Une excursion parfaite avec Book Tour Egypt, pas un couac; chauffeur à l heure à 3h45 du matin, vols reser8, Guide francophone comme prévu, très sympa, juste pour nous, qui nous attendait à l aéroport du Caire. Bref une journée très complète et inoubliable.
On a tous une appréhension et des inquiétudes dans ces excursions à l étranger mais franchement avec B T Égypte vous pouvez aller tranquille. On communique en permanence en français par wattsapp pour vous donner les infos. Merci à Souhaila de BTEgypt pour son assistance.
Une très belle journée chez les Pharaons.

We had a perfectly organized trip to Cairo. Right at the beginning, we enjoyed a short Nile boat ride – a great idea so we didn’t have to wait too long before entering the museum. Everything was well arranged: flights from Sharm to Cairo and back, regular contact via WhatsApp, and the agency always checking if everything was fine.

At the museum, we had around 2.5 hours. Our guide Sameh impressed us with his deep knowledge, gave us many useful tips, helped us with photos, and even protected us from pushy people asking for money. Visiting the Pyramids was an unforgettable experience. A lovely detail: Sameh even bought us ice cream – such a kind personal gesture.

Our driver Mohamad Zahedan was very friendly, the car clean and comfortable. In the end, we also had some free time in Cairo’s modern downtown to grab a bite before our flight back.

Conclusion: A truly well-organized and memorable trip – highly recommended. Many thanks to Sameh and Mohamad!

Everything was perfect from the time it was booked to the pick up early morning, the flights and most of all our brilliant guide Fahme who met met at Cairo airport. The real good part about the day is nothing was rushed, we had plenty of time to see and do everything.
Fahme was so knowledgeable on egyptian history and it was made so interesting and also fun. It really was a full on very tiring day but for what you get out of it, its so worth the early start.
I cant recommend this excursion enough. All I can say is "Brilliant" so thank you

We booked a family trip through Book Tours before we went on our holiday a day trip to Cairo, we were a large group of 13 of us so booked a private tour. We had the most amazing trip from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo, Book Tours kept us informed and updated by WhatsApp constantly. A small tip to others when you arrive on your flight at Sharm El Sheikh you are given an opportunity to get your Visas if you are planning a trip to Cairo, I would suggest that you get them as it's cheaper and all done before your trip. Saying that we did not do this and Book Tours arranged it all on the morning of our trip it was a little stressful but ended up all perfect. Our driver picked us up from our hotel and arranged the visas perfectly, the check in and flight all went smoothly and we were greeted at Cairo airport by our guide Fahme, he is an absolute legend so friendly and passionate and informative about Cairo and its present day and history. We arrived early which was perfect as Fahme had a full day planned for us. We drove straight to the pyramids and were one of the first to arrive before the crowds, we were given an opportunity to go to the panorama to see all of the pyramids from across the desert, this is an additional cost by camel or pony and carriage, and is quite an experience and photo opportunity, some of us did and some did not and its not an issue either way. Fahme arranges it all and advises you. We then went straight to the Sphinx which is truly amazing and breathtaking and then onto the pyramids, they are totally mesmerizing and we just stood in awe. We had approx 3 hours there and Fahme was guiding and giving us information and then left us to do a bit of our own sight seeing. There are several people constantly trying to sell you items and they can be a bit intrusive at times. We then met up with Fahme and he took us to a Oil / perfume outlet, where we were offered refreshments and given a presentation. You are not pressured to purchase but it was pleasant and the aircon and refreshments were greatly received. We then had a trip to a place that makes Papyrus again a brief interesting presentation and a chance to buy, no pressure. Onto a wonderful lunch stop a gorgeous selection of food, (you pay for your drinks but very reasonable) with a great view of the pyramids from Cairo. Then onto the Cairo museum, again Fahme was full of knowledge and information and guided us around the museum, we even had the opportunity to see some of the Tutankhamun collection, this was the original museum as the new museum is not yet open to the public. (It's very warm in here, take water) On the subject of water, we had plenty of water supplied to us in the minibus in a refrigerated box which was amazing. As we requested, Fahme then took us on a boat trip on the Nile (additional small charge) but what a fun way to get a view of Cairo from the river, not a desert / palm tree view but a cosmopolitan view, with lots of enjoyment, music and chances of some crazy photography done expertly by Fahme. Then off to Old Cairo to look at the markets / shops this was a little crazy and very uncomfortable, you are constantly approached to shop in all of the shops / stalls and a lot of beggars / mothers with babies / children asking for money or to buy balloons, hankies, bracelets etc. Most of us didn't buy as it was too uncomfortable to haggle. Then a meet up with Fahme again and he walked us through the Old Cairo showing us the old buildings and some of the history. Then our excellent driver was waiting for us to sweep us back to the airport to fly back to Sharm El Shiekh and again we were met by our original driver even though our flight was delayed. Overall we would thoroughly recommend you book your trip with Book Tours and if you can put a request in for Fahme as we all felt that he really made our day with his friendly, fun and informative manner.

