It was very easy and they helped me every step of the way.

I strongly advise anyone considering this loan program to look elsewhere. Despite their heavy advertising of "no hidden fees" and "competitive rates," my experience has been the exact opposite.

I applied for this program through a bootcamp recommendation, specifically drawn in by the "no payments for 12 months" offer. What they conveniently fail to mention and what no one tells you during the sign-up process is that you are still accruing and paying interest during those 12 months. Calling this a "no payment" period is intentionally misleading.

Hidden Costs: The fees are astronomical and far from what was advertised.($500 processing fee)

Do not trust the marketing. Read the fine print twice, or better yet, find someone that actually practices transparency. This has been a massive headache. Avoid at all costs.

You honored your word and nowhere to get zero interest loan with room to decide when to start repayment

Applied for a college loan and the whole process was easy to understand and a breeze to get by. There was a delay from my schools side to send documents needed to disburse payment but Ascent loan called me and explained that they have been reaching out to the school but haven’t gotten a response back. The online portal keeps you up to date as to which step your application is on now. They made the whole process simple and the communication was A+ would definitely use them again.

Never again. Will i borrow from this loan company. Their interest rate is outrageous. It's a no and a zero for me.

When getting this personal student loan, we did not know that it had to go through the school for them to approve it and we were limited. We considered this as a personal loan used for a student. Basically this Loan will help him get by for 1 to 2 months and then we’re back in the same boat again of him needing money. Thankfully, he has been able to get a job now that other students are leaving the area.

Predatory lending. Avant school doesn't even put you in a better position. You go back to freelancing and your loan skyrockets after graduation. The school doesn't care because they've been paid by the bank (Ascent Funding), so their hands are washed. In contrast to another school and field I attended a while back, they had job boards and got me into better positions. Hard times make your interest rates higher. You can show proof that you don't make what you did before school, and you will still get screwed and not able to afford payments and livelihood. They will just raise the payment and interest and not work out anything feasible. Avoid at all costs.

The loan help me to pay rent every month and pay gaz for my car.
