Working hard and tough time also never forgotten the past

I invested in their loans through Viventor platfrom. Later the Dutch holding Lotus 597 B.V - who is part of the Gielen Group - acquired the platfrom which created a huge conflict of interest. Atlantis Financiers loans had the best rating even when there were the first signs of problem. Later they stopped repaying the loans. In the last update to investors (in February) they basically said that they will repay only a small fraction of the outstanding balance because they decided to sell the whole portfolio. Investors had no say in the whole process and from the beginning there is no transparency in the whole process. After that no new updates arrived and also no repayments.

Obviously, having Atlantis Financiers as both owners of Viventor and a company that uses the portal to get financing for their loans was too much of temptation, so they started taking advantage of the situation - and the investors on Viventor - BIG time!

Firstly, after Atlantis Financiers bought Viventor they extended all loans held by themselves that they were supposed to repay to the original lenders. So, investors could see their expected payments simply disappear as the company gave itself (!) ectension after extension after extension... I am currently 2.500 EUROs in the hole and that debt has graciously been extended for years beyond the original repayment time. I can't even see how long of an extension they've given themselves. Not that that matters, they'll just extend the loan again when it's time to repay anew.

Now, the latest trick they've come up with is to claim that COVID hit the Netherlands so hard that they cannot possibly get the money back that they lent (with investor backing) to Ducth citizens and companies. Therefor investors will have to settle for a reduced amount for the loans.

What's really happening here? I'll tell you. Atlantis Financiers are buying back those loans for pennies on the dollar, either directly or through a shell company.

I hope I can refuse to be bought out of these loans because I don't for one second buy that COVID means that every loan given in the Netherlands is now somehow worthless.

Atlantis Financiers has not been paying back investors for several months now.
Invoice loans are being extended without any expectation of end term.
Loans that arrived to maturity are placed into Funds in transit category for months (more than 2 now) and are not repaid to legitimate owners. There is as well no communication from AF on what to expect from them regarding invested funds.

It's 2020, Covid year, it's true. But:
* it's not an excuse for not communicating properly
* it's not an excuse for not paying back debts or at least for renegotiating the terms with clear expectations.

As of now, investing in AF is for Donation only.
