Bearded Bros Removals Reviews 

After a recommendation from a good friend of mine I was very pleased with the service I got from the Bearded Bros on what was a difficult task moving some quite large items from one Town House to another. I thought their lads worked extremely hard and took great care. Definitely would now highly recommend.

Read before proceeding to this company and their awful treatment and resolution.

My husband has already left a review, and we would like to correct some of the responses see below addressing their points.

Hi Scott,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

We are sincerely sorry for the damage caused to your dining room table, which was caused by one of our employees falling over in your home. However, we have tried to make every effort to replace the damaged marble table top.

Response: he didn’t fall he dropped it which is a lie.

As we knew this was a valuable item, we instantly referred this to our liability providers and asked them to act swiftly. However, 5 weeks later, this is still an ongoing matter due to you refusing any offer that has been made to you.

Response; 5 weeks later as you didn’t case manage this and left us to deal with the insurance company and barker and stonehouse directly straight away, shall I screen shot this? Still outstanding as I type.

So far you have been offered two resolutions;

1) A brand new table top cut to the exact size of the current one and using the highest grade marble. This would have been completed by a highly regarded stone company.

Answer: this was refused as we have the existing legs for the table you broke so it would sit upon that and it would have voided the warranty or break the legs if it was to heavy or unsuitable, is this a good enough reason?

2) We found you the exact same table in Barker & Stonehouse, however, this was refused on the basis "it's an ex-display and someone else may have sat at it".

Response: complete lies, we never said that ever, and we were rightly upset you are trying to replace a table with an ex display with no returns on it, the ex display is placed up in guildford without us driving to see if we only had the insurance word it was in good condition, this is not acceptable, the facts are you offered us 3k to buy this ex display directly so you could close our case which could mean we are left with a faulty damaged table potentially with no right to return. You broke a new table delivered in feb 24, unused until you took it into storage in the summer 24. So brand new, so you should be replacing the table as new like the one you broke! Very simple in everyone’s eyes.

Whilst I appreciate that this is an ex-display item and that there was slight damage to the table legs, we only needed to replace the marble top section. We could still use the original legs from your existing table, as these were not damaged in the accident - after speaking with Barker & Stonehouse, they confirmed that the top was in 'as new condition' and would have been a perfect match.

RP: what reassurance do we have from you, If it comes damaged on delivery?

Also, I note that you have mentioned our maximum cover is only up to £5,000 value, unfortunately, this comment is incorrect. On your inventory form you placed the table value at £7,500, however, upon being asked for proof of purchase, the actual price you purchased the table for was £5,000 - of course, our providers would never pay out more than you originally paid for the table.

Response:
Again a lie, the table is 6k which we stated, the reason we paid less is I'm an interior designer and got a trade discount on the item. The item still remains new just under 6k so that is what you should be purchasing. Not offering us 3k for a ex display table with no returns so you can close our case.

Again, I'm really sorry that this has happened. We carry out around 200 moves a month and accidents like this are very rare occurrences. We stand by the fact that we have tried to resolve this as quickly and fairly as possible for you, but we have been met with hurdles on each occasion.

Response: we appreciate accidents happen, which is why we were more concerned about your employee rather then our table but your lack of compassion and lies are frankly unacceptable, now it becomes clear why the guy was worried about his job when he dropped the table. Your company on this experience have dealt with this awfully.

Lastly, as per the terms & conditions you signed before you paid your deposit and the job taking place, you have not purchased an insurance product. You purchased standard liability which only covers you for a like-for-like replacement or repair, not new for old. You agreed to these terms and asked us to proceed with the booking.

Response: if it’s like for like we will settle this with this further action as we gave you a new table to look after and deliver back and you have come back with a substandard offer to sort.

I'm sorry that this has happened and I can only apologise that you are not satisfied with the outcome. We wish you all the best in the future.

Response: my future right now is still sorting your mess out, speaking to barker and stonehouse to get a damaged table so your sorry is another lie.

Great service again from Bearded Bros. This is the third time I have moved with them and once again nothing was too much trouble. We moved over a couple of days and Blake and Dan were there both days and other lads as well. Everyone was ultra helpful. I will not be going anywhere else when we need to move again.

this was an excellent moving experience, two men and a luton van moving to a 3rd floor flat with no lift.The move was carried out with great care and efficiency and all items placed where I wanted them by the courteous and respectful gentlemen. I would definitely recommend and use Bearded Brothers again.

The movers were fantastic, friendly, quick and efficient.

AVOID IF YOU HAVE VALUABLES!

we used Bearded Bros removal and storage services whilst we had a house renovation.

When our goods were returned our £6k marble dining table was dropped and cracked.

After dealing with their insurers it comes clear that the maximum cover regardless is £5k and will only replace with used/old.

So we now have to get an ex display, slightly damaged table to replace our brand new.

Absolute shambles, amateurs with insurance that’s not worth the paper it’s written on.

bearded bros response is a complete lie, it’s taken 5 weeks due to their incompetence and us having to do the running around speaking to their insurer and help find the replacement.

Lazy, like their management and staff.

The guys moving us were great . Calm , efficient and really helpful . They made a stressful time a lot easier , which is exactly what you want from a removal company . I will definitely use Bearded Bros again.

I used Bearded Bros to move from Hove to SE London, and have nothing but positives to say about the experience.

This was my first time using a professional moving company, and the lads made what could have been a stressful day as worry-free as possible - even though their van broke down just as we were about to head off, this was resolved very quickly and did not inconvenience us at all.

I was impressed by how quickly they carried out the removal aspect of the move (including disassembly of a double bed), and I especially appreciated their patience and efficiency as they first moved my belongings into one storage unit, then upon me realising it was too small to fit everything, they then unpacked it and helped move everything into a larger one. I also found the cost to be very reasonable, especially given the distance of the move. Many thanks again for your help, will be sure to recommend your services!

This was the most caring and stress-free move ever. The Bearded Bros were communicative, caring and efficient from start to finish, looking after treasured possessions with piles of blankets, asking all the right questions and generally being reliable and responsible. Highly recommend. Thanks BBs!

The guys who helped with the move were efficient and friendly. Very polite and took instructions well. I use Bearded Bros every time I need things moved or need people to help with heavier items moved around a property.

This is the second time I have used Bearded Bros and they are so very helpful and keep the process as stress free as it can be given how daunting a move actually is!

I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Bearded Bros moved us from Brighton to Plymouth, and they were professional, kind, extremely efficient and just lovely people. Really made what could have been a very stressful experience much easier for us, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in future.

The men were polite, calm and quiet and I will forever be grateful to them for working out that they could lower my sofa through the window when it wouldn't fit down the stairs.
