What a horrible experience!! 4 Weeks with no working refrigerator - the new refrigerator that was delivered didn't work. Canadian Appliance Source - great job at selling but if anything goes wrong, you're on your own. I had a brand new Frigidaire Professional Series refrigerator delivered on August 10. Plugged it in according to the instructions we were given. By the next evening, all the food in the refrigerator section was frozen and had to be thrown out. Pop cans burst, eggs froze, etc. I went back to the store the next morning. Sorry, they said, you have to speak with our After Sales Dept. That conversation started the ping pong process. Back and forth between After Sales at Canadian Appliance Source, Frigidaire, 2 appliance repair companies and sometimes the sales rep (who by the way was happy to get close to a $4000 sale but was apparently told by management to remove himself from being involved). Our food had to be kept in coolers in our kitchen and at refrigerators in our neighbours' homes. This was a brand new refrigerator right out of the box. No one took any responsibility for doing the right thing and getting us a working refrigerator - they would apologize for my family's inconvenience and send messages to each other about what the process was and why they couldn't do anything and then convey those back to me. Finally, today, September 6, an appliance repair technician installed a part which he said should fix the problem: we'll know in 24 hours if it worked. 4 weeks to the day without a refrigerator. I will never do business with Canadian Appliance Source again and I would suggest to anyone thinking about buying an appliance from them to think twice about giving them your money. We, as customers, deserve way better.

The response from VG at CAS below states that CAS has no way of knowing if a unit if defective and it's up to the manufacturer to deal with operational issues after the sale. I understand that and I would agree if this issue happened later on - the problem is that this unit was delivered not working - basically DOA and I believe that puts a different responsibility on CAS.

Good sale and after sale service. One drawer of the new fridge was damaged and I emailed the company. They dealt with it right away with respect and I was very impressed. Good job!

I bought, 8 items and asked for delivery i can be there only in morning, but now they just text me for 2 to 6 pm which i cancel it

I ordered fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher together. Seemed fine. Came in a week or so. But forgot to buy stove hood and guy maybe should have reminded me. Called back and got a discount but not the same. Was told it would arrive at the local CAS store on Tuesday but when I called the store they said that they were SHIPPING on Tuesday. Slowed us down. Then went Sunday to pick up and when I arrived they said no pick ups on Sunday or Monday. Went Tuesday morning and was told - pick ups weren't at 10 when store opens but at 10:30 am. Luckily, the guy was there and was good enough to help.

Our purchase was complicted by the fact that we ordered sizes of our applinces that would not fit into the space alowed. The exchanging of the appliances and crediting and debiting for the exchange was flawlless and efficient.
