Slow customer service and poor knowledge
I took two bottles to whisky.auction. One bottle was quite unique and needed some research done. After weeks and weeks of chasing they told me they could not verify one of the bottles so didn't want to sell it. I waisted so much time and money chasing them. I then contacted Whisky Auctioneer (a much better company) and they researched it, valued it and then sold it in a few days for a great price.

In cases where we are unable to verify a bottle's provenance or authenticity to the standard required by our specialists, we must proceed with caution and, where necessary, return the bottle rather than offer it for sale.
We discussed our concerns regarding the bottle when it was initially dropped off and continued to keep you updated as our investigation progressed, aiming to provide as much clarity and transparency as possible at every stage so are disappointed to learn that you felt you had to repeatedly chase for information throughout the process.

Another great experience with Whiskey Auction
I have used Whisky Auction to buy bottles on a number of occasions and found it very successful. Their packaging is first class and the delivery very swift after purchase. Communications are similarly very efficient.