Here is a real review with the good and the bad. No filter.

1. Ahmed, the guide, was not only very knowledgeable but truly inspirational; a lovely kind man who’s passion is delivering a great experience. He did that in spades. The world needs more people like him 😀
2. Pyramid visit was amazing and he organised/negotiated a camel/carriage ride and no vendor took advantage because he was running the show. Breathtaking experience I will never forget. Facts along the way and insights into Egyptian culture, modern and past. Visit about 2 hrs.
3. Optional boat ride on the nile was OK, I had somehow imagined something less city based for that but it was OK. Not sure the local fixation with playing Arabic hip-hop 24/7 at full volume helped with the experience. 30 mins. Glad thats over.
4. Egyptian musem with Ahmed was special because he is a trained Egyptologist so there was no limit to his knowledge there. Museum has no A/C so be aware - it’s uncomfortable. New museum opening 2025 late I believe; should be a better venue. Amazing to see Tut Ankhamun’s grandparents mummies, hair in tact. Visit 1.5hrs
5. Visit to the essential oils was a well-trodden classic up-sell, for me of no real interest but the vendors were not pushy and were very accommodating. Lasted an hour I reckon.
6. Visit to papyrus shop and some insights by the owner on papyrus properties and manufacturing was - to me - fascinating but again no appetite for a purchase - very tourist focused products on sale. 30mins
7. Visit to street market, very enjoyable but one feels a bit like a goldfish in a bowl. Mostly respectful vendors who were only trying but not too pushy. I suspect it would be far worse without the guide present. I would live to visit there again and have more time. Event was about an hour
8. Lunch - great venue with good quality food selections; typically Arabic and nothing touristy. We had to Pay for drinks is all. 1Hr.
9. Viator themselves are very responsive but lack knowledge on details of visas etc and so when I was left with an issue about this I felt a little like it was out of their control.
10. In order to resolve the visa issue we had to “pay a man” who knew someone in the airport, small amount of money like 6 Euros each to “get the stamp changed” but clearly its the Egyptian way and this happens in plain sight. There was a man in plain clothes running about with probably 20 passportd in his hand, which he had gotten “fixed”.
11. To avoid all this - if you want to leave Sharm to go to Cairo make sure you get the visa online before you depart UK. I did this but you must show it on entry to Sharm to get the big stamp in your passport that allows onward travel. I could not see instructions in that aspect and so was not aware. Do this to get a smooth ride through in your way from Sharm to Cairo. There were many who had not done this. Quite a business for these men.
12. My biggest gripe with this trip was that the operator changes the departure time - thiugh when challenged - leans on a tenuous statement in the T&C about the “exact time can change”. This was moved from 6AM collection at hotel to 3:20! The justification being that this is dictated by flight times. Of course but then say that and offer the earliest worst case so folks can make an informed decision. Our flight was 6AM and we were collected promptly at 3:20AM. This honestly ruined it for us, I was delirious with little sleep and my wife had none. Too tired to enjoy it fully. We arrived back at hotel at 11PM same day. So for the “offered” 6AM pickup, that would mean a lot less time in Cairo. I feel this muddy communication is deliberate and takes advantage of tourist desire to see the pyramids - which was fantastic - but clearly over-selling the trip to look like the competition from other vendors is worse, when it is actually that they state a more accurate collection time.
13. The flight times is 1HR with 2Hr check-in, so thats 6hrs of your day just travelling by air but still half the bus equivalent.
14. The driving in Cairo is, by any European standard, insane(except Positano perhaps) and there should be many deaths but somehow it seems to work for them. They seem proud if it. I had a front seat view from the minibus and throughly enjoyed the immense skill of our driver Mustafa. I even tipped him for keeping us all alive ;-)

