Aeromedical Consulting UK Covid Testing Reviews 

I’ve seen negative reviews on here. For me the service was faultless. Good parking, easy to get an appointment and friendly staff who were efficient and knowledgeable. I additionally required a cardiologist review for my Class 1 Initial medical for a long standing condition, and was apprehensive about the result. The ECG was reviewed the next day and Dr Fonso immediately emailed me personally to explain that it had been accepted - just to put my mind at ease while I waited on the CAA to issue the medical the following week. Faultless from my perspective - would recommend.

Just like everyone else is saying, avoid them like the plague. If you get any deferrals on your medical they will not support you at all.

They are quite literally useless. Once you pay them the class one Inital fee, they have your money, and if there is any issues with the medical, you are on your own.

I had my medical will them early last year, and was given a deferral. After this I tried to contact them numerous times to ask for support and guidance, and they wouldn’t respond for months on end. The only time I ever got a response from them was when they were trying to send me an invoice after ignoring me for 4 months.

Instead I have had to change AMEs in order to get my primary review submitted. The CAA is aware about the is history of complaints from myself and numerous other applicants who have used this AME, so hopefully something gets done about this.

Save yourself the headache and use Centreline or the AME at Heathrow .

I was reffered to Dr. Fonso by my flight school, the initial stages leading up to and the medical appointment, their fantastic, they do every thing within a decent time frame, if your passed on the date then great... if like me your deffered and by the sounds of it quite a few others, then communication becomes more difficult. At first before their automated response system they were great, they responded quickly, then around 2022/2023 they brought in whatsapp contacts then an auto response system, since then their very difficult to get hold of, I was able to get hold of them due to an out standing balance but now thats been paid, its been no contact for as of writting, 2.5 months.

It took almost 3 years to get my medical due mostly to the NHS being very slow but if you do decide to go with aeromedical then have the medical professionals e-mail the required documents to you & forward copies to the AME, they lost some of my documents.

I did get my certificate but heavily limited, they arnt responding to e-mails, whatsapp & the phone isnt much use either, I'll be reporting them to the CAA & going to a different AME.

requested a copy medical certificate over 2 months ago , emailed 3 times no reply , phoned multiple times , just keep getting fobbed off , paid the relevent fee , still no response , only get reply on whats app (eventually after days of waiting for repy ), keeps just saying thankyou for my patience their dealing with my request .
this company is terrible and very bad service .

Reluctantly I have to write this review of Aeromedical Consulting. I work for a major UK long haul airline but unfortunately I have a medical issue which has grounded me. This year I have been trying to contact Dr Fonso regarding help for this matter. Despite many phone calls, contact forms being filled in and emails I have been totally ignored by this company and Dr Fonso for almost 6 months. My company I work for finds this totally unacceptable as do I. I have even spoken to the CAA about the matter who have also agreed that this is not acceptable from a AME. They have agreed that during the next audit of this company they will be looking into this, as I am clearly not the only person who has had issues with this company. It gives me no pleasure in writing this but unless this issue is raised it won’t get sorted out and other people will suffer a similar experience.

Shocking service. Paid £199 for a cabin crew medical with Ryanair, 1st certificate had the wrong date of birth, second one had the wrong date of birth and now i have been grounded due to the expiry date being wrong, this means every day i don't have the correct certificate i don't get paid!!!! they have failed doing the simplest of tasks!!! who is running this company "Peter Griffin?". AVOID this company at all costs!!! absolutely hopeless, no contact number to sort my problem out just a faceless email address..

Absolutley DISGUSTED by this company. Booked and paid £168f for a cabin crew medical with Flybe however Flybe ceased trading and went into administration. The very day this happened, I rang them on there direct phone number and a woman told me I would be entitled to a refund due to the nature of the cancellation. I have sent multiple emails every day since then and had no reply, I have rang the number every day and the phone is now off. Funny how they could reply the very same day when I enquired about booking an appointment though. AVOID this company they are scammers.

After paying nearly £1000 for an initial class 1 medical and being referred. I provided all the documentation required and have since had no response to any of my attempts to contact them.

They take your money and just abandon you once they’ve been paid. I wish I’d read the reviews before being taken for a ride.

