Worst furniture experience of my life. Ordered a $1600 Umbrella sofa; first one arrived with a hole, loose strings and plastic material sewn into cushions. Delivery team mentioned it was the second one of the day and poor quality is a normal course. Replacement sofa arrived in better shape, however delivery people smashed my brand new ceiling on the way out. B&P accept no responsibility for repair, pushing it down to delivery company. Sub contracted delivery company expects the customer to obtain repair estimates for their approval and refuse to send an insurance adjuster to assess damage. Buyer beware of shoddy quality and a repair nightmare should you have damage to your home at time of delivery. Stick with Jordan's if you want it done right.

I purchased a dining set from B&P’s along with a service warranty. My wife spilled a couple of ounces of water from a flower vase which was wiped up immediately. The next day the laminate top raised up and split and did not resettle into place. The store techs came out twice after I refuted their original denials and I got the same answer about some bogus accumulation claim. To make a long story short, their warranty covers absolutely nothing. They list abrasive chemicals in their warranty if you don’t use their cleaners but there is no mention of water, juices, or normal drinks listed. Go to Bob’s discount furniture. They stand up to their warranties.

absolutely do not buy Bernie Phil’s #Warranty bait and switch. The salesman told us if the couch gets dirty and we couldn’t clean it that the service contract would cover cleaning upon calling they came out with a little bottle and rag and they’re just gonna clean one little spot for the amount of money I paid for the #Warranty I could hired someone a few times to come out and clean the couch the right way. This is just a warning. Do not buy their #Warranty bait and switch.

We had bought furniture three times at Bernie and Phils. We had bought the warranties, and they did a good job servicing us. We had bought two chairs to go with the two sectionals in a large family room. We had service three times on the two chairs mechanical parts as they reclined as the others do. During the third service visit we said we hated the chairs and did B and P have a lemon law rule. He didn't know and he left. All this furniture was now two years old, still in the warranty. Two weeks later, a woman from B and P phoned and said to me that they understand our frustration and if we wanted, they would give us a credit for the full price of the two chairs, and we could select two other chairs/recliners with that credit. Not cheap. We selected two other recliners costing a little more with the warranties and took the others back. A year later, we love them and have had no service. B and P is very fair to deal with.

I’d give zero stars if I could. My elderly mother-in-law purchased a mattress set. We were very specific with the salesman that we would need removal of a king mattress, split adjustable box AND HEADBOARD, and were told “no problem - we’ll take all that.” First, the delivery folks did not want to put to coasters down to protect the floor. I has to convince them to do so, so they eventually did. Then, they would NOT take the headboard despite the “no problem” we got in the store. We even did them the courtesy of taking the old set apart for them before they came. I called customer service while they were there, who said they’d call back. We did not get a call until AFTER the truck left. She then said that the headboard would be $100 to remove - but the truck is gone, so, not their problem I guess. Now I have to arrange and pay extra to find someone to take a king-size headboard out of my house. We have purchased a lot of furniture and bedding from them (almost exclusively) previously over the years. We will not be doing so again. There are plenty if furniture stores that will gladly have our business.

I would like to take a moment to thank the two individuals in truck 401 who delivered my furniture today in Provincetown. Both were prompt, kind, considerate and very respectful.... It was very snowy and very cold. They both went above and beyond to make our continued purchases with Bernie & Phyls a pleasant success.... Go Pats!

With the help of a charity that helps the disabled vets and families get furnishings for their home we went to Bernie & Phyls Saugus Ma. I served in the army and am disabled after working 42 years. They were offering a promotion for either a Master Card or Food Voucher up to $2500.00 depending on amount spent. We spent $8000 and paid for everything so we qualified for a $1600 MC or Food Voucher. We asked about it and the manager said we didn't qualify because a charity helped me. He said in the charity contract the company does not allow them to take advantage of promotions. I found out that is not in the contract and there was nothing in the promotion stopping us from getting the offer. The manager said and I quote " those decisions are made at corporate and my hands are tied". I called corporate twice and was told it was at the discretion of the manager so he lied. They put me back intouch with him and I said I'm not asking for the $1600.00 we qualify for I would be happy with the lowest one for $400 especially since the I have no food for November as the SNAP benefits will not be issued. He said even if the food voucher was issued it would go to the charity that helped me and be in their name. Charity rep said fine and they'd use it on me. I said is losing an $8000 sale worth withholding a $400 food voucher that would have fed my family for a month. He said not to threaten him and to do what I want with the order. I called corporate back and explained everything again in detail and that the manager said the decision comes only from the manager in the Sagus Ma location who has sole discretion. They said sorry but there nothing we can do. He acted like he was paying for the food voucher out of his pocket. People let it be known this company makes hundreds of millions a year and cared so little about people in the community and customers that they refused to honored this promotion even partially to help a family in desperate need. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I bought a sofa and also paid extra for the protection plan, believing it would give me peace of mind. When I filed a claim, they refused to cover it, saying my dogs damaged the sofa. This is completely false because my dogs don’t even get on the sofa. They also claimed it was “full of dog hair,” which is ridiculous since my dogs don’t have fur. It is clear they are just looking for excuses not to honor the warranty.

