1 star. Bought a BLACK+DECKER BPWM09W portable washer and the lid hinge failed within months. I filed a warranty claim in February, well within the 1 year warranty, and sent everything they asked for (proof of purchase, video, photos) by March 30. After that I heard nothing back for months, despite following up repeatedly by email and five or six phone calls, each time being told "claims are reviewing it." By the time they finally responded, they denied the claim, claiming I hadn't followed up during the warranty period, which is simply false, I have the full documented email thread proving otherwise. Their own delays pushed the case past the warranty deadline and they're using that as the excuse to deny a legitimate claim. No offer of a real fix either, just a suggestion to buy a replacement part for a fault no part can fix. Avoid these products, cheap and break easy and absolutely avoid this brand's customer service, and don't expect them to honor their own warranty.

I purchased a Black and Decker Air Fry Toaster Oven for my move. The box proclaimed a two year limited warranty. Within two weeks of actually using it, the non stick coating on the included pan started to dangerously flake. I reached out to support with documentation of my purchase and the defect, assuming that they would honour the warranty and ship a new pan. It seemed very straightforward to me.

It wasn't. They requested more documentation (all of which I provided immediately) and then denied my warranty claim. They said accessories included with the item have a 30 day warranty, which had just passed because I hadn't started using it right away. They told me to buy a replacement pan from an authorized retailer.

I argued that this was unlawfully misleading because of the claims on the box. They eventually responded that they couldn't provide a pan as it isn't available separately (a lie considering their first response), but as a courtesy would provide an entirely new unit if I destroyed my current one right away and provided proof.

This is terribly wasteful and unreasonable to expect I would destroy a functional appliance over a tray and then wait for a replacement for weeks. Especially as I had not even asked for a new one and clearly wasn't scamming. I offered to destroy it within 24-48 hours of receiving a new functional appliance. They took over a week to respond, only responding several days after I emailed them yet again. They simply repeated their demand to destroy the unit. I believe that they are purposely doing this to inconvenience people and discourage them from pursuing warranty claims.

I have made complaints with the Competition Bureau and Consumer Affairs Ontario. I have also reported this danger to Health Canada as people could get sick from this. I advise that no one purchase Black and Decker products as the quality is dangerously poor and the company is dishonest and doesn't honour their advertised warranty.

Just purchased a Black & Decker Thermal Programmable 12-CUP Coffee Maker, CM2045B. I initially struggled to get the delay brew. One online helped a bit but still left me with questions. When I reached out to Black&Decker they wanted me to pay to chat with someone. No way. I would return the product first. Eventually I figured it out. The PM symbol is very small. The buttons are not back lit. If you are older or have eye issues, this is not the coffee maker for you. Better directions inside the manual would be very helpful. Including graphics to show what happens would even be more helpful. So far I like the coffee but it took me multiple tries to figure out how to make it work to meet my needs. I was a Mr. Coffee user but decided to try Black and Decker. I never had this issue with Mr. Coffee. Time will tell. To attempt to charge me to get help seriously detracts from the product. I may still send it back.

Black and Decker Vitessa Advanced Steam Iron provided everything what you can expect of a steam iron. Heated up well and the steam was perfect. It is not too heavy and the shiny sole plate smoothened every wrinkle.
This was all great until, almost four years to the date I bought it, I could not have it heat up.
After I called Spectrum Brands, my only option was to buy another one with some small discount. Since I really liked this iron, I bought it, but I was miffed when I read the promotional reviews from people who received a FREE iron.

I bought a Black + Decker 3000W iron and very disappointed with it. First of all the water container is black and so you can`t see when it is full or empty. If you are right-handed as I am the water flap opens the wrong way. The temperature dial also is very hard to read. The water container runs out after a couple of items. The cord is not long enough and I have to use an extension. I won`t be buying another.

Jeg har en advarsel mod Stanley Black & Decker værktøjsvogn (STANLEY ESSENTIAL VÆRKTØJSVOGN PÅ HJUL producent nr.: STST1-80151). Jeg har oplevet de samme problemer med to forskellige værktøjsvogne: De to greb af plastik, der er i hver side (altså 4 stk. i alt) er alt for spinkle eller lavet i en for dårlig kvalitet. De revner for et godt ord! Selv ved meget forsigtig brug går de i stykker, og det betyder, at værktøjsvognen reelt er ubrugelig. Nu er det anden gang, at jeg må skifte denne type værktøjsvogn ud, blot fordi grebene er gået i stykker. Det er simpelthen for dårligt Stanley!
Derfor denne advarsel om dårlig kvalitet til andre, der overvejer at købe dette produkt.
PS. Jeg har været i kontakt med Stanleys afdeling for kundesupport - men de virker komplet ligeglade desværre. Det har været spild af tid!