No way to contact them by phone, you just get fobbed off by a call handling company, which in itself should be a red flag.

I’m hindsight it appears others have had to even take legal action. I’m reluctant to do this, but ultimately I won’t accept losing my money, so will do what’s necessary.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE IF YOU REQUIRE A CLASS ONE MEDICAL. This company will no longer allow you to call in and they appear to ignore their contact form. I have been trying to get my Class 1 (already cleared by the CAA) for TWO YEARS. They never respond to emails, their own contact form or the complaints email address. I cannot understand how they are still in business

I find it strange that this company doesn’t do anything to get new customers. I’ve been trying to book a Class 1 medical for the past 2 weeks. The online booking system doesn’t work for class 1 initials. I’ve sent emails with no reply, sent messages online with no reply, sent messages on Facebook messenger with no reply, posted on their Facebook page with no reply. Called up 5 times to be told I’d receive a call back within a certain time frame and have never received any contact from them.

Would advise to get a medical elsewhere as these lot obviously can’t be bothered with new customers.

I’ve used aeromedical consulting for class 1 medicals since 2019.
As soon as there was any issue that needed customer support, no replies to emails or calls, no advice, no customer service.

Absolutely terrible.

Added to that, a cancellation due to covid restrictions has yet to be refunded 6 months later.

Awful service, terrible communication. All they seem to know how to do is bill clients.

After having numerous bad experiences with other companies I’m extremely impressed with the ease of use and fantastic service of Aeromedical and Fasterchecks. Process is super simple and easy to use and takes the stress of the process away, would highly recommend!

They manage to make a simple process confusing and stressful. I'm a regular flyer and this is the most difficult company I've used for COVID testing. Most send you the reference code as soon as you order. This company sends you references to a second company who send you more emails, then it makes you fill in a multi-page form just to just the reference code for the govt. Passenger locator form. This needlessly made an already tiresome process that much more loathsome. I'd recommend not using this company if you can.

Fantastic service, I followed the instructions carefully and they were clear and easy to follow. I received my results within the expected time frame (within minutes) - very happy!!

I booked a Day 2 lateral flow test for a visitor and it arrived promptly. Unfortunately, a few days before the visitor arrived, the government changed the rules which rendered the lateral flow test useless. Try as I have to get a refund on the basis that their test did not meet legal requirements, I got nowhere and no matter how many times I have explained the fact that it was not a matter of my wanting to cancel the order but the fact that the government had changed the rules, their test no longer met the legal requirement and as they could not offer a valid alternative, a full refund should be issues. Time and again they parroted the same response where they pointed me to their refund policy which I was fully aware of. Their cancellation policy mentions it is the the customer's responsibility to order the correct test but it mentions nothing about Aeromedical's tests meeting legal requirements. They advised the refund would be £6 as per their standard policy, I had paid £15, their admin costs being £9, a massive 60% of the order. They also offered, what they saw as a gesture of goodwill bonus, that I keep the test for future use within the following 6 months. I emailed and explained, on numerous occasions that the test was not valid to use and I would not be travelling in the following 6 months so it was useless to me. Time and again their response was the same, our cancellation policy is this and that is that. To this day, the test is in exactly the same sealed pack it arrived in and in the original posting envelope, I have no use for it and I feel having to pay £9 for a test you can get free at the pharmacy (actually a pack of 7) is quite an expensive slap. The government changed the rules not customers and companies should not penalise customers for it, Aeromedical clearly does so I would not recommend anyone to use them in future, I will certainly stay clear off them.

You have to give out loads of data just to get your PLF number - other companies just send in in the email when you buy. Too complicated and unnecessary

There's no way to monitor to check if the lab got your test, they don't answer to email back, don't answer the phone and test results take ages to come in. Very annoying when you're waiting for the result to end self-isolating. Not great!

When restrictions changed in December, Aeromedical was prompt in responding to concerns and provided a very helpful service for our rescheduled travel plans. Again during January with the latest restrictions, their systems proved reliable and easy to use.

Worked out fine took a little to fathom but once I got my head around it as it was my first one, I worked it out so would definitely use again.
