First order, sizing was a bit small so no biggie. Return was easy via website. Tho the garment I wanted didn't come up as exchange. Emailed and was told due to warehouse situation but would do manually. Was told to email once posted to expedite, didn't happen. Waited 1 wk then emailed why. Apologies then received it a few days after. Argh, item too big! So contacted again. Told again to email after posting. Didn't help. Waited 10 days and sent 2 emails to ask? Then finally got sent an image. Returned item has ink on it so not exchangeable. Weird as I just tried on at home in bedroom, I don't write as disabled. Anyway wouldn't have returned if it's unsellable, that's wrong. Explained this and kindly told I could get the smaller size. Waited another 6 days and emailed where was it. Apologized and said it was missed but will be coming. A few days later finally it got here.

I don't have ill will to the staff. Genuinely they may be trying their best and always came across as professional and polite. But I can imagine if the company has understaffed and overworked a few eager to get into the fashion game/a job, and potentially it not a good work environment. That being said, having to nurse and wait for this transaction through 15 emails over a month period wasn't my cup of tea.

I am sorry I didn't check other reviews before I spent my money here. Sadly after all that, I just don't want clothes that badly to go for another round buying here....

I purchased 2x shirts online from the BHODE website back in April. BHODE & Urban Excess & Article appear to all be the same company.
The shirts arrived, but were too small for me.I had a mail exchange with Chris at BHODE about returning them & exchanging for XL versions instead. I arranged & paid for the return myself as I was told they do not have a returns service in Ireland. The return was delivered to the warehouse on 27 Apr 2026. Since then, nobody has responded to my emails. I sent 6x follow up emails over the course of the last month & have received no replies. I DM'd Bhode & Urban Excess & Article on Instagram & have gotten no response.
This has been a horrible customer experience. Really frustrating as I actually really like the shirts. They just were too small for me.
I am out of pocket over €200 & they have the shirts back.
Do not order from this company.

I did not purchased anything from the site directly. I belive this site (article-london.com) is connected to urbanexcess.com.

Both are the same fake sites. They pump you for your money and you won't get anything.

Do not buy Bhode products. They stole my money

Great clothes and website but unfortunately that’s where it ends. Ordered gifts for my son’s birthday end of November. Courier company DHL delivered to a completely different postcode to that of mine and instead of the seller contacting DHL to resolve they did nothing and as it stands to date I’m £283 out of pocket with no goods received. After several back and forth emails they’ve just gone to ground and ignored me saying nothing they can do. It could have easily been resolved if they’d got the courier company to collect and redeliver or made a claim back as they had delivered to a completely different postcode. They did suggest I go looking for the parcel which I declined. Now having to raise charge back with my bank. Really disappointed with Zack’s response and lack of assistance. It’s a real shame as they do some great clothes but sadly the courier company and lack of customer service has let them down.

After reading all the reviews, I saw that things had gone wrong pretty quickly when ordering online... more so, with regards to returns.
The 15% discount was tempting though and nowhere else had what I wanted in stock, online or in store.

The item turned up on time with next day delivery (the right size and the right colour).

No complaints at all from me.

Have been waiting a month for a refund - this store is a total joke.

Bought a £100 top from them in blue. However, they sent me a green one. The blue one is now sold out. What a bunch of ...
Now they expect me to pay to send it back!!

I've had a really poor experience with Article London. I ordered a pair of trousers and they did not fit so I requested to return them. The return portal does not work and you have to chase them for the returns slip. Once returning the item through tracked postage, they don't reply to you for weeks (longer than their refund policy states). I've chased customer services twice and they ghost you.

Also don't believe the recent positive reviews. They're written by people who've wrote 1 review and they're overly descriptive and AI generated.

Overall it's been a terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Although they have enticing sales and well priced clothing, the hassle is not worth it.

I think all the recent reviews are likely fake. They’re all written by people who have only posted 1 review and they go overboard on naming brands. I bought a jacket, paid premium postage, no sign of it and no response to emails.

Their menswear heritage is fantastic. I bought a Vetra jacket and some Nudie jeans from this site — both will last for years to come while always looking good. But the quality pops right out. New UK next-day delivery for orders means slots are arranged to felt like very easy shopping.

Avoid this retailer...Customer service is non existent. Returned items and receipt was confirmed by retailer. Refund was not issued and communication was not returned. I have had to claim via paypal.

THE WORST, FRAUD EVEN.

The first parcel never reached me. The second one wasn't shipped DDP and now they pretend the parcel was never returned even though the DHL tracking states so and they try to charge me.

Do not order from Article - Non existent customer service, impossible to process a return. First and last time shopping there.

Horrendous, sent wrong size, then sent wrong size again. Customer services appalling. Used once never again!

I wish I had read the reviews before I had made an order. I ordered an item which came quite quickly, however the item I received was not as described. The measurements on the website are a joke. I ordered an XL and received an item that wouldn't fit an anorexic child. I returned the order to them, and these thieves are requesting I pay £8.99 in postage for a poor quality, misrepresented item I don't have. The only bonus is I ordered through klarna as I usually do for new companies, I deal with. So they're going to have to wait for the payment.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Truly awful experience. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE. They took over 2 weeks to ship my order, then shipped it to the wrong address, then tried to tell me it was my responsibility to return the package to them. I reported them to AMEX and got my money back.
