Had to scrap my car due to ULEZ and contacted Wraysbury Car Spares and Metals (WCSM) Got a quote over the phone and a few days later they came to collect my car. Need to highlight that the collection driver who picked up my car was very polite and courteous, skills which these days seem to be lacking, so a very special Thank You to him. Great service, prompt collection within 2 working days. On arrival the driver was very friendly and I received my cheque for the correct amount in hand. I was emailed my certificate of destruction later the same day. Very efficient, reliable service. Used as part of the ULEZ scrappage scheme and very happy with the service received.

Emailed company on the 23rd August for an appointment they emailed me back with same day collection and the best price around for my car, Certificate of Destruction posted out to me. Very quick and easy from start to Finish and dealt with DVLA on my behalf

Car removed and received a cheque for the amount quoted with no hassles. Worked fine for me as MOT had just expired.
Note that their only concern is that the car has not been modified or had parts removed, so you'll need to be clear about this from the start. Price quoted depends on current scrap metal rates, which fluctuate. I found them honest and straightforward to deal with.

Was guarantee £290 for my old Golf and as soon as they arrived said it wasn’t the original catalytic converter and would only give me £120. Had booked them through scrapcarquotes who guaranteed the price quoted was the price I’d get. After two weeks of fighting I managed to get the price promised but assume they hope most people won’t bother and they will be able to just get away with it. Be wary.

In reply to their comment below about Ts and Cs: there is no such info given in the Ts and Cs supplied by scrapcarcomparison as i read over them as my job involves writing Ts and Cs! Nowhere does it mention catalytic convertors- maybe if id dealt directly with Wraysbury that info would have been supplied but Scrapcar do not as i have triple checked

reply to their reply- clearly im not a serial bad reviewer, i leave good ones were due. Interesting that i got refunded the difference afterwards as it was agreed you had been unfair. THAT speaks for itself.

Good company to deal with for spare parts, great customer care & communication from start to finish on my purchase and answered all my questions. Satisfied it was the right part I needed from emailed photo’s sent by Tom I went ahead and purchased, glad to say that it arrived today (22/09/22) in a well secured packaged box and was exactly as described. I have no qualm’s in recommending this company to anyone looking for part’s, if they have what you need then order it.
