So disappointed! My sister is visiting from the USA 1st time in 4yrs to visit and to see her great neice 1st time since she was born. So my sister wanted to bring a few presents for her. She went online for build a bear and decided to buy her one of the new mini beanie animals, a rainbow bear. It says on the web site it still comes with a little birth certificate and gives you an option to include a message. She did all this and a couple of days later it arrived. The most beautiful little bear! But, chucked in a plain black postage bag. No wrapping, no message, no certificate!! I wrote to them only to be told it doesnt come with a certificate and got no answer about the message she was asked to write. I wrote back asking again whats the point of asking to write the message. I sent them a screen shot of the purchase description showing it comes with a certificate plus the message they asked for, just to be sent a very condescending email back with if i want anything extra to go to my nearest shop 😡 really not happy with their false advertising and don't care attitude

Awful customer service. You send an email to enquire about an order and you get an email back asking you to ring a phone number. Was on the phone for over half an hour trying to get issue resolved, still not sure if it has been. I was constantly being put on hold so the person could ask someone else what to do. They were pleasant enough but they obviously had no idea what was going on and the phone line was awful.

Parcel never arrived.
Build a Bear tell you to contact DPD, but number doesn’t work and the reference number doesn’t work on the website.

Total scam!!!

have just returned home from work to find my delivery from Build a Bear on the door step which is fine. However the box was an absolute mess all broken,

Upon looking in the broken box, you had not put the little outfit that I bought, separately in a little bag from the wardrobe I bought in the same order but instead it has just been slung in the box, not wrapped up. Really not what I would expect from a company such as yours.

It is totally unacceptable to be sent an order from you in this state. I myself send out orders for women's clothing and I always wrap the orders up professionally and with care.

Hugs and kisses as you so put when an order is placed where definitely NOT on their way.

I paid for the ultimate celebration party package for my sons birthday .I was informed by email the party would be between 3 and 5 pm ,stated party games fun activities and everything that came with it .upon arriving to the liverpool one store (which is only a small store ) I found at least 3 or 4 other parties where taking place at the same time .there was no designated party area the children were sat on the floor towards the back of the shop .no party games took place .the lady hosting the party kept telling my 4 year old austic son not to touch this and not to touch that and not to do that yet and not to do that yet .my son totally freaked out due to an extremely busy store in which you were constantly having to swerve past people that he went to run out of the store twice it was in no way shape or form the party that was advertised and it finished at 4.15 instead of 5.i contacted build a bear and was told I would be contacted with in 24 to 48 hours how ever I never received this call I have chased this up an additional 2 times to be told again to expect a call from someone higher up within 24 to 48 hours and still no response.so not only was the was party cut short by 45 minutes they also didn't deliver the party advertised in an extremely packed and busy shop that made even me feel anxious let alone the kids . Don't bother complaining to customer service as your complaint won't be dealt with .

The website is absolutely rubbish on any device except for an actual computer or laptop. You cannot select any subcategories when you click on the tab and when when it goes to the overall tab page the subcategories are not given anywhere.

Bought a toy before Xmas the voice thing didn't work 3 calls hung up on twice and told as the toy was out of stock they could not replace so either I keep the broken teddy or return for a refund no other option

Kept the toy as its what my kid asked for but the voice didn't work took this long for them to come back to and they have closed the complaint with still no resolution

Over the years we have bought at least 2 teddy's a year but this was the last one I hope they go bust only them to blame selling £50 teddy's that don't work

DON'T GO TO BUILD A BEAR!
There "stores" mostly refuse to accept any vouchers and they won't print a certificate. The website will screw you over and send you to what they call stores but in reality they have nothing to do with the actual company, despite them sending you to them, I spoke to employee's and they expressed frustration as well. (the people working were a delight and I have no fault with them)
But keep in mind they will rip you off and lie to you where you can get 'reimbursed'. I will never buy here again

