Total scam they 1st ask to deposit 150$ for verification process and after that ask more 200$ for deposit for withdrawal
In May/June, I was looking for a clothing supplier to start a new clothing brand, when my partner was connected with Jaquis Brantley, who self proclaimed he was part owner of WoM Marketing. We ordered a few samples of tees initially, and also a zip-up hoodie.
After the first samples of tees came around, we liked the quality of one of them, and Jaquis came to us with a proposed invoice for a bulk order. In order to place the bulk order, we needed to put 50% down, and he told us that after the next round of samples were delivered, we had 3 business days to either continue with the bulk order, or cancel it for 100% of our deposit refunded. We paid the 50% for the deposit, as well as paid extra for new samples to be made.
The next samples of 3 t-shirts and a zip-up hoodie came in after 2 weeks, and we were not impressed by the quality. It had discoloration on the graphics, poor print quality, missing neck tags, missing manufacturer origin tags, was extremely large (XL / XXL sizes, so we couldn't check the fit). Jaquis told us that they were sourcing from different manufacturers, so it seems we got bait and switched from the first samples we received. After receiving these poor quality samples, we wanted to get our deposit back as there was no way we could continue with our order.
As soon as we received the samples, we knew WoM Marketing was not a company we wanted to work with any longer, as they had inconsistent delivery/quality of products.
We immediately let Jaquis know that we wanted our deposit returned, as we could not approve this for bulk order, and he told us to reach out to support and that they would process it.
Instead of honoring our deposit back, they told us that we only had 3 business days from when we sent the deposit (so we had no chance of verifying whether the samples were okay or not, as it took 2 weeks to receive), and said that our order was slated for production (we never approved anything, nor paid the rest of the invoice), and instead, as a slap in the face, would offer another round of samples for free as a "healthy gesture of goodwill". If our order was already in production, how would they send us more samples? They obviously lied to us and are trying to keep our deposit.
After I replied when they wouldn't send our deposit back, they've completely ghosted me. This company is unprofessional, and a nightmare to work with.
It seems they've already taken our deposit and used it, as the sample costs we paid separately from our deposit as well.
If WoM Marketing or Jaquis Brantley ever tries to do business with you, please run far away. They will promise you a refund to get you to place a deposit, but they will never honor it. I will personally take the time out of my day to talk to anyone about what happened with this company as they've stolen $5k from me that I will likely never see again.
