qui est prévu plus tards mais on nous indique que la montre est déjà en production et bientot prete à partir. Ensuite Deux mails pas clair qui nous indiquent qu'il y aura du retards sans réelles précisions. puis aucune nouvelles.

Purchased a watch from them within minutes of their order window opening. Now two months later nothing has shipped. Received two “delays” emails which have no details of when it will be shipped. Both original shipment dates were missed. Email them to inquire about delivery and received Delivery Failure notice that their email address cannot be reached. I assumed I was scammed out of $500.

Edit: I finally received the watch after 2.5 months of waiting. Very poor communication from merchant and you cannot even contact them as their email is invalid. Very nice watch, but I would not go through this experience again.

Be Careful. Nice pictures on website, promises made, shipment dates missed still no watch , no replies to emails.

This company has zero competence when it comes to delivering their watches to the customer. They missed numerous self-imposed deadlines to ship, then chose a disaster of a firm as the courier. Tracking information was repeatedly wrong and the day of delivery my package showed it was in Pennsylvania when I live in Seattle. The flip side--the reason I revised this review to 3 stars--is that the watch is truly a work of art. Very well conceived and finished. If Galo can address their shipping issues (most people would pay $50 to get the piece in a timely manner) they would be off to the races. So...great product, not so great execution of delivery.

Excellent watch, and my first one had a couple of issues which I had a moan about and sent a couple of photos and they sent a new one out really quickly with no drama.
Definitely recommend.

Galo makes beautiful, high quality wachtes that are, in general, well worth the money. There are two BUTs though, that led me to deduct points here.

First, they are using the miyota 9039 movement which ensures a slim profile and is capable of precise timekeeping. However in my specific timepiece the movement doesnt seem to have been well regulated, if regulated at all, leaving me with a +35-40 seconds per day outcome. Not a deal breaker, but it's a shame because the movement itself can do so much better.

Second, the watch should've come with a tropic rubber strap as well as a beads of rice bracelet. However, AFTER the purchase was done, Galo informed customers, that the bracelets had some quality control issues coming from the manufacturer and will be shipped seperately later. Galo was very transparent in the process and even said to provide a free leather strap in the end for the inconvenience, which I highly appreciate. Also its worth mentioning, that wanting to deliver a high quality product that meets their and their customers standards, should be valued higher than a quick shipment. However from a purchase in August we're now almost in December, still no shipment of the bracelet, which is just too long. In general I'm not a fan of selling something that you are not 100% sure of you can deliver. We're not a kickstarter campaign here.

I ordered the Super 200 Dark Edition, and the watch itself is genuinely excellent. Great finishing, solid build, and a design that punches above its price. No complaints on the watch head at all.

However, the experience with the Beads of Rice bracelet has been extremely disappointing.

My order included both the watch and the bracelet. The watch arrived on time. The bracelet… never did.
What followed was two months of shifting timelines and repeated promises:

“Shipping 25th September”

“Third week of October”

“First days of November”

“First two weeks of November”

Every time the date reached, it slipped again with a new explanation attached. “Final refinements,” “end links being adjusted,” “handmade processes,” “assembly aligned with the next launch,” and so on.

As of 20 November, the bracelet has still not shipped, and there’s been no firm date, no tracking number, and no resolution. Just rolling estimates that come and go.

I’ve now asked Galo to take the entire order back and refund me in full, because the patience required has gone far beyond reasonable.

The watch is a 5-star product.
The fulfilment and communication around the bracelet have been a 1-star experience.

If you’re considering Galo, be aware: the watch may be great, but if your order includes the bracelet, you might be in for a long and frustrating wait.

I bought a watch and received it over a month late. When it arrived, I discovered it had QC issues (the dial and glas was not symmetrically inline). I've been trying for over three months to get it repaired or returned. The owner responds occasionally, only to disappear for weeks or even a month (Im still trying but with no answer).

The watch is supposed to have a 24-month warranty, but since it's impossible to get in touch with them, it's a complete scam!

Do not buy from them!"
