Chancellors - Botley Reviews 

The Chancellors team in Botley branch are excellent, Daisy in the Property Management team in particular. Easy, quick and clear to deal with - this has changed my opinion of the brand entirely having had previous negative experiences approx 5-7 years ago with Cowley branch.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the Sales Director, Anthony Bell, and his sales team for providing an exceptional level of service and expertise throughout the sales process from excellent and honest advice at the market appraisal, tremendous negotiation skills and lastly a proactive approach in liaising with all parties throughout the conveyancing process. We would recommend to anybody wanting an honest and transparent service.

Property sold with the excellent help of Anthony, Ethan and all the team at Chancellors Botley. With their input on how to show off the best features for sale, advice and knowledge on marketing through to completion the team kept us informed all along the process.

Was shown a property in Botley and agent (Jessica) was very accomodating and polite, with good knowledge of the property. Experience was professional without feeling too sales pitched, and felt I was given enough time to properly view the property.

Ethan Hylton was our assigned sales negotiator. He showed us two properties in Botley. He was polite, very cheerful, prompt with communication. Though we didn't proceed with the properties, we want to thank Ethan for his time.

Ethan was kind, on time and considerate. Did not do all the "this house has a secret offer we can't tell you about so offer at the marked value thing" that so many other estate agents did trying to pressure us to bid higher or faster. He was honest, open, accommodating and good at his job. Took us to see 4 properties all over Botley/Cumnor/Binsey. Very understanding and honest agent.

Ethan was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. He answered all the questions we had and anything he didn't know he got back to us right away after the viewing. I would highly recommend Ethan to anyone who is new to their property search in the Botley area.

Really helpful team members. I personally dealt with Ethan but all the team members I spoke to at Botley were happy to help. Ethan was open and honest about properties and never tried to sway my view throughout the house search process.

We've been dealing with Charlie who has been fantastic - very friendly, helpful and supportive.
When we wanted to put in an offer, we had to complete a long and detailed form- much more so than with other agents. We found it confusing especially the section on when we'd be committed to paying the holding deposit. We made a couple of mistakes on the form, but Charlie gave us the benefit of the doubt and made sure that we had the chance to correct them without it impacting our chance of getting an offer accepted.
To book a house viewing, we went in person to the Botley branch. I'd thoroughly recommend this, since we had issues with trying to get hold of and book in with other chancellors branches via phone (East Oxford and Headington were bad for this).
The other negative is that when we were completing our property passport through the lettings hub, at every opportunity we were pushed to buy various other products- insurance, removals services, premium referencing, etc. The tone often read as almost threatening when we opted not to buy them. I don't know how this compares to other local agents.