When I called customer service to explain the situation, the representative was extremely rude and unhelpful, and even hung up the phone on me. That is completely unacceptable and disrespectful. A company that treats paying customers this way has no integrity.

I feel scammed out of my money, both for the sofa and the protection plan. They take your money but don’t stand behind their products or promises. The quality of the sofa is disappointing, the warranty is worthless, and the customer service is insulting.

I would warn anyone: do not buy from this company. They sell defective products, push fake protection plans, and treat customers terribly. Save yourself the frustration and spend your money somewhere else.

Buyer Beware- Do NOT buy anything from Bernie & Phyl's Furniture they do not stand behind their protection plan and blame it on wear and tear, after reading reviews online from people that are all having the same problem they just want your money and lie to you about what you are getting just to put money in there pockets. If you do shop there think of this as a warning before you walk through their doors.

Connie was an excellent salesperson. She helped me get a new recliner chair for next day delivery. 10/10 would recommend Bernie and Phyls to anyone.

I bought a couch after 3 months I received it. Now after 8 months it is so uncomfortable and it was over a thousand dollars. The person they sent out said it is the cushions settling. Well if that is true then it is a garbage couch because sitting on the seats hurts me so much i want to cry. This is so uncomfortable why would I want to feel like I am sitting on concrete after spending so much money. I wouldn't recommend furniture from here. They are very nice but that doesn't change the comfort of their products.

I bought a table and sofa with insurance, the table was delivered as if it were used, I complained and they replaced it, but my sofa is coming apart and the wood is broken, they told me they won't fix it because I have a dog. Don't pay for a service you won't get

This company is selling inferior merchandise and when something goes wrong, they point towards the manufacturer saying it isn't their fault. They are selling junk for top dollar. I purchased a leather sectional one year and one month ago. I live alone so this sofa is not used excessively and it is already sagging to the floor. They sent a technician out who said it cannot be fixed because it is poorly made and others who have purchased from this vendor have had the same complaint. Bernie & Phyls STILL sells it!!! What a scam.

I oy buy furniture from this store! The comfort cause me to rest as if I'm sleeping in my bed!

I have purchased 2 seperate living room sets from this store, both broke within 1 year, poor quality. Overpriced furniture should definitely last longer. The biggest issue I have would be their "furniture protection plan" I purchased the plan with both sets and now I am seeing a pattern, they claim they will come out and fix any (non-pet damage) when I called they were unable to have someone come out for 3 weeks, and now they are stating my couch is not covered under the protection because of "accumulation" so I have 1 back cushion that started coming off the couch because of the sewing and I have a few spots we're the fabric is starting to fray so there are too many issues? Scam

we recently purchased a Posturepedic king adjustable bed. our salesperson Marianne was very helpful and knowledgeable. she has a wonderful personality and makes our shopping experience a joy. we will definitely come back if need be. looking forward to or new bed.

My husband and I just made purchase of a sofa and ottoman at the store in Newington, NH. We had an excellent experience with Rebecca Hamilton. She was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and most personable. Rebecca offered suggestions and solutions after listening carefully to us. We will wait 4-7 weeks for the items but feel confident we made wonderful decisions with Rebecca's assistance. We actually met an old friend as we were leaving and suggested she look for Rebecca to help her!

Over 2 years ago I reached out to both the company and the attorney generals office about my couch which the representative from Bernie and Phyl's came to our home and told us that we bought JUNK! Bernie and Phyl's will not refund us or let us reselect another piece of furniture even though we purchased a separate 5 year warranty. Please make sure you check other furniture companies before shopping at Bernis & Phyl's. They are not a caring reputable company. BEWARE!!

i bought a couch recently for $999 and it came as described .. overall condition is great.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!MANUFACTURE DEFECT!!!couches are made very poorly.ripping at the seams.they lie about the warranty.say it is 2 years and when you call for service they say only 1 year.now i have a 2,000$ couch that is falling apart!!
