Supportive advice and a realistic sounding board
I've engaged with Wenta over a number of months at different stages of my professional journey. What I've particularly valued is that the advice has been realistic, constructive and tailored to my circumstances rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. I also found their on-demand videos intuitive and easy to follow.
Through discussions with the team, particularly Mick Dobson and Michael Cheung, I've been encouraged to think carefully about opportunities, risks and practical next steps.
The support has helped me reflect on business ideas, self-employment, community projects and longer-term career planning in a structured way.
What stands out is that the focus has never been on pushing me towards a particular route, but on helping me assess options objectively and make informed decisions. Even when an idea needed refining or challenging, the feedback was supportive and honest.

Helpful tips, but more practical support for early-stage businesses would be useful
The advisor shared some really good tips. However, I would have found it helpful to explore practical solutions to my main challenge: having too many tasks to manage on my own.
My business is still at an early stage, with limited income and little access to grants, so paying for additional help is difficult. Suggestions such as approaching colleges or universities for student project support would have been particularly useful. This was something I later discovered through my own research.
More advice tailored to the resources available to early-stage businesses would make the support more useful.

Wenta made me believe I can!
I first contacted Wenta in 2020 as I needed help setting up self employed. I'm Autistic so I have trouble working with others. I attended about 5 different courses that were all very helpful, easy to follow and interesting. They definitely helped with things like social media, accounting, etc. I also liked the online chats you can have when a question comes up. Even after many years, I still receive help from Mick Dobson with my accounts as I have Dyscalculia so he has helped me keep my books as easy as possible for my brain which I always really appreciate. Everyone I have ever spoken to there are friendly and happy to help. I would sing wentas praises from the rooftops. They've helped me keep working.
