I will not trash the site for a business model I do not understand. I want to use bandmix to find a band or soon-to-be-band, but I don't get the pricing. I do not want to pay monthly once I find my future band to play with and I sure as heck do not want to work with a band that is looking for new members each month. I cannot email them or -vs- them me, but I do not think I need a whole 30day ++ of payments to connect us. I could see $10 and you are done, or something but I dred signing up for a monthly.

band mix helped me sift through a lot of flakey start up bands & lonely musicians wanting to jam in their garage & actually get to work gigging.

Bandmix blatantly LIED about removing an account and information from their website. As soon as they were notified that a Report had been filed against them, they immediately responded that it was removed. What bandmix support doesn't realize is that there is real time tracking from the time it was still showing up online to the time they responded to the report that was filed against them and the account "magically disappeared". Band Mix should be gone.

Ich Meldete mich ahnungslos in Bandmix an und bin schon seit 4 Wochen Mitglied. Ich wollte auf einer Anzeige gehen, der jemanden sucht aber direkt danach wurde eine Bezahloption mit 3 Verschiedenen Beiträgen angezeigt, anstatt das ich diesen Musiker kontaktieren konnte. Das ist ein No Go...... ich wusste das anfangs gar nicht weil ich mich ja kostenlos registrieren konnte und meldete mich bei Bandmix ahnungslos an aber dann kommt prompt so eine Bezahloption für nichts.

Soviel zu Bandmix und ich wunderte mich schon warum nie eine einzige Nachricht kam.

Ich kenne diesen Verein so nicht und gehe dann doch lieber wieder über zu anderen Möglichkeiten wie eBay-Kleinanzeigen etc.

Ich bezahle ja schon, mehr als genug an Internetgebühren und was weiß ich, da muss ich nicht noch für Sachen bezahlen wo nichts dabei rauskommt.

It’s a great tool to meet other musicians.

But getting a response from other musicians to inquiries is inexplicably rare. I suggested to Bandmix that they emphasize to members the importance of responding — pro or con. It doesn't need to be harder than dating.

Band mix was really easy to navigate and I was able to express exactly the kind of musician I needed for my band. I really appreciate that band mix seeks musicians that could be potential fits for our needs. I like the fact that I can message a musician and that I can also have the opportunity to hear what they truly sound like if the musician is able to provide a music file.

Be prepared for lots of people that may not answer, be real or even bothered. Most people on there don't even have a demo of their playing or a picture even. This really should be mandatory! How can I know who's worth approaching if there's no evidence of ever having played in a band? It's amazing how many class themselves as advanced or expert with no evidence whatsoever. You'll also have to spend on a monthly subscription to directly contact anyone. Seems more like a waste of time to me and lots are on the site for no real reason.
I believe a strike policy should exist. Fail to answer more than 3 contacts and instant account deactivation. It's not too much to ask of people even it's just to say, "no thanks." Guess some are so great a musician they think it beneath them.
Don't pay for it. You'll find it's largely a waste of time and effort.

Greatest service for musicians - I used BandMix in NY for years and now in SC. Put a killer lineup together in just a few months. Strongly recommend!

Bandmix is a great place to find more committed musicians than on say...Craigslist or other FB Musician sites.
There are plenty of musicians in just about every genre.

This is a really easy safe way to connect with other musicians.

The concept of Bandmix is commendable, but the reality is that people who express their desire to play instruments, or perform as a vocalist, will not respond to your invitation to meet and audition. Though a few do respond, they'll claim they will not be able to commit to an audition, much less join a band. Another aspect of this service is their grouping members as being within your zip code, but they live in different cities--some towns as far as 50 miles away. The music business is notoriously populated with snobs, flakes, Hired Guns, and individuals with bad habits. Unfortunately, many of these Bandmix advertisers have a bad habit of ignoring your invitations.

My first stretch of a few months didn't result in success (just some auditions), for my *second* stretch of a few months brought us a dynamite front-woman keyboardist. I'll re-join when/if needed.

Ich habe mich auf ein BANDMIX Jahres ABO eingelassen. Nach zwei Kontaktversuchen zu anderen Musikern habe ich gemerkt, weshalb ich BANDMIX in der Vergangenheit gekündigt habe. Es kommen keine Antworten und die vorgeschlagenen Musiker sind oft längst nicht mehr aktiv. Nun wollte ich von meinem Widerrufsrecht Gebrauch machen. Echo Media verweigert sich. Jetzt habe ich Druck aufgebaut und erwarte eine einvernehmliche Einigung. Vermutlich muss ich neben der Anzeige in der Verbraucherzentrale auch eine Strafanzeige wegen Betrugsversuchs stellen. Ich rate jetzt schon mal von BANDMIX ab.

I have been using Bandmix on and off for years, whenever we have found ourselves in need of a new musician/singer. I only wish they would designate which profiles are "dormant" and which are presently active. A LOT of time is wasted contacting people who are no longer interested in being in a band....possibly because they already found someone on bandmix.

STAY AWAY! This app is run by very shady folks - there are multiple complaints lodged with the BBB about the renewal policy.

My personal experiance - I canceled my acount as the product was not particularly helpful after a year - Bandmix still charged me the 100 dollar yearly fee. When I reached out to support the promised to reverse the charge. They never did and shortly thereafter made it impossible for me to access my acount and have refused to answer emails.

So in summary - they charged me for the year and then refused to provide service and did not return my emails. It is also worth noting that their phone number is bunk and doesn't work.

Do yourself a favor and skip this app.

Populated by dreamers, been a member for over 10 years, increasingly frustrated by lack of response from other premium members. Why advertise and put yourself out there if you can't be bothered to respond to interested parties??
Potentially a great platform, could be made even better if the site followed up on enquiries made to members, after all , if they don't respond not a good look for the site, hence this review.

In addition, the site could make it easier for seekers and searchers by simplifying the search criteria. All too often an advertiser can be seen as wanting the list of all musicians, clearly they did not read/understand the criteria.

Well I thought the site was very well done and very informative unfortunately many of the dedicated musicians on the sites aren't very dedicated. Got a lot of "run around" from many of the people, and very low interest in actually being a serious musicians.
