Purchased a tshirt on Belk.com, and when I went to return it, both the website and confirmation email stated my return should be approx. $18 (after being forced to pay for their outrageous return shipping label.) My refund only ended up being $7 because they decided, after the fact, to use a different total amount in their equation rather than the one they indicated on the website and in their confirmation email. Contacted them several times and asked to make it right, but they refused to budge. Do not recommend!!!

I made a purchase for Vince camuto wedges to have them shipped was $67.64 to include the $10.95 shipping fee which is crazy! I received them they did fit I returned them having to pay another shipping cost of $12.95 my total return for the shoe is $42.91 for a shoe that I don’t have I still ended up giving the company $23.90!!! Do better BELK I will never purchase anything else and I would advise anyone else not to oh and I failed to mention I DL their app and was charged $51.95 by Apple for a supposedly subscription
Bad business
Placed an online order for 3 items paid $35 extra for 2 day shipping. While I received 1 item on time, I'm being told the other 2 items will be delivered on Monday April 7th which is beyond the time I needed the items and well past the 2 day shipping. This is such an inconvenience and bad business. While the young lady I spoke with was helpful and provided me a refund the entire order serves me no purpose because it would have been needed prior to the late delivery date, So all items will be returned and I am done with Belk!
Bad Company with bad customer service
Bad Company with bad customer service. Their data was breached in March of 2026. My email address turned up on the dark web. Called their customer service. I was told they are getting hundreds of these calls but they were not breached, HMMMM! Why would they suddenly get hundreds of these calls if they were not breached. Asked to close my account and delete all my info. I t will take 10 days was the answer. Horrible place, don't open an account or buy from them.
Fraudulent promo
We were asked if we wanted to open an account and receive a $50 credit, never received. Numerous calls to Belk and Sychrony, emails that did nothing. Synchrony said they never heard of the promotion. Mgr on duty at Cape Coral Surfside store was totally useless. We will NEVER shop at Belk again.
Poor Mgmt
While my time at Belk has concluded, I feel it is necessary to state that the current leadership /management style was the primary driver for my departure. While my level of education should have put me in a higher position within the store but it was never mentioned or considered. The lack of respect by the manager(s) for each employee differs depending on your position and how close you are with the current manager, Linda Colson. Accusations of misconduct, complaints that were never reported to me by Colson on dates I wasn’t in the store, and the continued harassment by Colson made it difficult to go into the store each day, knowing she would be there. Her lack of genuine support has made it impossible to recommend this organization as a viable place of employment to anyone seeking work in a retail environment.

Online ordering is terrible
The online ordering process is horrible. I was never given the sale price posted on the belk website. As soon as I added it to my cart, the price changed to full price. I went through entire process to the point of “place order” and no sale price. Why even have a sale if you don’t honor that price??
Haven’t received what I ordered
Haven’t received what I ordered. Can’t get a tracking number. I’m already disappointed with the quality of customer service. Three different people and answers. I’m not going to accept the order it will be returned immediately. They need to get their act together. Never again! I don’t go back and forth with people. They definitely got the wrong customer. I can spend my money where I don’t have to play tag. I’m too old for the nonsense!

I bought a dress from Belk for a function and paid for express shipping. I should have received the dress on Friday to wear to the function on Saturday. On Friday, when I called, the item label was created but not yet shipped. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ONLINE FROM BELK. This is the second time this has happened!
Great customer service
Great customer service. I had an order with a missing package, due to the shipping delivery company losing the package. Belk reshipped my order immediately, so I could receive my package as soon as possible and I received it very quickly.
Worst experience ever!!
Worst experience ever!!! I ordered 6 Plain White Van Heusen Slim Fit shirts. I have received so far 4 White (with Red Imprints - NOT plain white) and 1 Plain White Regular Fit (I ordered Slim Fit). I have had to take each item into the local store, where the nice woman helping me exchange them there said this happens ALL THE TIME with people not getting what they properly ordered.
I will never order from Belk online again. Once I receive the last shirt by delivery and exchange it at the local store. They will never get another order from me!
To note, in the same week I also ordered 2 pair of pants from Target, and I received the correct type, color, and size with ZERO issues. Everything from that store came to me exactly as ordered.

They sent the wrong product, never replaced it and charged us shipping shipping fees. The product was not even the same brand as a what we ordered. Can't see why we would have to pay shipping charges. After numerous complaints, waits on the telephone we were told that we would be receiving a gift card. Never received it and when we wrote back again got the run around. Finally got a letter of apologizing and how improved that they were going to be in the future with their learning experience from our order and they offered us 15% off our next online order. This is not happening. Never dealing with this company again.

Belk does not value their customers
Update on March 16: After extensive communication, and a promise that Belk would have a Manager contact me in 3-5 days, on Day 8, I received an email, not a phone call as promised (of course), that they would give me an update "as soon as they can". So now Belk not only doesn't provide the products that they post for sale, they take your money, delay, delay, delay, and then don't even honor their word on the customer service follow up. They did not refund me, so I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I am also closing my Belk credit card. I am done with this company.
I ordered a necklace on Feb. 15, and as of March 2, after receiving a tracking number and being unable to track the shipment, Belk's go-to response is to offer me a refund or advise me to direct them to reorder the necklace so the shipment will be triggered again. Upon asking them if they could expedite shipping to get the necklace here by rhe date the advertisement originally listed, they initially said that wasn't possible. Instead, they seemingly would rather drive their customers to frustration than provide a standard level of customer service that any other competitor of theirs offers (which is to escalate and resolve.)
After following up with them about my dissatisfaction with that answer, only then did they willingly offer to expedite shipping IF I cancel and reorder, but I refused because why would I do that when they can't figure out what happened to my current order.
I will never purchase another item from their store after this experience, neither in the store nor online.
Shoddy Merchandise
Purchased a deluxe, Egyptian cotton mattress pad. Manuf Instructions indicated to pre-launder, which I did. Mattress turned yellow. Belk is refusing to credit or refund $116.00 I paid. Customer Service "supervisor" Aramis said he did not have a boss and was the final word on the refund. Asked for a referral to corporate office and got another excuse. Been shopping with Belk for years and the merchandise is increasingly bottom quality. Only concern now is getting your resources without recourse.

I made a online order for three pairs of shoes after reading the review of one pair, I wanted to cancel the order for that pair of shoes, but didn't know I only had a 30-minute window to cancel after making a purchase online at Belks.I called and I was told that I could ship them back and they would send me a label well I attached the label took it to the post office and they wanted to charge me $12.05 to send them back. And I might add that the shoes were used, smelled horrible an dirty. I've lost trust in continuing to order online with Belks.
