JD Power and KBB do not buy cars. They will not cut you a check for any valuation you may see online. They make money selling leads to dealers who pay for your contact information. Those dealers have no obligation to pay you that price and are usually more interested in selling you a car with a high profit margin, than matching a number from a site you saw online that they purchased your contact information from.

If you do want to price check us against a comparable source, we do recommend checking the KBB Instant Cash Offer which we usually beat. This shows you how much you can get in a straight cash sale. Bait and switch is an illegal and immoral business practice and does not happen at webuyanycar.com. We do rely on our customers to tell us about any issues with the vehicle when requesting an online valuation. When you valued the vehicle on our website on 1/4/2024 at 2:52 PM, you disclosed a chip on the passenger side fender which to us, is fair wear and tear.

Like any professional buyer, we always appraise the vehicle before we make an offer and there were additional battle scars that had not been disclosed to us. The front bumper was cracked and broken and there were several large dents around the body of the vehicle. When we discovered these issues we had to adjust the price we could offer for the vehicle.

While our leadership team has been unsuccessful at reaching you by phone and email, we noticed you returned several days later and sold the Honda to us after all. We had an independent third-party company inspect the vehicle and they identified even more reconditioning costs than we did. Using the standard NAAA vehicle condition grading scale we rated the Honda a 2.97 while the independent inspector rated the vehicle a 2.5.

I'm pleased to see that despite the undeclared issues, we were able to make you an offer you were happy to accept. We remain committed to giving you the 5-star experience.
