We first traveled with Wilderness several years ago in Namibia. That was our third trip to Africa so when we decided on a fourth trip to Botswana we were pleased to learn that Wilderness now worked directly with travelers. We are a party of four [two couples] out of Atlanta and Anneli has been great to work with. We were quickly able to settle on three camps and book the times we needed. Looking forward to traveling July 2023 and so far the experience with Wilderness has been great.

We traveled to AndBeyond Ngala Tented Camp and used Kelly w/ Wilderness Safaris to facilitate. The whole trip was seamless and we had a great time at the beautiful camp. Kelly was very helpful in laying out the different options for us, working with the camps on scheduling, and facilitating the last minute details. I trusted her recommendations fully.

We booked our honeymoon through Wilderness Safaris and could not have been happier with the experience! We started our trip in Cape Town & then the Winelands -- Wilderness handled all of our transfers (to and from the airport and to and from the Winelands), as well as a full day Cape Point tour. Our guide (Christine) was the absolute SWEETEST -- on time for everything, insanely knowledgable and even bought us a bottle of wine that we loved as a 'honeymoon' gift. We were so sad to leave her at the Cape Town airport! Wilderness also handled our entire safari booking in Botswana, including all bush flights, safari camps and our final transfer to Victoria Falls (where we ended up being on a chartered plane all to ourselves!) airport + hotel. We would undoubtedly use them again for any trip to Africa -- the experience was seamless, which was extremely appreciated for first time travelers to the continent, as well as honeymooners looking to have a low stress trip! One couple at our first camp in Botswana had been on 3 safaris with Wilderness -- they seem to have many repeat customers which is always a great thing to see, and we can't wait to be one of them! Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!

We had an unbelievable trip. I can't imagine having done it without the help of Wilderness Safaris. They made sure that we had greeters at every airport who would help us with our bags and usher us through immigration and security all the way to our gates. This was incredibly important as we had many tight connections. In addition, every lodge knew we were on our honeymoon and made special preparations for us. We felt so prepared thanks to Wilderness, and their constant availability and willingness to mold different itineraries for us was so nice. A wonderful company. Would highly recommend that people use them if booking a trip to Africa.

We have travelled with Wilderness before to Botswana. It was a spectacular trip with spectacular camps. This time we are going to South Africa and have not yet departed, but help with all the arrangements was very good.

A wonderful trip was planned with Malcolm. This is the second safari company we worked with for this trip and chose to use them because they were so focused on making the trip personal. Malcolm really listened to our desires, our budget and came up with fantastic options which we worked together to finalize, using his expert knowledge of the Okavango Delta. I would love it if Malcolm was our bush pilot as he did the flying for 5 years - this way we get to meet him personally.

The process for finalizing the booking (deposit, personal information etc) was very easily done online.

We are one year away from actually taking the trip we've booked, and are still working on planning our adventures through Wilderness Safaris, but so far the booking and planning process has been excellent. Our contact, Kelly Mattin, is exceptional: endlessly cheerful, full of very helpful knowledge about the camps and experiences, and always wanting to assist us in getting the safari itinerary that fits our parameters - and to help me create special birthday experiences for my husband's 50th. We are already counting down the days!

Our safari holiday with Wilderness Safaris – eleven days at four camps – was spectacular. On the ground, we can’t imagine a finer experience. All front-line staff were delightful, the accommodations stunning, the support staff amazingly efficient and helpful, and the dining exceptional. Our wonderful and informative discussions with all personnel were great pleasures.

One spends eight hours a day or more with guides on safari, so our highest praise goes toward our marvelous guides who essentially revealed to us the magic of Africa with knowledge and wisdom. What amazing educational backgrounds, training and experience, and interpersonal skills! They were delightful.

An important aspect of our journey that we did not consider until after the trip was the planning and real-time support we received: money matters; insurance; flight modifications; helping us make tight connections in unnavigable airports; and many other issues. The Wilderness planning and operations team was invaluable.

In sum, we loved it! From the top down, Wilderness Safaris appears to be an excellent company, very well managed at all levels, with immaculate attention to its staff and great caring and assistance for the local populations. In a recap discussion with a good friend who recommended Wilderness to us - based on his career in travel writing and editing and his experience with many safari companies - he said: “I learned that I could always trust Wilderness Safaris to deliver the real safari experience, unlike others which left you wondering why you had bothered to go.” We had a wonderful time; contact them and see for yourself.

Wilderness Safari has been amazing to work with as we work to book a big Safari trip for next year. Angela has been very responsive, answering all of questions and be helpful, patient and knowledgeable as we worked thru finding the right itinerary. It's hard to narrow down which company to book such a monumental trip with, but I so glad we chose Wilderness Safari!

Our family of 4 went on a 4 day safari with Wilderness in July in Zimbabwe. We have the most amazing experience. Communication and customer service was unmatched and everyone was so friendly and helpful and accommodating. Our guide, Chamu, was especially great. He truly made the trip quite memorable. It exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend.

Our Tanzania adventure was truly magical. Emma, at Wilderness, planned everything perfectly and had us well prepared with packing list etc. We loved the variation in camps and parks. We also loved the authentic nature of the camps. The guides and camp staff were wonderful. The wildlife spectacular. Can’t wait to work with Wilderness again on a Safari adventure!

Wilderness Safaris have arranged an adventure to Zimbabwe and Zambia for me, my daughter and grandson. Kelly explained in detail all the exciting children specific activities to make this an unforgettable experience for him. Nothing was too much trouble in the planning of our holiday. This is the second trip Wilderness Safaris have organised for us and I’m sure it will be as memorable as the first.

I am so happy with Wilderness Safaris. They give all small details for the tours, that it is very important. I feel really safe about my future trip to Namibia. Thank you so much.

Anneli Rudiger from Wilderness was so very helpful through the planning process. Her intimate knowledge of Namibia having grown up there was a great benefit. She made great suggestions and didn't push us to make a decision before we were ready. I would highly recommend Anneli if you are thinking of planning a trip.

My trip doesn't start for a few mos but planning it was interesting & surprisingly fun. Angela assisted me through every step. She answered each question I had & was very attentive. It's so refreshing to work with people that love what they do. Everyone that has helped me so far seem to be truly passionate about sharing their love for Africa by aiding them to plan their own safari. I can hardly wait to go!

me and my wife had great trip starting with the hotel in Cape Town the location was excellent and the foods also, our visit of Stellenbosch and the hotel was also first class.
our first safari was with Singita Boulders Lodge, the experience was great and all services were very good.
the other visit was in Zambia for the Victoria Falls great locotion for the hotel and site seing,maybe the hotel is overrated for food and rooms.
second safari was in Botswana everything was above our expectation, food ,service and specially our guide Willy.
our third safari was in Namibia,we where at Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp great service food and guide Mosus was very good.

Great experience in Botswana! Amazing view of big 5 and other animals. Trip well planned and organized. Very good composition of camps. Expensive but good value-for-money. Overall: great trip and 100% recommendation.
