Never rent here! I couldn’t finish my review, more to say, not enough room to type it all!
Do yourself a favor, rent from somewhere else.
The lady that runs the place, Angie or Antje, She goes by both, is one of the most unpleasant people I have ever dealt with.
I found her on google, called around 10 times within a week, and she finally answered. Her prices looked cheap so I really wanted to get ahold of her. I told her what I was interested in and she begin getting all my details. I stopped her in the middle and said do you mind telling me the price and she says we will get to that. So I was like ok, and just let her finish. We finished up and I gave her the CC info. She told me she would see me on June 3 around 10:00 at PIE airport. We were flying out of Nashville to Clearwater/st Petersburg airport.
Our flight ended up being delayed. I received a text from the airport that day at 12:00 pm saying that there would be a hour delay and we would be arriving by 11:00 pm. I emailed and let her know. We arrived at the airport and then received an alert about another delay saying we wouldn’t depart until 9:30 pm, meaning we wouldn’t arrive in Clearwater until 12 am. I had to text her again. She was getting aggravated and wanted me to find out what was taking so long.
We boarded the plane finally but with mechanical issues and such we ended up sitting on the plane for 2 hrs waiting for it to take off. I had a 22 month in my lap, my husband beside me and my 8 yr old daughter beside me. We also had a 14 and 15 yr old teenager with us sitting behind us and this was all the kids first flight. So it was difficult but they were troopers. During this I was stressing and Angie kept texting me, and I kept telling her how sorry I was. We ended up arriving at the airport around 2 in the morning. She told us she would be in the parking lot facing the road. Well, there were a few doors, and of course we came out of the wrong one on the side and had to walk around to her van and she was like I told you this door! I just laughed it off, I couldn’t figure out if she was playing or mad. I figured it was just her personality. While my husband was loading everything she told him to take that mask off because we were in the sane state now. I laughed that off too but I could tell my husband was getting a bit annoyed with her. We drove to her office so I could sign the papers and run the credit card. She was pleasant on the drive and we even tss as liked about how we were going to Busch gardens and she was telling us how great the rollercoasters were. When we got to the office I went inside with her, signed papers and we ran the card. The card got declined and she said it was declined and she seemed aggravated. It was my moms card and she was paying for our rental to help us out. It was out of state so it got denied. I called my mom and she said the CC company was closed and she would have to call in the morning and she was sorry. I got off the phone and told Angie and she was like you don’t have another credit card? I said no and she seemed annoyed and I was like I don’t know what to do, and at that point I was stressed, tired, and emotional and the tears started and I couldn’t stop them. She was like, now stop that Amanda. You just get the credit card taken care of and come back tomorrow to run it again. So I was super thankful and gave her $400 in cash for the security deposit. We left and drove to the hotel and I was saying how great she was and so happy that she trusted us and let us go ahead and take the van. We got up the next day and went to Busch gardens as planned, and texted her when we left as planned so we could run the card. She was like well I am in the middle of cooking dinner, and I said well we need to eat too, so we can just meet you after we eat. She said that worked, have a grand dinner, and call her when we were done. We drove to a restaurant close to her office so in case she called we would be close by. We met up with my husbands family that he hadn’t seen in a long time. We had to wait for a table for a bit because the place was a little small and we were a group of 14 people. I had called her around 6:30 and told her we were leaving Busch gardens. It was about a 45 minute drive to the restaurant and 5 minutes to her office. So we sat down to eat about 8 pm after a 30 - 40 minute wait on the table. At 8:45 my phone started ringing. It was Angie. I said Hello? She said Where are you!? Screaming at me. I was like hey, hold on. I went outside to talk to her. I said we are just finishing up eating, I’m sorry. She continued yelling at me and was like how could you still be eating!? I was up late last night and there’s no other rental company that would do what I did for you!?I need you to come here now!! I tried cutting in explaining to get that we were only minutes away, there was a wait, and she never gave me a deadline, but I couldn’t get anything in because she just kept yelling. So finally I was like, ok, I’ll tell u what, I’ll pull my kids away from their food. We went to her office and Ricky went in and paid. She never apologized.
