I saw some dresses I wanted to order from them, but after checking the measurements I realized the clothes they sell seem to be for taller girls... No petite sizes. Come on, it's 2023! Time to broden your sizes to accommodate everyone!

I’ve shopped at altered state for about 5 years now, but this last time I ordered online which was a mistake.The sizing is so wacky for example I’m a size small and a size 2 in shorts but the shorts I ordered seem to literally be right up my butt and I got a size small and even compared my measurements to a sizing chart. I mean it’s 2023 i think all of us girls can agree it’s time to stop guesstimating a size by the way the clothing item looks because we can’t trust any sizing charts. Every size small I got also fits differently, I got a skirt in a size small that swallows me and fits more like medium/large ( also compared my measurements to the sizing chart) honestly I should have knew it was going to be bad when my package included a return label and a paper asking what was wrong with the sizing. Anyway I just feel like if I’m spending $100+ just for one item it should at-least be sized right & have better quality than shein.

Definitely my favorite clothing store! They have such beautiful, high-quality dresses, I probably have 10 of their dresses by now. Everything I have from them is well-made and comfortable and I always get compliments. Their stores are very nice and when I order clothes they get here within a week! They do have higher prices but the quality is definitely worth it and they give back to charities. I think they’re a really great brand and one I’m proud to support.

Love all their stuff we have purchased quite a few dresses for my daughter. We also have got some great tops and small gifts. Really unique and great quality

Great experience. I did an instore order for a sweatshirt. Order came in less than a week, however it was a pair of earrings instead of the sweatshirt. Went back to the store and told them the issue. The expedited my sweatshirt, refunded 15% and let me keep the earrings! Awesome! CS.

I purchased a $25 set of earrings, they tarnished within 2 weeks and 2 pairs fell off my ears. I also recently bought a $70 sweater and the first time I washed it it started fraying and got a huge hole in it. Not acceptable.

So I bought this dress that I absolutely love!! Cutest dress I own! I wore it to a wedding and got so many compliments, I washed it and was going to wear it to a high-school banquet and when I put it on it shrunk so much, that when I bend over you can see my butt!! I was devastated turns out that the only way I could have washed it was to take it to a dry cleaner! Are you kidding me! This dress was Expensive and I don't have a dry cleaner near me! I don't ever writ reviews, but I am so mad about this experience that I would definitely not recommend!

What a scam …
I’ve shopped there before and everything is expensive but I ordered on line for an upcoming vaca and the dresses were too big . When I sent them back for an exchange they charged me $20 extra for shipping .. then they lost my order and claim it was an honest mistake. I live two hours away from a store so I had to call several times . This was a waste of a lot of money but also customer service was poor . I would discourage anyone from buying these overpriced clothes .

the employees need to chill on the customer service. i understand it is your job to sell but let me shop in peace for at least 10 minutes. i was getting bombarded by both employees working. when one was out doing something else, the other one was asking me if i liked this or that for my special occasion. i have to fake a smile and say i like it and i’ll try it on but i think everyone who comes in there has a specific item of clothing that they’re looking for and can use their eyes to see what they like. they get too personal asking what i’m shopping for and what i’m doing, when where and why. like girl why u need to know that just let me do my thing. the lady came to my dressing room twice with butt ugly stuff to try on that was completely the opposite of what i was looking for. let’s take it down a notch please.

You should only buy on sales, the quality of their clothes is too bad for those prices. Apart from that, the stores are beautifully presented.

My first visit to Altar’d State. The sale representatives were all very helpful and friendly. The items inside the store were all neatly displayed and the dressing room was very clean. I received one of their jackets as a gift and it was too big for me. They exchanged it without any trouble. I would definitely return.

Terrible. I love their clothes but this most recent experience has made me no longer a customer. I placed an order on 1/5, the next day I received an email my order shipped and I was charged. 3 days later I get a notification that my complete order did not ship and that they would be correcting my charge. Well after speaking to their customer service department I was told that I was not eligible for a refund or an order cancellation because my order shipped already. But that they would refund my shipping charges. I wasn’t going to be charged for shipping but when they cancelled some of my order I was being charged shipping. They messed up and they refuse to admit. So now I have $160 pulled from my account for the original charge and have to wait for them to refund it because there’s another charge of $110 for what they actually shipped and another charge for $98 because that’s the difference of shipping costs. So I have over $350 worth of charges because they don’t know what they’re doing and blame my bank for not processing things quickly enough. It’s illegal for them to charge me until it’s been shipped. Save your time and energy don’t online shop there

I don’t purchase much from them because ALL their dresses are Polyester and or nylon. I can’t stand polyester material on and it makes their dresses uncomfortable. I quit buying from them because of the material. I prefer cotton.

$10 shipping is ridiculous. I went to the website and it said if I signed up for emails they would give me free shipping. They didn’t and I refuse to pay $10 for shipping when most other places it costs half as much.

The summer dresses I purchased are all very stitched and poor fabric. 80$ a dress I would expect something last longer than one wash. Compare the clothing life span I would say this is a very expensive brand. 160$ you can purchase better brand with better material and last over years. Thumbs down to this brand and I would not consider buy it anymore

Altar'd State has such pretty jewelry and I really like their dresses - also the store near me is so beautiful to walk around in. I will say that their stuff is on the pricey side but it is super cute. Very versatile age range - lots of different styles/cuts of dresses and different kinds of merchandise.

Walked into the store thinking it had good clothes and decent prices. Found something, but when it came time to checkout they had only one cash register open, which is fine if you don’t have too many customers. However there were 4 people in line behind who was being checked out and had a lot of things. The sales associate behind the cash register was walking around the store for the customer because they weren’t even done shopping. When I asked for another cash register to be opened, they helped the person infront of me, but when it came my turn, the Store Manager came in and told me I had to wait. I was waiting already for over 20 minutes and decided to leave. Never coming back.

The clothes are really hit or miss, some of them are not very well made or fit poorly. Others are amazing and last years.
I have an hourglass figure and some of the clothes just don't seem to hang right on me, so I have to shop in store. It would be nice to see more modest clothes that I could wear to church made to fit bodies with curves.
They do offer some great sales, though. :)

i ordered some clothes one month ago and it still says it’s processing the order. it hasn’t even shipped yet and i ordered it a month ago

I am trying to place an order. Left a message with customer service because you can't get a live person. They say for a quick response email or chat. I sent a chat. It has been going on 3 hours with no response. I called the local store and they can't help and said they have been given no training on how to respond or help with an online question. They are have a program to sign up for where you get free shipping and a few other perks but when ordering online it never works. Only in the store. I am so disappointed this lack of service. It is a busy season. You should be prepared for it.
