Gavin was very friendly which made the whole process very easy. Luckily, we had started on the right track with our Puppy but there were still items we could improve on. We were left with a list of actions and the instruction given means we are confident in what needs to be done.

We had a great experience with Emma. Our dog Stanley has taken well to all her tips and we’re getting there with our training plan.

The chat we had was very informative. I feel confident that I will be able to carry through the instructions.

I was having problems with my dog Alfie for instance constant barking at visitors coming to the home and making the experience really stressful for everyone, protective over people in the home and barking at anyone that came near, and I didn’t seem to have any control. Sarah came along and talked to me about having a better relationship with Alfie and basically educating me to have control so Alfie can start to respect me and listen to me which he hasn’t been doing previously. After about 3 hours he was a different dog! Even in that short time there was such a difference in him and I know that moving forward the training and consistency is going to make such a difference for Alfie and everyone else. Sarah is so knowledgeable and knows exactly what she is doing and made me feel that actually with persistence Alfie will change. I’m looking forward to our next session with Sarah.

All my dogs were relaxed and comfortable around him and it was like he'd seen them loads of times before. My rescue seem to be at ease aswell around him.

There was a lot to take in but it was well paced. Sydney gave us a different perspective on our dog’s behaviour and diet, and took her time to demonstrate effective ways to improve training. Has only been a day but we already feel there’s been an improvement. Recommended!

Gavin was an amiable instructor so really took the time to get to know us and our dog. His guidance enabled us to address our dog’s barking issues almost overnight. It was almost miraculous.

Sarah came out on a walk with us and was very helpful with her training so Daisy could overcome her fear of noise. She has helped with the barking and I would say we were almost there such a relief as any noise in the garden and she would bark. Also we have changed her diet and that has helped also with her anxiety and we know now she is getting the correct nutrition.

I’m very disappointed with this puppy training package and feel it has been a waste of money.

What was sold as ongoing support turned out to be very limited. After the first session, there was little willingness to continue with home visits, even though that was part of what we believed we had paid for. The personalised training plan promised on the website never arrived either. Instead, we were sent generic emails with basic advice that felt little different from what you could find online for free.

The way the package is sold also feels misleading. You choose a package, pay a deposit, and once the contract starts your money is tied up. Unless you chase them, they do not seem to contact you. They offer dates, and if you cannot do them, that is basically the end of it. There is very little flexibility or real support.

The first session was useful in parts, mainly for feeding and basic puppy guidance, but after that the service dropped off. When I asked about follow-up support, I never got a clear answer. Later, when I asked for help with lead walking, the advice was to just keep trying on our own. For £500, that was nowhere near good enough.

Based on our experience, I would not use them again and would not recommend them to others.

Lynn was very helpful and really gave me some fantastic advice.
I’m going to work with the tools she gave me to improve the behaviour of my dogs.
She was very firm and had them in the palm of her hand very quickly

We have a difficult case. We have two rescue dogs, both girls, both 6y, both Frenchies, but one of them we adopted when she was already 3y and she's set in her ways. She's a dominant dog. She marks territory, she treats all other dogs outdoors as threats and she's forceful pulling and pushing, and she can get out of any given collar or harness, even the special training harness which is attached to a collar. They should have named her Houdini instead of Isabella. But thanks to Emma and Bark Busters we can now take her for walks safely and confident that she won't cause an incident with other dogs, or an accident on the road. Walkies are once more enjoyable, as they should be. Emma taught us strategies, and ways to stop/prevent bad behaviour. And the improvement was from one day to another. I am glad we chose Bark Busters

The trainer lynn was excellent I could see some results by the time she left and she has given me some great advice so glad I used them 6 stars from me

Had our fist session with Gavin yesterday, as we have been having a few issues with our older dog. Gavin was patient, listened and explained things clearly. Then change on the first visit has been amazing for us and most importantly our dogs. We know we aren't out of the woods yet but we are on a very promising start thanks to Gavin.

A waste of £600 dog still barking more than ever a waste of time and money no contact with us at all to see how we was getting on would not recommend to anyone

Zero stars for Barkbusters UK (Coventry trainer).
TLDR: The trainer had decided what was best for my dog before meeting him and couldn't adapt to the dog actually in front of her and our situation. Outdated methods including choke collars and metal chain "pillows" to throw to enforce fear.

We were told in the first email to ensure our dog was in another room so we could chat first, which is fine. She then proceeded to give us 90 minutes of advice about aggression, without ever meeting the dog, and didn't hear our protests when we were trying to tell her what was actually the problem (not aggression).
When we finally took the dog outside, she took the lead and allowed our dog to wander into a road multiple times.
After the session, I received 14 different emails with various documents which was entirely overwhelming, and a succinct summary of clear key points would have been more practical.
As we had paid for the year support, we requested our next session on resource guarding. When she arrived, she launched into a repeat of the last session and only answered questions on resource guarding on the final minute before leaving for her next client. She then sent the worst lesson notes I have ever seen, including fabricated conversations that never happened. When I responded with a factual account of the lesson, she decided she would not be returning.

Barkbusters uses outdated methods, including a half choke collar, water bottle sprays, and a "bark busters pillow" consisting of a metal chain inside some fabric that the dog is "supposed to become afraid of". That.is.not.training.

I was lucky and received my money back given she refused to return. Don't waste your time or your money and book a more reputable trainer. In the month since the trainer left, I'm pleased to report that without her, we have played fun reward based games, have a wonderful relationship and focus on walks, and all based on alternative methods to bark busters. We have recently got a 10 month old Dachshund Teddy. He was suffering from a lot of stress and anxiety from the change of people and surroundings, and we were struggling with his behaviour. Bark Busters were able to arrange a home visit at a time/ date that suited us. Gina, was very knowledgeable and understood the issues we were having. She explained the reasons for Teddy’s behaviour, and took us through what we needed to do to achieve the desired results. We have been following the methods Gina showed us and are seeing positive results. I feel that carrying out the training at home is better for us and Teddy, as opposed to attending classes. I would definitely recommend Gina and Bark Busters.

It was great to meet up with Gavin for our introductory session. He was friendly and reassuring and so knowledgeable. He has given me the encouragement that I need in regard to my two nine month old Border Collie puppies. I was feeling quite hopeless and was amazed at what we were able to achieve after just the first few hours of advice and demonstration. I now feel inspired and confident to take things forward myself and I’m looking forward to havingthe pleasure of owning two well-behaved dogs!

Sydney was spot on with her training and gave us much more confidence with the training. The diet plan for the dog is also going really well and he loves his new food. His coat is looking a lot better too.
