If it is finally determined that the battery had a manufacturing defect, a new battery will be sent to you at no cost to you, with no option to refund the amount and the €20 plus VAT paid to start the warranty processing will be returned to you, in the event that you had chosen that option and paid that amount. If, on the other hand, it is determined that the battery does not have a manufacturing defect, the user must bear all the costs generated by the management of the warranty (round-trip transport costs, charging and checking costs, etc.). These costs are valued at a minimum of €45 plus VAT for the Peninsula, €75 plus VAT for the Balearic Islands and Portugal. For other locations, please contact us. From these costs, the amount of €20 plus VAT will be deducted if they were paid to start the warranty process. Finally, if these costs are not paid, once 15 days have passed since the end of the inspection, a daily cost of €5 + VAT will be generated and after one month, the battery will be recycled.

Para tramitar la garantía es necesario recibir la batería y realizar las comprobaciones oportunas por un distribuidor autorizado. Para ello tiene la opción de enviar la batería a la dirección que nuestro departamento de atención al cliente le indique, o abonar una cantidad de 20€ más IVA para cubrir el transporte de la batería. Si finalmente se determinara que la batería tenía un defecto de fabricación, se le enviará una batería nueva sin coste para usted, sin que haya opción a la devolución del importe y se le devolverían los 20€ más IVA pagados para iniciar el proceso de tramitación de garantía, en el caso de que hubiera optado por esa opción y pagado dicha cantidad. Si, por el contrario, se determinara, que la batería no tiene un defecto de fabricación el usuario deberá de correr con todos los gastos generados por la gestión de la garantía (costes de transporte de ida y vuelta, gastos de carga y comprobación, etc...). Estos gastos se tasan en un mínimo de 45€ más IVA para Península, 75€ más IVA para Baleares y Portugal. Para el resto de ubicaciones, consúltenos. De estos gastos, se descontaría la cantidad de 20€ más IVA en el caso de que los hubiera abonado para iniciar el proceso de garantía. Por último, si no se abonaran dichos gastos, una vez pasados 15 días desde el fin de la comprobación, se generarán unos gastos diarios de 5€+IVA y pasado un mes, se procederá a reciclar la batería.

I wish that I had read these reviews before ordering. My experience appears to be the norm with this company. I paid for priority shipping. There were no indications that the batteries were out of stock or that there would be any trouble with my order. It has been a week and my order still says "Unfulfilled" on the website, but of course they charged my card immediately. I emailed "customer service" but have gotten no response. If you decide to order from them, keep your expectations extremely low.

Very very bad customer service - 2 months late with a backorder of AA Alkalines...when they finally arrived they were thrown into two plastic bags with no packaging and THEY WERE LEAKING! Called customer service - they said no returns because the origional order was placed more than 45 days prior! Will not respond to emails. These guys continue to be in business only because they own the name batteries.com.
