Poor customer service for secure…
Poor customer service for secure buyers. Visited the Pippins Place development in West Malling as a cash buyer with two mortgage-free properties. I was told there is a long waiting list for an unbuilt plot ready next summer, and that I would need to sell my home and go into rented accommodation to proceed. I was also told to chase them monthly for updates. The sales team completely failed to value a secure, chain-free buyer. They should be chasing the client, not the other way around.

Your representative was very personable, professional and engaging. He gained insight into my circumstances, my wants and needs in a non intrusive and friendly manner. He provided me with answers to all I asked and it was evident he knew the site, availability and options in detail. He took me around the showhome and where I recognised a negative i.e. no double oven, he offered a suggestion. He followed up same day with videos and virtual tours of a 3 bedroom detached as he promised. This was a positive experience for me

Unreliable completion timelines and poor communication regarding build progress
I am writing to share our recent experience with Bovis Homes regarding our property purchase.
For several months, we received regular updates indicating that our completion date was on track for the end of September. Because we are currently renting and required to give a strict 2-month notice to our landlord, we kept the sales team fully informed of our timeline throughout the process.
In late August, we were given a specific target date for the NHBC sign-off (18th September). Relying on these written updates provided directly by Bovis, we gave notice on our rental property.
However, just days before the expected sign-off, we received formal notification via solicitors/email that completion would be delayed until late October.
When we raised our concerns regarding accommodation, Bovis pointed out that the contractual timeframe allows a 6-month buffer ("September plus six months") and declined responsibility for any associated costs, stating that notice should not have been given without a fixed completion date.
While we understand the legal contract terms, receiving such a delay notification via formal email at such short notice—after months of reassuring updates—has left our family facing significant challenges with temporary accommodation and additional costs. I urge management to improve transparency and provide buyers with earlier, more accurate updates on site progress.

The journey of finding and getting home obviously requires deposits, qualifications, and all the necessary prerequisites. However, what truly makes the difference is the intent, attitude, and approach of the person on the other side of the table.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have met such a lovely person as Janina. She may have been doing her job as a sales professional, but for us, she became so much more than that. She became someone who genuinely understood what finding the right home meant to us.
Having the right living environment is extremely important to me. This is where life unfolds every day, and as parents, one of the greatest things we can give our children is the right environment in which they can grow, feel safe, and create wonderful memories.
And we feel incredibly fortunate that Janina helped make this possible for us.
She went above and beyond to ensure that we found not just a house, but a home and a wonderful neighbourhood. We are extremely happy with where we are today, and a huge part of that is because of her.
Janina, THANK YOU doesn’t quite feel enough. You will always be remembered by our family, and we will certainly have a story to tell our friends about the experience we had with you.
What started as a professional relationship naturally developed into something much more genuine and personal. That is something very special, and not something that happens every day.