The bears are truly lovely, however the website is an absolute shambles and covered in glitches. Customer service may as well be bots cus they hardly ever understand what your issue is and reply generically to everything. I dont care about bear puns when im trying to deal with an issue and as it takes effort to contact customer service id like them to read the issue before responding with things that are generic responses and irrelevant and god save you if u have an issue with your order. Make sure its correct cus they DO NOT cancel orders even if u contact them right away and they see it quickly theyll still refuse u and go ahead and build ur bears and force the order onto u saying u can send it back but they wont refund shipping even tho u attempted to stop the shipment via cancelling well before its actually shipped and they respond basically saying “we dont care, we wont cancel, were gonna ship it anyway and ur gonna lose money” and if the problem with your order was caused by them theyll still do nothing. Trying to blame u and/or fob u off until u give up. As much as i love my BABs and want many more, they do not deserve my money. As soon as they are done releasing the sanrio bears ill be ceasing giving them my custom as their customer service “bots” are broken, poorly trained, rude, illiterate and unwilling to be helpful to the point it would almost be comical if it wasnt for the fact that its your hard earned cash they want from you, not ur satisfaction.

It was a quick delivery and it was exactly what I ordered. My little niece was super happy with her cinnamonroll plush.

I would buy from here again, I was sceptical with purchasing from here because of the reviews but I literally could not find the cinnamonroll plush anywhere. So I’m very happy with my order.

Waste of money. Paid extra for voice recorded ones but now they don't do it after only a few tries. Ridiculous

Ordered two Pokémon bundles online Saturday Morning, was expecting delivery after Christmas. Order was processed, shipped and received today. Very speedy. Thank you

Went in shop in Liverpool One to buy £30 gift voucher. Offer was on to buy £10 gift voucher for £5 so I added that as well. When I checked my receipt I had been charged the full amount for the gift card. Girl didn't know how to rectify so called someone else who wasn't too sure but assured me she had done it. When checking bank statement realised I had been charged twice, wrong amount n correct amount. Called into shop to rectify to find the staff do not know how to do refunds n neither does the district manager. Was assured they would ring me when they found out how to do it. 2 weeks later, no word and no refund. Disgraceful and will never shop there again. A shop who don't know how to do refunds, incredible.

Don’t even bother! This company is shocking. I ordered a bear with a scent in it. When I got it, the scent wasn’t in there. I called the customer service who told me I could have a FULL REFUND for the entire order and I could keep the bear. I found this a bit odd so I confirmed that with him 4 times and each time he said that was correct. So I accepted. The bear went to a charity shop and I went and bought a new one with the scent which is what they recommended. The refund took 2 weeks to come through and it was £3.50 so they’d only refunded me for the scent which is NOT what they had said. I called again and asked for a manager call back but I never got it. 2 weeks later I call again and they say they have no record of this. All these calls are recorded so they have records of this man saying this to me. For the sake of £27 they are still not refunding despite saying they would. I will never buy from this company ever again. You are better off ordering from Etsy.

Awful customer service and online ordering. It took me a week, 3 phone calls and an email before I was able to order online (only working when not using the gift card purchased when in store, not from help from "Guest Services" who ignored all contact).
Ordered with a voice record, ended up recording the message twice, both times being told it was accepted. Still received a reminder email so emailed Guest Services to check all ok - ignored. 3-4 days later I reveive an email that because I never recorded a message order is being shipped without it. Immediately called Guest Services to try to resolve, to be met with no help whatsoever, except being told I can drive to store and buy one there - a 4 hour trip. Emailed guest services and have had to go back and forth for 2 weeks getting no-where. Bot or script answers that don't help or answer what you've asked in any way. Completely infuriating and not worth it, don't waste your time.

If I could give this company no stars I would, ordered a bear a couple of weeks ago and yesterday got a notification that it had been delivered to me and I had signed for it, which never happened, the dpd driver took a picture on the doorstep then took the parcel back into the van, ive tried several times to email and phone build a bear to sort it and haven't got one response, dpd don't care either even though I've got him on camera doing it, they use a company who's drivers steal your parcels and don't care, I will never use this company or recommend them to any one, they just take you money and leave you out of pocket

Terrible experience arrived in a broken box. I requested the item to arrive dressed it wasn’t.

Scent was not found
Voucher for free delivery was not applied

Save your money
Visited the Brighton store. Staff miserable and unhelpful was not interested in being there and we felt super unwelcomed
Never again

Placed order online.. was told 2 to 3 day delivery.. after 3 days got email stating order cancelled.. nor answering my emails or messages

Why do they do stitch, Harry Potter,
Winnie the Pooh, friends but not Mickey Mouse :( please can we have a Mickey or Minnie Mouse.