It was the second time we visited Cairo, the first was on our own. Having a guide that loves his job made a massive difference, Ahmed was fantastic and filled every bit of our visit with information. I couldn't recommend this trip enough, if you are lucky enough to get Ahmed you are in for a fun filled informative ride. 10/10

Abbiamo fatto l'escursione da sharm al cairo in aereo e posso dirvi che è stato tutto molto preciso,professionale e senza alcun problema, dal volo all'entrata nel museo,cosi come la cammellata alle piramidi..tutto perfetto..a noi ci ha accompagnati Benedetto,una persona super preparata..merita tanti tanti applausi...una delle più belle esperienze

Our guide Laila was absolutely outstanding, the amount of knowledge this lady has is absolutely in credible. the stories she was able to tell, the histor y, wow we learnt so much from her, we really could n't have asked for a better guide. what made it bet ter is that she wasn't just 'doing her job' she was ju st genuinely a lovely person and wanted to get to k now us and made the effort to do so too, we got o n so well!! our driver saad was amazing, he was so happy to help with anything, so friendly, polite and not to mention a safe driver. A few of the excursion s we've done, the driving has been questionable lo I, however we felt completely safe in his hands. and a credit to him for such a long day also, he did so well. both laila and saad are a credit to this compa ny. All in all, if you are thinking about doing this trip, just book it, it was absolutely fantastic!

I recently joined a day trip from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo with Book Tour Egypt, and it was truly one of the most memorable travel experiences I've ever had.

From the moment we boarded the plane, everything was perfectly organized. Upon arrival in Cairo, we were greeted by a professional and friendly guide who made sure we felt comfortable and informed throughout the entire day. His knowledge, kindness, and attention to detail were exceptional — he answered every question and made ancient history come alive for us.

We visited the Egyptian Museum, where we were amazed by the incredible collection of artifacts. Then we enjoyed a peaceful felucca ride on the Nile, which was a magical way to take in the beauty of the city. Of course, the highlight was exploring the Pyramids and the Sphinx — absolutely breathtaking! We even had break on a stunning terrace with panoramic views of these iconic landmarks. It was the perfect moment to soak in the atmosphere and reflect on the wonders around us.

All transfers were done in modern, air-conditioned vehicles, and the drivers were punctual, courteous, and very helpful. The entire experience felt safe, smooth, and well-coordinated.

We went to Cairo and the pyramids tour, and the pyramids made all the difference: it was amazing!! To be near that was a dream come true. Now, the rest was a bit poor: it began by an old minibus collect us and a few more people, and after 2 hours(!) around Sharm El Sheikh, we enter in a big bus, this one very good, with fine conditions, that made a 7 hour drive a bit easier. Cairo is a 20 million people city, very degraded, and full of cars; our guide left us to our own most of the time; The Egyptian Museum is almost empty (2 thirds of all items already transferred to the new Museum, near the pyramids, to be open soon); lunch was a simple buffet with few choices (although with a “view” to the pyramids). So, if you want to see the pyramids - 👍, the rest is just to fill time.
