I'm a verified Winston Privacy user for almost a year now. Superb device. The privacy levels of the device are outstanding. For those that don't know your "Smart devices" are transmitting a lot of data to third party users that Winston blocks. With its AI technology you are guaranteed a safe online experience. Updated nearly weekly along with the modules and filters. When the device is enabled you are actually more anonymous then your standard subbed VPN. Impressive technology the Winston crew has developed. Remember the data is saved for 7 days on your device only, then wiped permanently. The only downside, there is no plans to support Torrents to date. You will need to sub to a VPN to torrent.

Winston has given me peace of mind with my home internet security. At first I noticed a slight slowdown in my connection as things got worked out but the dashboard is user-friendly and their customer support is expedient and friendly.

My only problem is they asked me for a review on Facebook; I urge every single person to delete their Facebook accounts immediately and without abandonment issues. It is not your friend.

Amazing device, and a real eye-opener to how many smart devices are sending out data even when they're "off". Has also saved us a ton of usage, and considering we're on a capped-plan this is invaluable.

To new users, yes, you're going to see some limited functionality with particular services/devices but Winston has optional packages for pretty much every service that you can install to remedy any issues. It's a great way to customize what you want to share and what you don't.

Worst customer service.
As soon as you install it, your internet slows down a lot. Some of your smart devices won't even connect anymore, like smart TV. On some of websites page won't refresh.
After cancelled service two weeks in, try to return equipment. No luck. Send like 5 emails and just received response that ticket open , but never got resolved. Simple question was asked about return, but no direct answer. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT TRY

I just want to say the customer and technical support of Winston are truly outstanding. I had some issues with Disney+ and some issues with VPN while using Winston.

The customer support representative, Chase at Facebook messenger is very helpful, polite and fast in replying. When there was a problem, he cannot solve, he escalated me to speak to one of the company's lead engineer, Dan to troubleshoot the problems using Google hangouts.

Both Chase and Dan are both professional, friendly and easy to work with. They ask great questions and won't try to ask you to check your windows wipers when you cannot start your engine. It's real customer support that can hardly get these days.

Despite the product is not perfect but the customer service made up for it. I believe the product will get better over time. Great job, Winston team!

Winston what you need to to protect your privacy and limit tracking when you surf the Internet. It acts as a proxy to protect you from bad websites, hides your IP address like a VPN and hides your DNS queries that can be used to monitor your Internet browsing. This is all done without you having to be a computer guru. Get one, you can protect the entire family, or just yourself!

Winston is well worth it for me to not have to run/manage a home proxy setup myself and made sense to purchase with all the privacy issues and continuous tracking regimes out there. The service seems to load balance nicely and works with other major services I rely on. Customer service and tech support go above and beyond, my answers are always answered straight away. Well done, Winston!

Winston demolishes anything a VPN could dream of doing. I've been a privacy conscious consumer for several years; relying on expensive and rather slow VPN services. Winston has created a perfect solution that entirely anonymizes your web traffic, allows you to control what is and is not cloaked, works with all the streaming services, and doesn't sacrifice speed.

There is a learning curve; but even for someone the isn't technical - can get the hang of it. Now privacy does not sacrifice speed, thanks Winston.

This is Device is awesome! It is filled with information, and it’s initial tutorial is relatively easy to grasp. Port forwarding is easy for those who have home servers. The easy to use one click options for things such as Hulu and Netflix are a breeze. I noticed the difference in my browsing immediately after everything was installed and configured. At a little over 100 bucks and the 9 bucks per month for everything this device offers is a great bargain.

Great and Evolving

I am a marketing professional and I can unequivocally say the amount of data known about you as a customer is unacceptable. I have been trying to protect myself via VPNs and ad blockers but could never get the correct mix of speed, function and privacy. Winston is the best solution I have found thus far. It is not perfect and you do have to relearn how to navigate the internet. What I mean by this is you can't simply search for your nearest restaurant or service as you are no longer a known entity. It is the first time I have felt like Google/FB and their ilk are not taking advantage of me. This could change the way the internet is run. Companies will no longer be able to rely on harvesting us and must actually charge for a product that is worth it.

Regardless, get this product, be patient as you adjust to a little bit less intuiting internet - but an internet that works for you. If you're not tech savvy, use their tech support. They are people and patient.

This will only get better as more people join and their team keeps learning.

Yesterday was the first day of my free 30-day trial. Therefore, I don't a review of the product yet. However, I can unequivocally say that their service is second to none. Dan Pagan, one of their technical folks was awesome. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. He walked me through every step of the configuration and set up. Full disclosure, although I consider myself somewhat technical, Winston needs some software tweaking to be set up properly. I will be back in 30 days with a review of the product.

Great product, amazing dashboard, easy to install and use if you have the smarts to do so, or watch their instructional video if you don't, hope to see a mobile App soon or some mobile support would be amazing, but as far as home security it's amazing have tested on several security testers and has passed on all, definitely recommend to anyone who wants more anonymity.

They say to call their support team but fail to mention that their customer support hours are 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday meaning the only way to get help is to take time off from work. Who does this? Not people who care about their customers.

The only other support is email support which is worthless if you need help to address a problem quickly (like its interfering with being able to access the internet).

If you value support, you may want to look for another product.

I recently spent a month away from our Winston, and man did I miss it! The frequent updates and improvements make sure it keeps working better and better, and it works wonders to keep ads away and to protect your browsing. Absolutely love it.

I have been late to the home data protection despite dealing with it all the time at work. After trying a remote VPN I still was not convinced it did much. But as they say, information is power, and with all of the insights that you gain from Winston I can’t imagine not using it at home. Can’t wait for the mobile solution since I am out and about most of the day. The whole family will be getting ones for their homes at Christmas!

I’m happy with my Winston, but it needs further updating in my option. I got in early and have a lifetime subscription. I do enjoy the frequent updates, but updates seem to not fix all the slow internet browsing when in mesh/privacy mode. It does a good job blocking all the useless advertising and tracking on sites. I’m happy and looking forward to continuous improvements with speed issues.
