BLKBRD Shoemaker is fraudulent.

I purchased a pair of shoes for $150 in late May. In late June they arrived; however, to receive the package I was to be charged an addition $75. They had claimed prior to purchase that they'd cover taxes/duties.

I did not accept the package and it was returned to BLKBRD. The unopened shoes have been sitting at a UPS facility in Delhi, India for nearly 2-months because BLKBRD refuses to accept them. They are also refusing to refund me for the unopened/undelivered shoes because they don't have them in their possession, which is crazy because they are purposefully refusing to receive them.

I've contacted BLKBRD numerous times for my refund. They ghosted me for about 1 month, but have now responded. Sandeep and Pradeep at the company tell me they won't live up to their refund policy because they can't accept the returned package without paying fees.

Truly embarrassing customer service. Do not purchase from this company. They are fraudsters.

Superb service and craftsmanship. I wanted their Logger model, but in a different leather, sole and a change of last to better accommodate my foot, 44 days later I received a perfect copy of what I asked for.
I'm UK so on top of taxes(20%) and fees there's also an extra duty (8%) for importing footwear from India, still making them far cheaper than comparable models

For shoe : Dixon, Cap-Toe Derby Boot INR ₹22,320.00
For engraving : INR ₹1,200.00
For shipping: INR ₹3,500.00

Now when I am about to receive the shoe , I am charged additionally;
DUTY TAX PROCESSING* (AV) (incl. VAT): jpy 2400
IMPORT EXPORT DUTIES (DT): Joy 7200
IMPORT EXPORT TAXES (TX) : JPY 3000
Total: 12400 (INR 7350) thats 1//3 of the shoe price additional.

They didn’t inform about this additional cost , they kept silent, and now they are not ready to deal with the problem. Thats how they do …..

Late delivery, poor response, additional cost and irresponsible about the additional hidden cost that they hide from you is what you are getting.. I absolutely dont recommend this site and this brand, too much time was wasted……

Ordered custom pair of shoes. Company supplied wrong shoes which were also damaged with shoddy workmanship. Despite several emails and WhatsApp messages and LinkedIn message directly to the CEO, I have had no response. One particular phone call to the company, on hearing my name they disconnected the call. I am based in Kenya the Company is in India
