Captain's Craftworks Reviews

The kitchen island that we purchased is of such amazing quality and really adds to our kitchen in every respect. Although it took a while to get our kitchen island, it is well worth the wait!

Such a brilliant addition to our kitchen. Beautifully made. Perfect

We're really happy with our butcher's block from Captain's Craftworks. Excellent craftsmanship and a fantastic addition to our kitchen. Thank you so much!

Excellent work delivery exactly on time

I have now oiled the top of our Corsair Butchers Block Kitchen Island and it looks fantastic. It is everything we were hoping for. Somehow you know when you are buying the best there is from people you can trust. All our contact with Adam and Kim was handled efficiently and pleasantly. The whole process was seamless from start to finish.

From order to delivery was 11 weeks, which for a made to order product with such amazing quality is fantastic. I contacted Adam to request the use of handles I had ordered elsewhere to match my kitchen. He was very accommodating and gave me an estimated delivery, which ended up being the date the item was delivered. It was delivered within the small time window provided and quickly installed on site. I absolutely love the pantry cupboard and really love the colour, Old English Green. It was a tough choice with a good range of colours available, the samples before ordering helped. This item was worth every penny!

really nice well made unit,

Our Butchers Block was delivered whilst we were away- it was left exactly as we had instructed and was well packaged to keep it safe. We’re extremely pleased with it, the craftsmanship is excellent! Will definitely purchase from this company again.

Very pleasant people to deal with throughout the experience and of knowing you were having something that was bespoke made to your needs and taste down to the exact colour and sizes. Would recommend!!

We have just taken delivery of our Corsair Kitchen Island from Captain Craftworks and it has been well worth the wait as it is absolutely fantastic. It has transformed our kitchen, the quality and workmanship is amazing far superior than some of the well known brands out there, I don't know how they do it for the price as it was very very reasonable. The owner delivered it himself and you could see the pride he has in what he had produced and what a nice guy. 10/10 and would highly recommend this company.

I have never had such an abusive delivery experience! My small friendly dog ran out the gate ..I immediately scooped him up & shut him away..but the driver, & owner of this company, was extremely abusive to me ..refused to bring my sideboard through the gate..dumped it in the road…my adult son came out to help with lifting…& asked the driver “ to calm down” to which he replied” you cocky little sh**”. Neighbours came out to see if I was ok when hearing the drivers abusive language…this has totally tainted the sideboard for me, I would have returned it there & then if not already payed for…a truly horrible experience!

Excellent product (butcher's block) and service. Will recommend any time.

Nice solid piece of wood with nice brackets just right for what I wanted. Also good communication.
Thank you ☺️

Fantastic service and great product. I was initially dubious to contact a company via mobile phone but I could not have been more wrong. Adam is a very straightforward, honest person who is rightly proud of his business. He was very clear and professional but totally approachable throughout, did what he said he was going to do and made us a fantastic island unit exactly to our request. It took a little time but Adam advised us this from the start and it was well worth waiting for. We use it everyday and are delighted with it both for looks and functionality.

Great product and would recommend but with a warning about the service.

It was over 18 weeks from placing my order to delivery and Adam refused to admit that it took longer than the warnings on the website which add up to a max of 14 weeks. Just an acknowledgement and even a wee apology would have helped. I was told a number of times that they are working 60-80 hours a week plus another 14 hours at weekends which doesnt sound sustainable as a recipe for a happy life. Not sure why they do personal delivery from Nottingham to Glasgow given they are already working to the max- I would have been happy to pay £50 delivery if the delay was due to waiting for a batch delivery to Scotland.

The butchers block needed taking up one floor but Adam refused to accept my help, referring to the website info which I interpreted as meaning help will be needed to carry up one floor. (“Our delivery service is 1 man and ground floor. Help must be available to carry large items unless otherwise agreed in advance. For difficult access or non ground floor deliveries please contact us before ordering".)
The block had to be left outside overnight till I found someone that would lift it with me.

I was left with the impression that Adam was pretty stressed, but improved communication would go a long way to make this a five star review.

Very helpful advice and service level excellent

I purchased an island, which arrived yesterday. It’s a beautiful piece of furniture just what I wanted and looks amazing in my kitchen. I would highly recommend Thank you so much.

The larder is beautiful build and compliments the existing units in the kitchen
I highly recommend them.

Delivery could have been a bit friendlier

We are so happy with our larder cupboard well made and the finish is perfect. Would highly recommend.

Excellent shelves, well made and they look great, words can not say how pleased we are with the workmanship. Thoroughly recommend Captain's Craft works, and they are also great value for money.
